### 2/5 — Lack Luster

*2026-08-07, version 14.8*

This app is pretty awful. Crashes, not intuitive, and is down for updates weekly.
Want to get records to download for a provider outside Mayo Clinic? Good luck. It’s buried and when you do ask it to download one appointments records (I.e. labs) it will save a 200+ page “summary” that includes face sheets and your entire chart.
Oh you want to make changes to your communication preferences? That’s 4 clicks to get to a list of sub menus. Then each sub menu has an expand of more sub menus. This would be easily fixed by giving the ability to expand at a top level.
Mayo Clinic is ranked #1 but their app designers aren’t held to the same standard it seems.

### 3/5 — Appointment Alerts Not Working

*2026-08-06, version 14.8*

This is a good app.

However, it does not notify when an appointment has been added, changed or removed. The settings are all turned on, but the notifications are not being received by email, text or push.

### 3/5 — Needs Improvement

*2026-08-04, version 14.8*

Cannot schedule appointments with App. Negates from app functionality.

### 3/5 — Turning off earlier appointments notifications

*2026-04-25, version 14.5*

Turning off earlier appointments notifications is not readily apparent even though it says that it is!

### 4/5 — It’s a solid app - but…

*2026-04-20, version 14.5*

I don’t know where to report bugs.

I used the app to get a detailed bill and it was very fast! However, the message told me to find the report in “statements and letters” (I’m unsure about the statements part - but sure about letters. )

And I cannot find where the report ended up.

There are some other confusing aspects of the interface. I do not send many medical messages, but 3 of them were left in draft mode after I tapped send. I will now wait a longer time before leaving the send screen .. even though I’m not rushing through the process.

### 2/5 — Frequent app updates, that then requires password again

*2026-03-17, version 14.4*

Every time the app is updated (which is frequently), I have to put in my login and password again, instead of using the Face ID that I had already configured from the previous version. It’s inconvenient and annoying.

### 1/5 — Inoperable

*2026-03-15, version 14.4*

Nothing works. I can’t get pages to load, everything comes up with an error, despite deleting and reloading several times.

### 3/5 — Buggy experience

*2026-03-10, version 14.4*

Please fix some of these bugs with this app, random notifications to nothing, marked read messages becoming unread, and phantom estimates. This makes managing care for several accounts difficult.

### 4/5 — I use this app often

*2026-02-22, version 14.3*

I have had this app for a few years know. I started using it after my brain bleed & hospital stay. Today it has been useful keeping track of appointments & messaging my doctors if I have questions. Another nice feature is being able to see test results. I recommend this app to friends who use Mayo.

### 4/5 — List of Pending Test Results

*2026-02-21, version 14.3*

The app is fantastic, including the ability to access test results as soon as they are available. However, I really would like to know what other testing was ordered with pending results!!! Not only does that information help to prevent over-interpretation of available test results, it will let me know when everything is in, so I can stop checking.

### 1/5 — Login issues on Iphone

*2026-02-14, version 14.3*

Unable to login with latest app update.

### 1/5 — Total rip-off and scam!!!

*2026-02-10, version 14.3*

If I could give 5 negative stars I would.

Several months ago, I signed up for the Mayo Clinic Diet and got the app. When I found that their diet was totally unsuitable for me, I asked for a refund, and they refused. I cancelled my “membership”, deleted the app and hoped never to hear from them again. Now today I get an eMail thanking me for paying $19.07, which was apparently charged to a credit card or service like PayPal, without even having the courtesy to inform me as to what card or service this was done through. When I tried to access my “account” to make sure I didn’t have any active “memberships” or “subscriptions”, I was unable to do so. I sent request for a password reset, but haven’t received a response. I tried calling their number but all I get is a busy signal.

I tried to lodge a complaint, but everything apparently has to go through “social media” which I don't use, so you can’t even lodge a complaint online. I finally got an eMail address, so I forwarded the eMail with the charge to them. I don’t expect they will refund my money, given my previous experience with them. I went to the BBB, but they are not BBB accredited — wonder why.

I want to end this, get my $19.07 back, have all “subscriptions”, “memberships” and any and all recurring or non-recurring charges from them cancelled, and I never want to hear from them again except to inform me that the above cancellations have been done. In the meantime, I’m warning everyone I can that this is a total rip-off and a scam!!

### 2/5 — Can’t schedule appointments

*2026-02-10, version 14.3*

This app has gone downhill, I use to be able to schedule appointments in the app. But now if I want to make an appointment I have to request one or call. Such an inconvenience!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t replace much needed staff

*2026-02-09, version 14.3*

NOT an acceptable substitute for all of the staff eliminated in the health system. Difficult to navigate. Ambiguous commands.

