Cannot figure out how so many passengers are injured or die if good landing made in rough weather. That needs explaining. Don't these passengers have seat belts . If you keep making decent approaches and stay somewhat within the parameters of the flight path and hit the landing and you still have injuries and deaths without explanation, what is the point of this game. All in all, it is challenging and fun except for a final score which makes no sense whatever. Then the view will self correct and ill be going straight again. Most boards are the same thing over and over. Has good graphics and feels realistic. Hate that the wind seems to be 60 miles an hour alot and the description of the board is wrong half the time! Sometimes it's hard to get control so maybe the developers should develop a system that allows better control of the plane since it's based on the iPhones physical movement. Other than that, I just wish they would make a few games for take-off from the airport, not just landing. Also, some in snow filled Russia or tiny islands in the Pacific would be fun to play! ### 4/5 — fun BUT frustrating *2013-08-13, version 1.0.5* I wish I could locate guides on how to handle each different type of situation. I would also like it to be a little more forgiving as I find it SOOOO hard to follow flight plan(and perhaps their are instructions somewhere that would be helpful in this regard). But I must say when I FINALLY get the plane landed I do feel a sense of accomplishment so I continue on. Oh and it would be nice to be able to go back and do training. NOW THAT I BEEN PLAYING AWHILE its fun and its ok that it's harder to get a great score - perhaps there should be different levels to give confidence. Would give it 4 1/2 if I knew how to. Also during the Lansing about 1/2 time it bleeps out goes to a different place and then flips back. Anyone else have this happen? ### 4/5 — Surprisingly fun *2013-07-23, version 1.0.4* This is actually a fun landing simulator. The controls are OK - and the scenery is decent too. Improvements could be made by adding: 1. A replay mode which shows your landing from a 3rd person view. It would be cool to see how you land the jets with some decent 3D models of the planes 2. The braking could be much better. I feel like when I land the plane it takes FOREVER to stop. 3. A top down view of the landing zone and your planes actual path through it would be cool. 4. Add some better sound and visual feedback when users fly through the circles perfectly. 5. Please add more variety in the terrain. It starts to feel repetitive after a while. Keep up the great work - it's a fun simulator. ### 5/5 — This is the best concept ever *2013-06-18, version 1.0.3* I've always had scenarios in my mind where I was a passenger on a jetliner and something happened to the pilots and they asked if anyone had experience with flying a plane and I would step up and fly the plane to safety and land it with the help of the tower. If you are a real pilot you'll notice that the speed indicator is groundspeed and not airspeed. One hint for glidepath control remember that you can yaw your aircraft by rotating your device to the left or to the right. Okay, it's not a flight simulator; however for a little price it's a lot of fun. ### 5/5 — Great *2013-09-08, version 1.0.6* Super cool simulator/game. This is a game, but close to the real idea. I've got over 5000 hours of heavy jet time. Catch a lot of flack, yeah the autopilot flies in cruise. But we actually do have to do ALL of these approaches and landing. So step up punk, lets see what you've got. It's all do-able on this game. If you can't do it, you don't got it. Tip to designers: initial approach speed is never more than 250, max speed below 10,000. Actual landing speed is gonna be around 145, even for the big jets. Reverse on landing shouldn't be a button. Instead, throttles are actually pulled back, or fully down, to the stops to reverse the engines. The bad wether scenarios are greet too, almost like the real. I have landed in rough weather my self. It's scary! I don't make a habit to chart flight plans in these conditions. Clear weather is the best. Sometimes it can not be helped. Great job on the developer. Thanks ### 5/5 — Fun!!! *2013-09-01, version 1.0.5.1* The "training" is incomplete, but you'll quickly figure out the sim on your own. As with a real aircraft, a light touch is essential. Most gamers and even pilots with only small aircraft experience will have to adjust to the inertia of a heavy aircraft. There's a very noticeable, and quite realistic, response lag following control inputs. Don't automatically follow the game's advice. The stewardess avatar is cute, but she's not a pilot! You'll do better relying on your own instinct and experience. ### 5/5 — Emergency Mayday *2013-08-13, version 1.0.5* Addicting game, hard to put down. Just when you think you've got it on the runway expect some last second adjustments. Would like to see an auto go around feature if you decide not to put it down. Water splash would be cool when ditching, probably take too much room tho.
