Having brought the bulb and downloaded the app I then found out that I had to change some WiFi setting to get started only to find that I had to put the bulb in a lamp so it could be next to the router to find it and then would not register to the cloud. This is by far the worst smart tech I’ve ever had the misfortune to purchase and think the package should read not very smart bulb needs a lot of attention. The old adage of you get what you pay for is bang on for this product

Will be sent back. The fact it wants you to change your settings on your router to make it work is insane. Yes I want less power on all my devices for a lightbulb.

Bought this from home bargains for about £8. Very easy to operate from my phone but also from my amazon alexa. Highly recommend!!

App works perfectly, no problems whatsoever. After the initial setup is done, when opening the app the bulbs are connected and can be adjusted instantly. User interface is very tidy and easy to navigate. I felt very inclined to leave this review due to the one star left by someone who isn’t following the instructions correctly bringing the rating down.          Not related to the app, but I hope the maxim smart range will grow to include more products in the future.
