### 4/5 — Scary good fun

*2025-07-12, version 1.1.2*

Gotta admit, had a few jumps. Fun game with inventive hops. Not a puzzle fan, but I did try all of them, which I rarely do. Happy to see the Maze series back in mobile land. Mad Head has some of the best titles and their partnership with Friendly Fox is yielding great results. Maze 360 remains my favorite, I admit it’s that creepy biting doll, but this one has a lot to offer in the gross out department, not least of which those gooey black grabby strings in the ceiling and walls and … well, all over. Nicely done!

### 5/5 — Maze 5: Sinister Play by LynxMinx

If you enjoyed the last Maze, you are really going to love this one. You believe you are taking a fun jaunt with your friends when something strange occurs and you are taken hostage by some weird and other-worldly children. They devise odd challenges for you, but it’s their way of playing! This game has some very dark twists and turns, and you don’t know how it’s going to turn out. But you have one goal in mind, to escape from those kids. The game had some terrific puzzles and interesting tasks. I won’t do anything more to spoil this eerie adventure. Just purchase, play and be prepared to tackle the unexpected! Mad Head was the master of horror, and we must thank Friendly Fox for keeping their legacy alive!
Note to magoomac: you can keep your snide remarks about my issues with touchscreen sensitivity to yourself! There was no use discussing it, because Friendly Fox, via my assistance, brokered a deal with Nenad Tomic (the former CEO of Mad Head)and bought their HO games. Friendly Fox is the distributor, NOT the developer of those particular games, and cannot do anything about the touchscreen sensitivity as they can with their own games. So keep your comments to yourself. If not for me, after BigFish left, there would be no games at all had I not worked like a dog to keep our genre alive!
Touchscreen sensitivity is an important topic, because it affects the gamers’ overall experience, and I would be remiss not to mention it. If you want to complain about something, go write to Domini and ask them why they are not releasing the EIPIX games they promised to us (also a deal I brokered!) Those games were better than Oleg’s games any day of the week.

**Developer response:** Knowing that our efforts make a difference keeps us inspired—thank you! 💖

### 4/5 — Sinister Play

*2025-07-06, version 1.1.2*

Interesting play & story line. It might just be a little too « sinister » for my tastes! I’ve said this before in some of my reviews but appreciate that hints are unlimited.

Enjoyable game, somewhat short. Notable that reviewers with historical “touchscreen sensitivity” sensitivities didn’t mention it for this game.

### 5/5 — Sinister Play by MadHead

*2025-06-28, version 1.1.2*

Another fabulous game from our favorite developer. This is a MadHead game with the usual quirky use of techniques. Only downside is that the collection items were sometimes difficult to find due to dark backgrounds. But overall a solid offering. I recommend buying this game if you enjoy challenges and eerie landscapes.

### 5/5 — Maze: Sinister Play

*2025-06-25, version 1.1.2*

I enjoyed these games. I do not enjoy a lot of hop games. I like less hop games. Only problem I had I had to tap on items. I would tap on the items it had to go to multiple items which was frustrating. But I enjoyed the game especially the ending with the guys I did not see that coming. I can not wait for the next one. ### 5/5 — Scary Book Advebture

*2025-06-24, version 1.1.1*

Hi Developers!
I just want to say that this has been one of the Best Hidden Object/Mystery games in a long time.

The story line was great with all three characters. The graphics were excellent! The HOPS were full of fun and lengthy.
I didn’t want it to end.
The bonus game was really good and followed the main game.

Whatever you and MADHEAD games are doing, you are raising the bar for all the other developers out there.

Keep these coming please.
Thank you for all your hard work.

