MaxIA is the personal finance manager with built-in artificial intelligence: log an expense in one tap (or just say it out loud), and the app does the rest. MAXIA PLUS The advanced features (AI assistant, Assets section, financial score, PDF import and export, automatic backup, extra themes and customisations) are grouped under MaxIA Plus and in this version are included for free for everyone. ## Version history (last 5 releases) ### 2.1.1 — 2026-08-26 The assistant answers again, in about a second. WHAT HAD HAPPENED When the Gemini model the app had picked was overloaded, MaxIA kept waiting for it instead of changing course: the chat loaded for a long time and then the on-device assistant replied, saying it could not connect. Now, if a model does not answer, MaxIA switches to the other one on its own. IT STARTS FROM THE FAST MODEL If you have never picked a model you now use Gemini Lite: it answers in about a second instead of five, and it allows twenty-five times as many requests per day. On entries and direct questions it says exactly the same things. Gemini Flash is still available under Profile → AI Connection, for deeper analysis when you are not in a hurry. FAR LESS WAITING At worst the assistant now takes twenty seconds instead of sixty before changing course. A healthy model answers in one or two seconds: past that it is not slow, it is not answering. REMAINING REQUESTS ARE COUNTED CORRECTLY Under AI Connection a single message could use up two, halving what was left for the day. Now one message is one request. Everything else from 2.1.0 is where you left it: automatic payments, the guides you can watch, multiple selection and the memory of your corrections. ### 2.1.0 — 2026-08-23 MonAI is now MaxIA. Same app, same icon, same data — only the name changes. PAY WITH YOUR PHONE, THE TRANSACTION WRITES ITSELF Connect Apple Pay once — the setup is guided step by step inside the app — and from then on every payment becomes a transaction with amount, merchant and category, without opening anything. No bank connection and no card details: everything stays on your phone. THE APP LEARNS FROM YOU Every time you correct a category, MaxIA remembers it: next time it gets it right on its own. It works on every transaction, not just imported ones, and now on income too. A GUIDE YOU WATCH To connect the assistant and to set up automatic payments there is a video that shows you where to tap, one step at a time, with a voice keeping pace. Pause it, drag it, speed it up — and if you leave the app to do the step, it picks up where you left off. SEVERAL TRANSACTIONS AT ONCE Press and hold a transaction, choose "Select", and one tap per row deletes them all together. THE ASSISTANT ANSWERS AS IT WRITES The answer appears one word at a time, and it can be selected and copied. At the top of the chat you choose who answers: your phone, which works with no network and no key, or Gemini. AND MORE • The end-of-month forecast now covers months already over • Accounts that pay interest write it down by themselves • Automatic backup on by default • Shorter, more consistent panels, and you type inside the preview • Spare change stays attached to the expense that generated it • The guide videos and screenshots now exist outside Italian too • Fixed the freezes that could happen opening and closing panels ### 2.0.0 — 2026-08-10 MonAI 2.0 — the biggest release since the app exists. 25 new features, 44 improved, 38 fixed. YOUR SECURITIES, LIKE A TRADING APP Every stock, ETF or crypto has its own page, with a real market chart: 1D, 1W, 1M, 1Y, MAX. Real prices converted to euros at the exchange rate of their own time, and hours when the market is closed take no width. Drag your finger along the line and the big figure at the top follows the chart, with the date below it. On the page: position, return, quantity — tappable and rewritten right there — savings plan, ISIN, exchange and trading currency. TRANSFERS BETWEEN YOUR ACCOUNTS Moving €100 from your current account to savings is not an expense: the money changes pocket. It is now a neutral entry, a single row saying from where to where. Balances move, but the transfer disappears from budget, score, forecast and charts. Already entered the pair by hand? Long-press one of the two and the app finds the other and merges them. SPARE CHANGE Every expense rounds up to the next euro and the change goes aside, into another account: a €10.20 expense puts €0.80 away. There is a multiplier from x1 to x10, and that money does not vanish — it changes pocket, and you can see it. A MUCH SHARPER ASSISTANT It knows what a security is worth right now, how much you moved between your accounts, how your stock did this month. It understands dictated transfers, dates, follow-up questions. It logs several transactions from a single message. And it works without an AI key too: in that case everything happens on your phone, and nothing you type leaves it. REDRAWN FROM SCRATCH 51 new illustrations: every category has its own hand-drawn scene instead of a line icon. Every panel reorganised into groups, with categories as tiles and the date as “Today · Yesterday · Another date”. The balance card on Home now sits on your last 30 days. On launch you see the shape of the page instead of a frozen logo. MORE CATEGORIES From 23 to 28 categories and from 63 to 166 subcategories. Income had 3 in total: now there are 35 — payslip, bonuses, severance, refunds, rent received. THE END-OF-MONTH FORECAST, REBUILT It is wrong almost half as often. A one-off purchase is no longer mistaken for a pace, and the app learns from your past months WHEN you spend. It also says how sure it is — “likely between X and Y” — and your budget is on the chart as a reference. It is there even at the start of the month now. THE FINANCIAL SCORE, RECALIBRATED It no longer judges those who earn little: comparisons with national averages apply only to spending that is a choice, and ending the month even is no longer called “you spend more than you earn”. BANK STATEMENT IMPORT CSV, Excel or PDF: MonAI works out which bank the file is from on its own, and the transactions go through a review screen before they land. Plus dozens of fixes: panels that jumped while you typed, expenses landing in the future, crypto showing as zero, amounts rounded where there was room for the cents. All on your phone. No account, no servers of ours. ### 1.1.0 — 2026-07-26 What's new in version 1.1.0: • APP IN ENGLISH — MonAI is now fully bilingual: interface, AI assistant, in-app guide, notifications and financial score. Amounts, dates, voice dictation and the default categories all follow the language too. Change it in Settings → Language; on first launch it follows your phone. Privacy and Terms are available in English as well. • THE AI ASKS "WHAT FOR?" — if you only type an amount ("I spent 100 euros") it no longer invents a generic name: it asks, and uses your reply as the transaction name.