### 3/5 — Not easy to find what you are looking for

*2026-02-09, version 14.3*

This app used to be easy to use. It seems that it has been made prettier (maybe) but not easier. I’d rather have easier. I feel like I have to keep starting over.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Needs to be better

*2026-08-31, version 14.9*

I hate to knock on somebody’s work, but this might be the worst app for any medical facility that I’ve ever used. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone through a scheduling of an appointment and after a good five or six screens, it pops up oh, you can’t do that from the app. if you can’t schedule every appointment from the application, it is useless. And don’t get me started about your messaging system through the app. I think at this point you’re better off cutting your losses and just pay for a service like my chart.

### 1/5 — I phone not new enough

*2026-08-13, version 10.4*

My I phone is not new enough therefore I get stuck in a loop to upgrade my app. Worthless unless I buy a new phone.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2026-08-07, version 14.8*

Signs in but nothing loads.

### 1/5 — “Full Access”

*2026-07-21, version 14.8*

Why on earth does the app suddenly need full calendar access to add appointments? Add events only is all the permission the app has ever had and all anyone should be comfortable providing. It is a wild invasion of privacy to require full access.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2026-07-14, version 14.7*

I can login but no features work once I login. I’ve tried deleting and redownloading. Nothing fixes it. I hope they update the app soon.

### 1/5 — stop this double authentication nonsense!

*2026-06-10, version 14.7*

if you want to send me a message send it by email. Don't make me log into the portal and especially don't make me use double authentication when I log into the portal. This whole system is a complete waste of time.

### 1/5 — “Connectivity Problem”

*2026-05-16, version 14.6*

Made an account and can’t even log in because there’s always a “connectivity problem”. I have strong internet and data so that shouldn’t be an issue. Garbage app.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-05-08, version 14.5*

App will not load.

### 1/5 — Danger to motion sensitive people!!

*2026-04-30, version 14.5*

I now have to go to the website because I cannot change the motion and my iPhone options are already changed to be reduced, but the app now has its own demons

### 1/5 — Robert Myers 52349

*2026-04-08, version 14.4*

Horrible communication
You should be ashamed of yourself

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best I’ve Used

*2026-05-07, version 14.5*

From an administrative perspective, Mayo really nails it. This is what a patient portal is supposed to do.

The app make it easy to access all the information you need as a patient: appointments, pre-checkin, messages, prescriptions, etc.

The screen layouts are simple and easy to read as well, which makes the overall user experience less stressful — no searching around for what you need.

Of course, none of this would matter if the Mayo staff weren’t responsive and highly professional; fortunately they are.

### 5/5 — Dave Goldberg

*2026-02-09, version 14.3*

The doctors and nurses have all been upbeat, have given me competence in the treatment I’m receiving, and I’ve given me hope that this will be cleared up and I will go on for several more years, enjoying life and my grandchildren. The staff is the most incredibly. positive all the time giving me the confidence I need to face this situation.

### 5/5 — App Download speed

*2026-02-03, version 14.2*

Slow download. Sitting in the Mayo Clinic parked no lot in Phoenix. 14 minutes per download of app.

### 5/5 — test

### 5/5 — This App and access to Mayo is A+

*2025-11-14, version 14.0*

I have been using the App and Portal for years and I find it reliable, accurate and informative. I cannot imagine going back to days of phone calls and paper. Well done Mayo! I rarely have technical issues with it and when there are delays or lack of response I find that is my devices. Restarting the device always solves the problem.

### 5/5 — Thank you, Mayo

*2025-11-09, version 14.0*

It is wonderful to be able to communicate through this Mayo app. I love it, even with its’ growing pains!

### 5/5 — Best surgeon

*2025-08-09, version 13.8*

Dr Fox is the best

### 5/5 — Staff

*2025-03-28, version 13.4*

My husband and I both have and are being cared for by the marvelous Mayo doctors, nurses, technicians, schedulers, assistants, and on and on. Today I met nurse Katie Hoffman prior to scan. The bar for staff is high and Katie surpassed it with her warmth, thoughtfulness, and genuine interest in my path to the other side of my cancer journey. To all the wonderful people who are making this scary, dreary disease a little bit more tolerable, a big thank you, and an extra hug for Katie.

### 5/5 — Phenomenal App 03/07/25

*2025-03-08, version 13.3*

As a newly diagnosed oncology patient, I’ll say all the negative reviews are unwarranted. This app has worked flawlessly. I’ve had zero issues. It does everything it’s supposed to do. If in the past is had issues, Mayo Clinic listened and fixed it.

### 5/5 — test