Sincerely,
A fan of HO GAMES

### 5/5 — A”Maze”ing Storytelling With Sinister Playing!

*2025-06-22, version 1.1.0*

You’re having a leisurely day, hanging out with your two friends, until you all wind up kidnapped by an evil twin duo—I get a “Children of the Damned” meets “The Shining” vibe, here. The three of you are forced to endure each other’s distinct nightmarish reality in which you will need to overcome your anxieties and put your critical thinking skills to the test to outwit the deadly duo and make it out alive. I like playing from the perspective of multiple characters within each chilling subplot; the characters appear raw, evincing true-to-life emotion. This series effectively evokes feelings of anticipation and a fear of the unknown. The eerie background noises and macabre imageries, which are disturbing enough to send chills up my spine, add layers of suspense and unease to the environment. Watch out for those creepy-crawling dolls as well as the ghostly apparitions suddenly jumping out at you. The hidden object scenes are creatively rendered and diversified. Because the visuals are somewhat dark, the camouflaged objects are hard to find at times. The entertaining puzzles will suit your objectives; the difficulty levels are configurable between easy and hard. The collectibles are inconspicuously placed, making it a challenge to find them in some scenes. This is one gritty, not-for-the-faint-hearted game. I recommend fully digesting your meal before playing this one. But, me—I’m loving it!

### 1/5 — Terrible function

*2026-02-27, version 1.1.6*

I wish I could give this app zero stars. It worked completely fine until I purchased it for seven dollars mind you which is a bit much for this app. It’s pretty fast gameplay an issue that I’m having with this app is in a hidden object area no matter what I do it doesn’t want to acknowledge that I’m selecting things that I’m moving things to the right area. I’ll even use the clue finder and it will tell me what to do and I’ll be dumbfounded because that’s exactly what I’ve been doing like right now. I’m at the chain hidden object and there’s a hammer that I need to bring by some nails. I have moved that hammer all over the place around those nails and it does nothing yet the clue finder tells me I need to bring the hammer over to the nails. This game should never have been released with glitches like this. They need to fix the glitches because it’s honestly ridiculous or give people refunds for their money back.

### 1/5 — Very glitchy

*2026-01-19, version 1.1.4*

Puzzles don’t work forcing you to skip them

### 1/5 — Not free, pay to unlock

*2025-07-30, version 1.1.2*

Not interesting enough to pay for this.

### 1/5 — Liz

*2025-06-27, version 1.1.2*

The most frustrating game. Too much stuff going on at the same time , hardly any hidden objects.

### 1/5 — Good but bad

*2025-06-23, version 1.1.0*

Good game but there is a problem in the bonus game where you cannot pick the ice cream van handle in the tree house?

### 1/5 — Feels really old

*2025-06-22, version 1.1.0*

Also dark and creepy

### 3/5 — Good enough

*2025-09-13, version 1.1.3*

A good enough game, but not worth the £6.99 asked. For £3.99 I would have bought to continue.

### 3/5 — Great then not

*2025-08-11, version 1.1.2*

I love the game, it’s spooky and fun but just when you get to a good part you all of a sudden need to purchase the game. £6.99 is a lot when the game isn’t very long. Such a shame.

### 4/5 — Good Game

*2025-12-15, version 1.1.4*

Loved the plot and the spooky plot twists. The only issue I had was some of the morphing objects you could collect were very difficult to find

### 4/5 — Older IPad?

*2025-07-27, version 1.1.2*

Great game as usual

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fantastic game!

*2025-09-10, version 1.1.3*

It seems like it’s been awhile since there was one of these games that I truly loved. The game went fast because I played it every chance I had. The story was entertaining while creepy and ghoulish. And I loved the games even if they did stress me out. All good fun

### 5/5 — Loved it

*2025-08-22, version 1.1.3*

### 5/5 — Great game

*2025-08-19, version 1.1.2*

Entertaining, great game. I play a lot of these games and this, was truly enjoyable. Terrific graphics, the hidden object puzzles were absolutely wonderful..challenging and new ..
A note to Lynxminx..thank you for being here, your professional expertise shines through in your reviews. I search out your reviews and have learned by now that if you had a positive experience playing a game, i skip the free trial and purchase outright.

### 5/5 — Very nice game but it felt shorter then other games

*2025-08-06, version 1.1.2*

Really good game its quite spooky and gruesome at times plus the sound effects are nerve tingling my only gripe is the scenes are so dark its impossible for me to see and find the collectibles so I end up aimlessly clicking anywhere but apart from that I enjoyed playing it

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-08-05, version 1.1.2*

I’ve been a player for years and love your games. Each one is an enjoyable experience. Keep them coming please😊

The game had some terrific puzzles and interesting tasks. The collectibles were cleverly hidden and HO scenes were quite difficult. I won’t do anything more to spoil this eerie adventure.
