### 4/5 — It is working for me

*2026-06-20, version 4.6.2*

I have finally found something that fits my lifestyle and gives me results. I have lost 26 pounds and many inches since November and I'm walking an hour a day broken up into segments. I don't use the meal plan because I am more of a mix and match person who steams up three or four kinds of veggies and chops up a few salad veggies and then just makes dinner from what's in the fridge.
*Please consider creating an Apple Watch app/widget. I would love to be able to see how my food servings are going and how I am hitting my healthy habits during the day.
* Please remove the newly added pop-ups that tell me I have just added a food or an exercise. They are very intrusive and they don't accomplish a thing.

### 3/5 — Overwhelming and confusing

*2026-05-29, version 4.6.2*

Overwhelming and confusing the first two weeks Are so overwhelming because you’re inundated with videos And reading and planning and going through a menu swapping things and learning how to do this and how to do that with the app in the back-and-forth from the app in the website it’s just very frustrating and overwhelming, but I will say it is a very laid out and detailed plan. It allows some customization, but in my opinion, not enough. I feel like the whole entire app could use a more user-friendly. Makeover from recipes to tracking to learning. But still have some requirements to keep users from getting too far away from the plan and the diet

### 4/5 — Looking for a change?

*2026-04-19, version 4.5.10*

This diet is teaching me to eat real food again and to look away from too many highly processed foods! I had already been tracking and logging what I eat for many years looking mainly at total calories and fat grams per day. I was also looking for calories in and out per day. Many people will benefit from the psychology that comes with the diet, but I haven’t needed it yet since my motivation to continue is still strong. I will admit that I don’t like the constant trips to the grocery store to meet the meal requirements. I have now asked to eat the same for each meal for the entire week and that has helped. Overall I would highly recommend eating real foods and exercising on a daily basis and that’s what this diet promotes highly!

### 2/5 — Be ready to pay for 12 months regardless of whether you like the app

*2026-04-04, version 4.5.10*

DON’T sign up unless you are ready to commit to $20/month for an entire year. I don’t know much about the app, but I didn’t pay attention to the condition that once you signed up you’re locked in for a year.

### 4/5 — Mayo Clinic diet plan so far

*2025-12-10, version 4.4.2*

I find it to be the best healthy calorie reduced diet plan I’ve been on so far and I am 70 yrs old. I follow it almost to a T and have lost weight steadily without that hunger feeling before going to bed or getting in the morning But I have to say it could be more friendly user and interactive. I’ve followed the introductory instructions to learn to navigate the app … but I have to refer back to AI Google at times to find where and how to track food and activities

### 4/5 — It is working for me

*2025-11-26*

I have finally found something that fits my lifestyle and gives me results. I lost 3 1/2 pounds and 3 inches from my waist in the first two weeks and I'm walking an hour a day broken up into three segments. I don't use the meal plan because I am more of a mix and match person who steamed up three or four kinds of veggies and chops up a few salad veggies and then just makes dinner from what's in the fridge. Please consider creating an Apple Watch app/widget. I would love to be able to see how my food servings are going and how I am hitting my healthy habits during the day.

### 3/5 — Tough to maneuver

*2025-11-14, version 4.4.2*

I find this app a bit difficult to maneuver

### 5/5 — A little tough if you are just one person

*2025-11-09, version 4.4.2*

I bought a lot of groceries and annoyed my husband. I ended up swapping tons of meals just to use what was in the fridge to keep food from going to waste. The tracking and articles are amazing though! I love not counting calories. I would also recommend turning up the daily calorie count so that you aren’t super hungry all the time. Losing weight more slowly is way more fun and much easier on my marriage also!

### 3/5 — Leftovers!

*2025-11-06, version 4.4.2*

There is nothing more frustrating than a paid menu planning app that has 1/3 of their meals as leftovers!

### 5/5 — Suggestion

*2025-11-01, version 4.4.2*

There should be a way for you to pick what days you want your meal. For example, you pick a recipe to eat for breakfast on Sunday, then you should be able to pick how many days a week you want that recipe. Right now I have to pick every meal for every day and it’s time consuming.

### 5/5 — Exceptional program!

*2025-09-04, version 4.4.2*

Great program, great support, and great app to bring it all together.

### 5/5 — Best health advice

*2025-08-24, version 4.4.2*

This weight loss program has done wonders for my health and I love it. These Doctors and Nurses and all the professionals involved have given my health and mental state the boost to get back into shape. My diagnosis of type2 diabetes was not a surprise. I had been doing what was needed but fell off. Not now I log in everyday and read and follow the information given. I must say some of the recipes are the best. I eat more fish now and use more seasonings and sauces. My family loves that I stir fry healthy foods they can eat. Thank you so much. NEVER GIVE UP,GIVE OVER TO THE PROFESSIONALS AT MAYO CLINIC.

### 2/5 — Clunky

*2025-08-06, version 4.3.1*

App is very disjointed. It is not user friendly and a lot of content from the website is missing in the app. Also, the articles left much to be desired. Not what I was expecting from Mayo Clinic.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No Refund for non plant based meals & Thieves

*2026-06-18, version 4.6.2*

I joined thinking they have Plant Based meal plans for persons like me who do not want to eat meat and want to increase my protein levels via plant based recipes. Evidently there is a 3 day so called ‘cool off’ which I was not aware of. So now I am stuck with a program that has zero new menus and do not offer plant based meals. That’s $200 down the tubes because they will not reimburse! I do not recommend and I will not be renewing my subscription. Thieves!

### 1/5 — Questionable Integrity

*2026-06-16, version 4.6.2*

Most businesses will send an alert when subscription is up for renewal but not the Clinic Diet. No refunds issued because “it’s in the agreement.”
Not a fan.

