Since your upgrade it wont recognise my diesel heater. I’ve deleted the app and now just use the remote and display panel to manually work it. ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2024-03-27, version 2.0.0* Couldn’t agree more, it was working fine before and simple to use now it’s unusable and over complicated, why ruin something. I tried reinstalling, restarting my phone, checking settings, and even tested it on a second iPhone with the same result. The remote app feature was the main reason I bought the generator, but it is unusable. I’m using iPhone 16 with latest updates installed. ### 1/5 — Does not work *2026-05-19, version 2.1.3* Does not work and crashes every single time ### 1/5 — Crashing *2026-05-19* App constantly crashes no matter what I do. Useless. It’s the entire reason I purchased this generator. Now I have an overpriced generator that won’t remote start. **Developer response:** We’re sorry for the inconvenience. We’ll make sure to clarify this in future updates and store descriptions to help users better understand the app’s purpose. ### 1/5 — Failed app *2025-07-15* Unable to register an account that is required for the app ### 1/5 — App did not recognize my generator. *2024-12-28, version 2.0.8* This app does not recognize my MXR4000 GT in my devices. Tried the app with 3 iPhones but did not work. Used Parking Electric app instead of MaxPeedingRods app and it worked great. ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work! *2024-12-22, version 2.0.7* As other users have stated the app will not allow you to add a device to your account. When you press to add a device it will ask you to login to your account even though you’re signed in already. Then after you login with correct details it will boot you out and onto the homepage again. This is so bad as apparently it used to work and the heaters are actually pretty good. Therefore, I’m very disappointed and would love this fixed…. If you’re looking to purchase a heater & control it via an app then I would advise you not to purchase this heater. Look forward to your response. ### 1/5 — More nonsense *2024-07-23, version 2.0.2* Despite being promised that the app will now work by the developer (see previous review and response) it still does not!!! I’d recommend avoiding maxspeedingrods now - shame as the heater and app used to work fine. For the record, my unit was under a year old, then their update made it obsolete with regards to controllability, Bluetooth and app use!!!! AVOID, very disappointing!!! ### 1/5 — Now completely unusable since update *2024-04-21, version 2.0.0* Was working fine until update and now cannot use it or connect to the heater. Get your app sorted ! Now! Pathetic. ## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Solid app *2025-02-28* Got this app for my MXR4000GT inverter generator and I have to say I’m impressed. The app holds well and doesn’t have any real connection issues that can’t be fixed with a restart of the app. I would like to see a little more resolution on the power output display. Low loads don’t show up at all. I had an under 100w load connected and it was reading 0. Not a big deal, very nitpicky. Once you put an actual load on it, the measurement is fairly accurate. One suggestion: On the control page the on/off button is positioned at the bottom left- where one might swipe up on the iPhone to switch apps. Too many times I’ve swiped up to switch apps and mistakenly turned off the heater. Then I have to wait for it to fully go through the shut down phase before I can turn it on again. My only complaint although very small is that every time I open the app, it always wants me to migrate my device from the old MXR app. Not sure how to fix that. You have to keep binding the heater on a regular basis. Annoying. The heater in winter won’t start you have to heat up the sensor then it will start.
