My need:  I’m going to close a six year old Gmail account with 12,000 messages organized with an extensive folder hierarchy.  After I close the account, I need to be sure I can find any message if necessary in the future.   My requirements:  an App that stores nothing on Gmail or any other server, respects my folder organization, and provides effective search.  I looked at several in the MacOS App Store.  Only MBox Reader from Rush Tools delivered what I’m looking for with an intuitive UI and good performance.  The developer is responsive to feature suggestions.

I was desperate to take some massive downloads of emails and attachments from historical accounts.  MBOX Reader made it so easy for me to view the files in the downloads, and then, to put them in a format that would be most useful.  Time saver and life saver for me!