### 1/5 — Watch their renewal setting

*2026-04-28, version 4.5.10*

Auto renewal kicks in but if you contact them anytime after the renewal auto bills they refuse to do a refund. I lost interest in the app and didn’t realize they had put me on auto renew. There was no renewal reminder email or anything. Once I saw the charge I reached out immediately. But no, they claim no refunds. Poor business practice.

### 1/5 — Totally ficking useless

*2026-02-27, version 4.5.10*

Even the user feedback is incredibly hard. They may be wonderful docs but they literally have no clue about user interface.

### 1/5 — Not worth the money

*2026-01-07, version 4.5.4*

App is clunky and difficult to make changes in the tracker. Too time consuming. Paid for a year and only used it for a week and no refund. Will be using My Net Diary which is more user friendly

### 1/5 — Probably Not for Me

*2025-08-07, version 4.3.1*

I think this structured approach doesn't work for me. I'm doing fine paying attention to total calories and every time I think "I should try the meal plan, I see things that I simply do not want to eat or take too much time. I'm going to try free styling when I can spend the time to figure that out.

### 1/5 — Inaccurate!

*2025-07-30, version 4.3.1*

I’m unable to edit my tracking for exercise

### 1/5 — Not very flexible.

*2025-07-18, version 4.3.1*

This app and program is not very flexible. It is pretty basic, reminds me of apps from the twenty years ago. It does not integrate into other wellness apps. The diet tracker is pretty basic and rigid. It is extremely hard to very content based on workout days, or RST days. No easy way to change your daily calories or protein intake based on your Mayo doctors recommendations. Cancellation policy is pretty brutal and only a 72-hour trial period.

Many better choices. I strongly recommend you look elsewhere.

### 1/5 — No menu plan

*2025-06-15, version 4.3.1*

It’s been three days and the menu plan is still coming up with an error message. Attempts for help result in curt advice on how to choose a plan. It is a technical problem not a user issue. Disgusted.

Update. 9 days in. Just read an email from the company which was conciliatory but offered no solution. And the links for further help were dead ends. Really?

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-06-04, version 4.3.1*

App doesn’t work - nor does desktop. Can’t complete setup of basic account/ demographic info - pages keep returning “an error has occurred.” Cant contact anyone for support (have to submit a form) - Terrible service. Cant cancel - receive error messages. I am using newest version iOS and 3 different web browsers (on desktop) and all have same issue. AWFUL!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — It works. Can YOU?

*2026-09-06, version 4.6.2*

I chose this plan because it is science and behavior based. ( Keep it Simple.)
The plan works extremely well if you follow it correctly. Learn early how to do swaps or just make good decisions. For me, tracking is important, as is daily accountability. I am so proud when the day is over and I have snacked healthy or not at all after dinner.
The best diet in the world is one sentence: “ We all know what junk food is. Don’t eat it.” Simple.
This journey teaches you how to make good decisions. AND LOSE WEIGHT.

### 5/5 — Eating Well

*2026-08-09, version 4.6.2*

I started this diet about a year ago. I wanted to eat healthier food, slowly lose weight, and keep it off - and have been able to do just that. I choose high protein, low carbohydrate meals that are simple to make or substitute if necessary. I’ve lost about 20 pounds even though I’ve taken several weeks off when traveling abroad. And I’ve learned how to eat a balanced diet that corresponds to my lifestyle, such that I haven’t gained any weight back even when I’m not following the meal plan.

### 5/5 — HELPFUL!

*2026-07-05, version 4.6.2*

this app has been a lifesaver for me! I have successfully because of no pressure account been able to begin the process of dropping the extra weight that I’ve gained. I love the simplicity and the ease of navigating through!

### 5/5 — Behavior Modification

*2026-07-02, version 4.6.2*

Easy to use Tech. User/ Me must have commitment and patience. Behavior change is a process that over time becomes new healthier HABITS ! I believe the program is five star but I have to earn the next stars.

### 5/5 — Life changing

*2026-06-25, version 4.6.2*

So glad found this wish it was a lot sooner . Something that actually works for long term sets you up so you can lose weight and keep it off . See results so makes you want to follow the plan. I feel healthier and happier thank you so much you make it possible❤️

### 5/5 — Slow and steady

*2026-05-05, version 4.5.10*

This app is great for tracking and finding healthy recipes. It is working! I am finding if I follow my plan, even changing it up if I decide I want to eat something different, and include moderate exercise- nothing crazy, I am consistently losing weight, with slight fluctuations up then down. Staying the course, following the plan, add in different forms of exercise so I don’t get bored, and keeping up with record keeping. I’m doing this!

### 5/5 — Amazing weight loss plan

*2026-04-03, version 4.5.10*

My doctor recommended I go on the Mediterranean diet for weight loss, health and wellness. In searching for a platform to help me, I came across Mayo Clinic diet. It has a menu plan with great recipes. Easy to track food and exercise and work on good habits. Excellent resources. If you’re looking to start the plan, be sure to read all the guides.

### 5/5 — Slow and sure

*2026-01-18, version 4.5.5*

A steady way to eat, not a diet. Am very pleased with the app and tracking. Just a bit of accountability that I need.

### 5/5 — A Realistic Diet for a healthy life.

*2026-01-16, version 4.5.4*

The Mayo Diet covers most if not all the challenges many people face in daily life. The ups and downs of social and stress eating included. Keeping food groups balanced for healthy eating is a big key.

### 5/5 — Live-able way to eat

*2025-11-15, version 4.4.2*

Great weight loss plan! Tracker is easy to use, meal plans offer variety and good recipes, love that it doesn’t leave out food groups but teaches you how to balance your meals. So nice to have options for real toast, how to incorporate whole grains and make better choices. Really helped reduce my cravings and not overeating. Long term plan for sure.
