Consistently fails to connect properly and won’t allow user to carry out the most basic of functions. The reliability is terrible the app will not display anything I go in to the ip setup freezes. When called customer service they are aware of the apps failing and kept saying a new app is on its way. The app is very poor and does not open properly. The saving grace is that the Wi-Fi actually works but you can not change any settings like choosing which SIM to use or link to available Wi-Fi. App needs upgraded. I can only select which SIM to use by physically removing the SIM I don’t want to use. Also occasionally states I am using Ethernet (which I am not) and that the SIM is inactive but actually works OK. Terrible app. ### 1/5 — Ant *2024-05-19, version 1.1.8* Works after a fashion. This only happens when the correct admin password is used otherwise it says incorrect password. I’m able to access via browser to the IP address but disappointing as the app was pretty good before the current problem. A Maxview representative has been trying his hardest to help me fix it but to no avail. If I did have to change any settings luckily the teltonika RutOS app works fine. For the price Maxview sell these rebranded teltonika systems and advertise how great the app features are when purchasing the hardware, it’s a joke the app doesn’t work correctly ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2025-07-07, version 1.3.5* It was ok to set up, now the App cant see the SIM…. Dann gibt es auch 5 Sterne. ### 3/5 — Die app ist eine Katastrophe... *2022-07-07, version 1.1.2* Update 07.07.2022 Habe jetzt das Problem mit Hilfe vom Maxview und Teltonika team gelöst. Die Jungs haben sich echt ins Zeug gelegt. Allerdings das ganze direkt auf dem Router. Die app ist nach wie vor nicht brauchbar. Gut, brauchen tue ich sie nicht wirklich. Aber wenn sowas angeboten wird, sollte es auch gehen. Insbesondere da die Konfiguration am Router direkt echt nichts für Anfänger ist. ---------------------------- Die app ist schlichtweg eine Zumutung. Ewig Abbrüche zum Router, es dauert Elend lange bis eine Verbindung aufgebaut wird. Dazu kommt das mit dem update07.02. Auf dem Router es nur noch schlimmer würde. Keine Konfiguration über die App möglich. Auch die Einstellungen direkt am Router sind mit der neuen FW einfach nur grottig. Leider hilft hier auch der support nicht weiter. Versuche seit Tagen eine VPN Verbindung einzurichten, keine Chance. Support antwortet nicht mehr. Mit der alten FW lief alles. ### 3/5 — Workarround FW-Update *2022-03-09, version 1.1.0* Der MaxviewRoam ist unter der Haube ein Tektonika Rut240 (oder 241). Für die gibt es auf der Tektonika-Seite auch noch die alten FIrmware zum Download. Über die Weboberfläche (nicht die App) des Routers (idR 192.168.1.1) lässt sich diese aufspielen. Achtung: trotz Haken werden alle Einstellungen verloren gehen. Die MaxView App ist ganz ok. Sie bricht die unendlichen Konfig-Möglichkeiten dieser Industrie-Router (robuste Hardware) auf ein Consumer-freundlichrs Niveau herunter. Vielleicht etwas zu weit runter, darüber könnte man streiten. ### 2/5 — iPhone app update?? *2024-05-27, version 1.1.8* Is there going to an app update for the iPhone as I’ve rest my roam about 12 times and it doesn’t work on my phone but when I log in on my iPad it’s working fine. I’ve done the firmware update as well.
