Mavn Creators' marketing rhetoric promises opportunities for creators of all sizes, emphasizing inclusivity and recognizing talent and dedication over follower count. However, the reality couldn't be further from this ideal. Micro-influencers are consistently overlooked and, in many cases, outright rejected. This clear bias towards creators with larger followings contradicts the very ethos that Mavn Creators claims to uphold. I work with other apps such as Trend and their application process was so much smoother and quicker! Follower count is not a part of the application process, rather we focus on creativity, engagement, diversity, location & work ethic. We're still growing as a platform & have a limited acceptance rate monthly to ensure our creators are able to experience our opportunities. User Generated content has been a huge part of the platform, where we've accepted creators with less than 1,000 followers. Micro creators are the fundamental part of the creator economy & we recognize the importance within the community we're building. We encourage you to continue creating, inspiring and growing as a creator. ### 1/5 — Very unfair and false advertising! *2023-09-24, version 2.05* I came across a statement from mavn that left me utterly disappointed and feeling deceived. The claim goes, "At mavn, we believe that follower count shouldn't be the sole determining factor for opportunities. We value creators of all sizes, recognizing their unique talents and contributions. Whether you have a million followers or not, you can apply and be a part of our thriving community." Unfortunately, my experience with mavn contradicted this statement entirely. It's disheartening to encounter a platform that outwardly claims to value creators of all sizes while, in reality, appears to place immense importance on follower count. The discrepancy between their advertised philosophy and their actions couldn't be more glaring. In practice, it's evident that mavn heavily favors those with a substantial following, effectively shutting out smaller creators. They set an arbitrary threshold of 10,000 followers for acceptance into their community, which directly contradicts their supposed inclusive approach. This is not only false advertising but also profoundly unfair to aspiring creators who are just starting or haven't reached that follower count milestone. It's crucial for platforms to be honest about their criteria for acceptance and not mislead potential users with promises of inclusivity that they don't actually uphold. mavn's actions have shown that, despite their claims, they do prioritize follower count over recognizing and nurturing the unique talents of creators of all sizes. My experience with mavn left me questioning their integrity and commitment to supporting creators, regardless of their follower count. I hope they reevaluate their policies to align with their advertised values and genuinely become a platform that welcomes and empowers creators at all stages of their journey. ### 1/5 — Application *2023-08-13* This app has discrimination and racism built right into it. I applied to be a part of mavn creators and I have a high engagement and a decently high following and got no response. I emailed them many times asking about the criteria for the application and the application status and they just ignored me. I had seen a lot of my influencer friends who had a lower engagement and followers get in no problem so I was confused about why I wasn’t getting any response. Then my other influencer friend whose account looks almost identical to mine but has just a bit less engagement and followers got in without an issue and she got a response from them. I never got a response from them so it looks like there’s a discrimination problem, and honestly it’s making me feel like this app is super racist because again there’s no reason to straight up ignore me even if they wanted to reject my application then all I wanted to know was why so I know what I need in order to be a part of mavn creators but they way they ignored ONLY me was extremely disrespectful.. ### 4/5 — Good app Support chat needs to be fixed *2023-11-29, version 2.08* Hi I love the app itself the only thing is that my follower count is wrong and I’ve contacted chat support they said I was going to be fixed but wasn’t.
