## What is Maythorn?

Most garden apps guess your last frost from a map. Maythorn reads it from a weather station,
and tells you which one.

Set your garden's location and Maythorn finds the nearest national weather station with 30
years of daily records. You get the median last spring frost, the one-in-ten-year late frost
that careful gardeners plan against, and the first night warm enough for tomatoes and beans.
Every date carries its source: the station's name and how far it sits from your garden.

Where a country's records are not open for this, Maythorn says so. It will not show you a
date it cannot stand behind.

THE FROST WINDOW
• The median and the one-in-ten-year last frost, plus the warm-nights date, for each garden.
• Station name and distance stay on screen, so you can judge the number yourself.
• A coast station and an inland one can sit seven weeks apart. That gap is the point.

SOW AND PLANT NOW
• A month view of what is safe to start this week, crop by crop, from your station's dates
  rather than a national average.
• The home screen carries the same answer in one line.

SEASON JOURNAL
• Sowed, potted on, planted out, harvested. Dates and notes, per bed or per plant.
• The notebook you already keep, in a form that survives the winter and the phone.
