## What is Maxmed?

Maxmed teaches the English that medicine is actually spoken and written in — for nurses, doctors, and students whose first language isn't English and who are preparing for OET, IELTS-medical, or the realities of an English-speaking ward.

Every card is built to a clinical standard: the word, its IPA pronunciation, the register it belongs to (formal, idiom, British English), a precise definition, and a real in-context sentence you'd actually hear on rounds or write in a referral. This isn't generic vocabulary — it's the language of the chest exam, of taking a history, of informed consent.
