So why only three stars? – The enormous advertising banner is an unwelcome distraction. [Update: Just about coping with the banner whilst making a calculation, I do not want it to vanish without warning and be replaced by some irrelevant, full-screen advertising video. Deleted and demoted. Cleverly and beautifully designed. Now every single time you delete the tape and start with fresh numbers (which you do many times simultaneously when working things out with new numbers in your head) you get sent to a Google ad with lots of loud dialogue thrown at you, making you forget what you have to remember. You must sit through too much of this loud interruption before the tiny x allows you to close. Makes it impossible to work out complex things. My favorite feature is the “Vintage Paper Tape” feature. It keeps a running total as you input your numbers which is extremely helpful especially when you have a long list of numbers to add up. If you accidentally add a number twice or miss inputting numbers, you can see it on the tape right away and fix the problem.
