It makes lots of mistakes and can be really frustrating when you don’t know if you actually got a question wrong, or the AI did. I just want to cancel my subscription and I can’t. SOS!!!!! ### 4/5 — Fun Study Alternative *2025-07-18, version 1.8.7* I mostly just use this as a last resort, and do the multiplayer. When i cant focus or study it is like trivia crack but for the MCAT. Very helpful, but the interface can be a little confusing. Overall very fun to use though. ### 1/5 — Not Worth It *2025-07-17, version 1.8.7* I purchased the premium version, the fact it does not let you utilize it on bigger devices such as my laptop is already a problem. The main issue is that when you get a question wrong it does not then tell you what the right answer is with an explanation to why it is correct. It is all over the place with hardly structure for each subject. It would help to also have test questions in AAMC format for each subject that you can hone in on, and then at the end give you tips to improve or concepts to focus on. This is clearly an app that was created heavily through the use of AI. If the promos weren’t as prevalent, I’d be much more willing to buy the premium version after experiencing the default. A lot of useless information. This has been something that has been the least useful out of all the resources I’ve used. I tried asking other questions still doesn’t work. I tried uninstalling and installing it back still same problem. It also doesn’t offer many useful courses :( The app sounded much more like it would have installed topics for you to review and learn but it’s much more of a make your own flash cards kinda app. It’s also just difficult to navigate :( ### 1/5 — Robbed *2026-01-07, version 1.9.0* I canceled my membership (didn’t purchase in the first place), they offered a sale I took it. The have been charging me $20 every month without any account. Tried canceling it several times. It’s a scam and I repeat that! It’s a scammm! ### 1/5 — I’m disappointed *2025-09-11, version 1.8.8* I tried out the three month subscription at a premium level, and when I opened the study resource videos, I was unable to access them. They were all covered with a sticker titled “premium users only,” and would take me to the page asking for me to upgrade the subscription. I was excited to use this app, so this is extremely disappointing. I tried to login online and each login was rejected because, according to google, the developer was blocked or something like this. Even after leaving the app and re-entering it multiple times, closing the window and reopening it, this issue has been persisting. I’m genuinely at a loss because this was the sole resource I had invested in. Terribly disappointing. ### 1/5 — Terrible First Impression *2025-08-01, version 1.8.8* Downloaded the app, was hit with the biochemistry question of the day. The answer was wrong!! Upon reading the explanation they even state the answer deemed “correct” in green was wrong. I will be deleting the app now. Thanks. ### 1/5 — Liars *2025-07-22, version 1.8.7* I would love to give a better review, but it seems the creators are liars. I attempted to upgrade my subscription with 70% off from the wheel twice, and both times the site attempted to charge me twice as much!! I initially had trouble with contacting the team but finally found the right email (linked to their instagram account) I got an email back very quickly. Jay helped me out significantly and worked overtime to ensure I got my money back. KOTC helped me through two MCATs and was a wonderful resource. I have recommended it to several friends who are preparing for the MCAT as well! ### 5/5 — Great app! *2025-08-27, version 1.8.8* I started using this to study for the MCAT a couple years ago and recently bought a subscription to help study. It’s super useful for on the go studying and can be paired with Khan academy or Kaplan really easily for dual studying. I originally ran into some problems with my subscription but the customer service was great and resolved it immediately! I’d recommend this app to my friends and other students because you can really tell it was made for actual students trying to learn. ### 5/5 — Great MCAT Prep tool *2025-05-09, version 1.8.4* There are so many great and helpful tools on KOTC, even the question of the day is a great reminder to stay consistent. The KOTC team is always updating the app and improving/responsive to feedback. KOTC also is a great way to learn new content and keep consistent with review through all the various different games/learning tools.
