The daily reward diamonds expire. The ad watch diamonds expire. You could, presumably, go and do a thousand surveys or buy a thousand sponsored items from their ‘earn free dia’ button but half of those surveys will require you to fill out several minutes worth of questions to determine if you’re the right candidate for the survey, then kick you out without a reward if you’re not. The stories were all good and fun. Firstly, the stories need better translation, especially if they were originally in Korean. Additionally, the story headlines for the books can be quite wild at times, such as "alpha male." While it's nice that you can write your own stories, it seems that there is not much activity on the app, as most comments are from three years ago. It's understandable that people have stopped using it. Another issue is that it can be challenging to create characters that resemble oneself, as the options are limited to either anime characters or provocative ones. Furthermore, when writing a story, you are only allowed to have three main characters, and it can be frustrating that you cannot change the outfits of the backup characters. When I logged in today it has gone down to 2?! My tickets went from over 250 to 2!!! Can you please restore my diamonds/tickets or refund my money? I have also never come across an app that has expiring diamonds and think this is a very odd choice for a paid feature… I mean I purchased the diamonds so they should not expire. The art and system is good however there are few chances to earn gems compared to some of the choices which require a ridiculous amount. I once had a 34 gem choice and struggles for 4 days to get enough gems only for an unsatisfying ending. Despite this the recent 20 choice passes are good however I hope that they can cover more stories as they all have a pretty similar plot. Over all I would recommend as it is definitely one of the better interactive story games. Hey love the game but please bring back the 20 free choices it is the only hope for Broke people. It’s not really fair. What’s the point of me logging in everyday just to get robbed. I saw many other complaints about this issue in the reviews as well so I’m wondering when it will be fixed and when I ,as well as the other players, will be getting our in game currency back. Because this is really disappointing especially considering that I saved up so much to be able to play my fav stories and all I can do is just watch my currency dwindle away. If this isn’t addressed I don’t see me and a lot of other players remaining on this app because what made this game great was of course the amazing stories and visuals but also the ability to get in game currency in a way that keeps people logging in and engaged. The earned or given currency was not distributed in a way that made it feel to easy, thus making the game play more enjoyable. But when in game currency becomes to hard to obtain or keep without spending good money, players become quickly disinterested and discouraged. Especially considering a lot of players are young or experiencing difficulties due the pandemic, making money tight or nonexistent. I really would love to keep enjoying this game so I hope this rating really explains what the players are feeling about this. I know that’s like a lot of things but it’d make the app 5000x better. I stopped using this app when my account was no longer accessible, yet they continued to take money for a subscription - they never fixed this and removed my review that explained what issues occurred (this NEVER should’ve been removed, as the problem was NEVER FIXED). The developers will not only rip you off, they’ll also make it so you have to RESTART EVERYTHING (as if you’ve never played and never paid for choices, clothing or anything else). As someone who’s been diagnosed with PTSD, I can say that the lack of customer service, everything relating (besides the stories) to this app, and how I’ve been treated is PTSD UNFRIENDLY! But what they had were amazing, beautifully drawn, engaging stories that honestly blew my mind and were super fun to reread. i spent as much as i could on diamonds packs every month and the VIP membership. Every month. i played every ad every day too. But they kept putting in ugly western style stories with realistic art and they never stopped. I'm so sick of it. i haven't bought anything in months waiting for a good anime style story again and they never added anything. I can no longer play this game bc absolutely nothing appeals to me. After the hundreds i spent hoping they would keep the same kind of content coming i'm nothing but disappointed. The most popular stories are obviously the anime style ones yet they keep putting trash in. and the older stories have so much alternate hair and clothes and these ugly ones barely have any extra outfits, especially for the love interests. Complete downgrade. If they go back to how they used to do things i'll happily fork over my money and time again. ### 1/5 — Loved it but they took my money *2022-04-19* I loved this app and several of the stories/books I’ve read so far! I loved the detailed ones the best as it brings what I’m reading “alive”! If you are a hardcore reader then you know what I mean. 