Basically all I can do here is view transactions, make payments, notifications when used. It does not have a General Settings option! So how do I know what version I have? How can I choose Automatic Updates? This is pretty useless! It’s much easier to use my Max Credit Union app and I can see and do all I need. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2024-03-01* Does not work as advertised. Cannot unlock card through the app as promised. Instead, I have to sit through a 30-45 minute phone call answering the same questions over and over just to get it unlocked. Absolutely disappointing for such a large banking firm to be lacking so heavily in quality-of-life features. ### 1/5 — Buggy *2023-10-05* App is currently experiencing technical difficulties. I am currently unable to log into my account to unlock my card, keep receiving an error message. ### 1/5 — The least reliable *2023-09-24* I’m considering switch banks at this point. The app is unreliable, and most of the time just unusable. Support is never helpful, they’ve never been able to tell me anything other than “just wait and try later”. Little concern for how it affects their clients. If I could give it 0 stars I would. ### 1/5 — It’s always down *2023-09-24* I don’t like this app. It stays down more than it works. There is always a issue with it! ### 1/5 — Horrible and buggy *2023-09-12* I’ve been stuck at a gas station trying to log in for thirty minutes to unlock my card to get gas. Half the time the app bugs out and closes or just plain doesn’t work. As I said I’ve been trying to unlock my card for thirty minutes because the app won’t even log in keeps saying there’s an issue on their end and when you call you can’t even speak to anyone it just hangs up on you. Do not use this app there are way better alternatives out there. Deleting it now hopefully I can use my card today. ### 1/5 — DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP! *2023-08-24* Unless you want to get me embarrassed while trying to pay and your card getting declined because the app won’t immediately unlock it, I highly suggest you do not use this app. Also, when you try to remove your card from the app, IT WONT! When you call, they say they can’t do it on their end, forcing you to be stuck with inconsistent access to your money because of their glitching app. When I unlock my card, I have to open and close the app at least three times before it stays unlocked. even then I have to wait several minutes before I can complete a transaction. I LOATHE THIS APP! ### 1/5 — RANDOMLY LOCKS MY CARD *2023-07-13* This app is terrible. I constantly have issues with it locking my card. Even when I go in to unlock it, moments later my transactions are denied because the card locked again. This is especially upsetting when in the checkout line at the store or trying to pay for gas😡. To make matters worse, I constantly get the error message, "It looks like there is an issue on our end. It's not your fault. Please try again in a little while" when trying to login into the app. I called customer service today to remove my card from the app and the rep was extremely rude. Once she stopped entering my names incorrectly and accessed my account, she guided me through a failed attempt to remove my card from the app. Instead of removing my card, the app kept opening my transactions list. This has been a nightmare! ### 3/5 — Ugh *2023-05-28* App is really buggy. Its not accurate when locking/unlocking card & I have not been able to access the app to unlock my card in the last 24hours ### 3/5 — definitely needs improvement *2023-05-24* i saw another review stating the need for push notifications along with it being in the original MAX app. i second that. i left my long time credit union for max as this was a local credit union as opposed to my last one from my home state. maxs technology is lacking. soon after opening the max account i spoke to someone about a few things: what is with everything being a separate app? my last bank had 1 single app. you could apply for loans/cards, check bank amounts, transactions, etc. they also had push notifications from that 1 app. not only transactions, also when direct deposits hit. please downsize to everything operating out of your main app. having 15 apps for my bank is annoying. add push notifications add notifications for when direct deposits hit. it’s really inconvenient to have to log in to see if my deposits hit. ## Frequently asked questions about MAX CardMgr ### How secure is MAX CardMgr?