😉 There wasn’t much I didn’t until they took my money and I didn’t get refunded my $25 nor did I get the two packages I paid for. The only reasons I couldn’t in good faith give 5* is 1) I bought 3 packages but didn’t get my tickets or diamonds. Apple refunded me $5 out of the $30 only because I got charged twice for the same package. It has been close to a month and still no refund/no package contents given. I am going to slowly read the rest of the few books are started using free stuff I earn then I plan to delete this app and find one that gives you what you pay for. 2)Sometimes there is up to a 1-2 week wait on the continuation of a book 3) It can at times get extremely expensive 4) The app randomly stops letting you collect diamonds even as a VIP 5)The app sometimes will randomly boot you out every time you try to open a book for up to an entire day 6)They need a few more ways to earn both tickets & diamonds 7) They need to work on fixing app bugs faster and making sure that when someone pays for something that they actually get it. So very disappointed in how this app is being managed!! I have been a member since May 2021. HOWEVER, the app stopped loading for me as of last Wednesday. It’s been over a week, and no matter how many times I restart the app, it keeps telling me to restart. I’ve tried clearing the cache and also uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, which means that I have probably lost ALL of my diamonds, story tickets, and story progress. The customer service has been extremely disappointing. I had sent them multiple emails throughout the week and only heard back once (basically telling me to do what I’ve already done). In addition, I even sent a video demonstrating what was happening and didn’t hear back! I would really appreciate a response from their support team. They don’t seem to respond unless it’s a review here. We appreciate your feedback and hope you stay with us as we improve the game! ### 1/5 — Don’t even bother downloading it! *2020-09-09, version 2.0.2* I will admit, the stories are some what “addicting” but there is plenty of reasons not to get this app, first of all, you WILL NOT get any good endings unless your willing to spend at least $100 in real cash on diamonds so that you can choose every ‘heart winning’ moment with the character your trying to get with, and not only that, choosing all the ‘correct’ answers isn’t gonna win you a good ending either... the gyst of it is, you have to max out the characters heart meter to 100% and to do that, you either replay the same story over and over until their heart meter maxes, (if you keep resetting the story the meter stays) or you buy all of the outfits available for that character, which (surprise, surprise) won’t get their meter to 100% so you’ll still have to replay the story, like, at least 10-20 times. And not only that, it takes like 6 hours to get 2 tickets! So it’s near impossible!! And Your ‘significant other’ will either leave you or die in the end if you don’t “choose your fate with them” 😤 I’d stick with Episode, or Moments. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ ### 1/5 — Annoyed to the max *2020-08-11, version 2.0.0* Diamonds are a huge issue! The story demands so many diamonds for one choice, even as much as 37 diamonds which is crazy considering how many choices there are in the game that demand diamonds. I wasted money buying diamonds that got used up within two choices, like seriously this game wants you to spend at least like $20-30 per story, that is absolutely ridiculous. Another issue I have with this game is when you don’t choose to spend diamonds you are left with only a bad option in the story and it makes you feel bad. For example, this one story wanted me to buy stupid ear headband thing for a character and when it wanted me to spend 37 diamonds to buy it I didn’t and I missed out on an opportunity in the story. And finally the only free way to earn diamonds is to watch ads, you only get one diamond per ad and have a limit of only five ads per day, it’s like the creators are giving us crumbs at this point, how are we supposed to do anything with 5 diamonds? Obviously they want us to spend ridiculous amounts on money to get a decent story, the greed is unreal! ### 1/5 — Horrendous customer service *2020-06-19* I recently submitted a request about one of the free Dia offers (ASPCA), when the rewards (420 Dias) never arrived. The request went straight to the company in partnership with Maybe, but they said they’re unable to send me the Dias for some reason, even though I showed them the proof of completion (receipts and the body of an email I got upon the completion of payment), cleared the cache and updated the app as they asked. They ended up telling me to contact the Maybe customer service, which just told me they can’t do anything about it, without doing anything at all. The Dias and tickets are quite expensive, sure, but I paid for deals and extra Dias because I think an app as good as this would take a lot of resources. But no willingness whatsoever to solve the simplest problem—giving the rewards for a monthly donation I made just as they promised—is another story completely. That is just absolutely obnoxious and unprofessional and even a breach of ‘contract’, to exaggerate. They probably designed a 5-star app, I’ll admit that much, but another thing as clear to me is that they have a zero-star customer service AT BEST. Or what’s worse, zero customer service. It’s so good; I love the protagonist and all the love interests!! It’s where I spend all my gems and specifically what I farm gems for. When I was super obsessed with Keeper of Mine I would literally do anything for gems just to buy pretty outfits for the characters. I have tried other story apps but none have had stories as well written as these. The only issue I have is that these stories are few and far between, have been waiting for another story on the same level for a while and still nothing new.
