### 2/5 — Paywall

*2025-11-01, version 1.4.288*

It seems like an absolutely amazing study tool, but the entire thing is locked behind a premium membership.

### 2/5 — Only subscription

*2025-09-16, version 1.4.288*

You literally cannot use this app unless you have a subscription.

### 2/5 — The app isn’t working

*2025-07-08, version 1.4.288*

It looks promising. I am looking for additional study material for my MCAT in 28 days, BUT app isn’t working 🙃. I am trying to to purchase a subscription and the app shuts down when I try to sooo….. 👎

### 2/5 — everything requires the premium subscription

*2023-12-18, version 1.4.286*

i just downloaded the app to get some structured studying in over winter break… it SEEMS like the app would be useful, and i wouldn’t mind paying the subscription to use it closer to my test date, as $20/month or $70/year isn’t insane, but it’s pretty misleading to present as a free study tool when everything is locked until you pay.

### 5/5 — Great videos

*2023-09-10, version 1.4.286*

The videos included in the premium package are really easy to follow along with - the instructor is good and knows their stuff. It’s a little surface level in terms of what you need to know, but it’s a generally good overview. It should be paired with book learning and other resources.

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2023-08-23, version 1.4.285*

More students should use this instead of paying thousands for the online prep courses. It’s extremely affordable and the other prep services available are amazing too!

### 5/5 — Love it

*2023-08-02, version 1.4.285*

Love it

### 5/5 — Great resource

*2023-07-09, version 1.4.284*

Includes videos, notes, flash cards, and quizzes to learn, review, and test my learning progress. It also sorts quizzes and topics under each video, by topic, or by the users confidence. Best app that I’ve used so far for MCAT preparation.

### 2/5 — Not worth the cost

*2023-06-06, version 1.4.283*

I got this app because it boasted a large question bank, and there is. But it is riddled with spelling errors, references images that do not appear anywhere, and no way to flag or report errored questions. Any of the videos they offer can be found free on YouTube from other sources, so yea you’re paying for practice questions. It’s $20 per month or $60 per year. If you need to cram a month or 2 before test day this might be worth it, but get ready for frustration and a hit to your question confidence.

### 5/5 — Super good app for the MCAT

*2023-05-29, version 1.4.282*

This app is a lifesaver. Highly recommend it if you have the MCAT soon and didn’t have a lot of time to prepare, you can use this app to study months of content in a matter of weeks if you put in the time.

My only complaint would be there isn’t a way that I can tell to report errors. E.g. there is a chemistry question in the app that says “this molecule” but no picture is given so answering the question accurately is pretty much impossible, or another example would be the teacher makes an error saying sodium is [He] 2s1 but it should’ve been [Ne] 3s1. There’s no way to really give this feedback that I can tell so these errors may persist and confuse other students.

Outside of some minor errors like that which are basically just typos, the app is robust in effective for studying and is helping me review and learn a lot for my MCAT coming up.

### 5/5 — Awesome video lessons

*2023-03-04, version 1.4.280*

I like the video lessons, they help me to study and review concepts faster than just reading. And the explanations are so good and to the point, I can understand everything.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Opening Issue

*2026-01-02, version 1.4.288*

Bought the app and when I open it it just sends me to a different website website. Unresponsive.

### 1/5 — Paywall Galore

*2025-07-29, version 1.4.288*

Cannot do anything on this app without paying for premium. No practice questions, no flash cards, no lectures. Confused by free download just make people pay from start.

### 1/5 — Fake free app

*2025-04-08, version 1.4.288*

I know it doesn’t explicitly state that the app is free but when you first log in, it asks if you want to use their “premium” subscription. If you don’t go “premium” and stay as “basic”/ free, then you can’t use any part of the app

### 1/5 — It appears nothing in this app is free

*2024-05-28, version 1.4.286*

I thought only some functionality would be limited by not having premium, but it appears that nothing is available without premium. I downloaded this app after seeing an ad online for it, which stated “start learning for free”. Talk about false advertisement.

### 1/5 — Cannot get in

*2023-12-23, version 1.4.286*

After I selected the exam date, the things get just loading and I cannot get in.

### 1/5 — False Advertising

*2023-12-19, version 1.4.286*

This is not a free app as it’s advertised. You literally can’t do anything within the app unless you pay 70$ per year. If it was advertised as that, I wouldn’t have an issue, that’s a pretty reasonable price for MCAT prep. But it’s advertised as free which is annoying and makes me want to spend my money elsewhere.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2023-09-22, version 1.4.286*

I clicked free trial and was immediately sent a bill for $27.10

### 1/5 — Love but now I have to pay?

*2023-04-06, version 1.4.281*

Like the title. Got started and it had some good videos, loved the question of the day. Now it’s all pay for it.

### 1/5 — Decent when free, but not worth it paid.

*2023-02-18, version 1.4.279*

They decided to go the paid model, which I don’t mind. But I honestly wouldn’t pay for this stuff. There are so many MCAT prep course options that this one isn’t worth it. It was okayish when it was free, with the only thing of value being the videos. Since the questions weren’t good and it was always comprehension, lacking prompts and critical thinking, errors and no passages at all, which is 80% of MCAT. Overall pretty disappoint it went the paid model, but I rarely used it when it was free in the first place.

### 1/5 — Well…

*2023-01-09, version 1.4.278*

Honestly I loved when it was free. I hate the fact that I have to pay to study for an exam that I also have to pay for. It’s already so many fees and dues in the process to becoming a doctor, the least this world can do is provide free studying tactics.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Flashcards are remarkable

*2025-04-29, version 1.4.288*

I have been able to efficiently practice active recall with the flashcards made within the topics. I love that the flashcards are verbatim from the lectures and the questions are good quizzes for comprehension and retention. I love the app as a whole, the only thing I would change is the audio, it would be better as a voiceover because some videos I have to replay because I couldn’t hear well

### 5/5 — Great Study Tool

*2025-02-25, version 1.4.288*

This app has really helped me keep up with studying. It’s a great MCAT prep tool for an ADHD brain! I find it to be engaging and motivating, not to mention very convenient since you can flag topics and questions to review later in an easy-to-find place. The flashcards are great too.

### 5/5 — Best MCAT Content Review

*2024-12-27, version 1.4.288*

This app has been the absolute best for content review. Reading books only does so much. I have enjoyed using this app in addition to the Kaplan books. The examples in the videos are wonderful. The videos are clear and concise as well.

### 5/5 — Podcast by sam smith

*2024-12-23, version 1.4.288*

Ever since I started listening to Sams podcast on spotify, I cant UNLISTEN it every time I am out driving - or while doing some chores . Lots of appreciation and love for these life saving podcasts covering all high yield content 🫶🏻

### 5/5 — Thorough review of content!

*2024-12-19, version 1.4.288*

Supersedes the 2k+ programs available for a MUCH more cost effective rate

### 5/5 — Overall extremely insightful and didactic app

*2024-08-29, version 1.4.288*

Thank you Dr Ken Tao for putting this masterpiece together, your explanations are straight to the point and extremely accurate. Definitely the best MCAT app I’ve used

### 5/5 — Amazing Content and Tutor

*2024-08-14, version 1.4.288*

The content is easy to navigate with lots of great information and the tutor is magnificent!

### 5/5 — The best App for MCAT

*2024-07-23, version 1.4.288*

Great job! Definitely based on evidence material with so good HACKS to increase the learning process.

### 5/5 — Great Resource for a great price

*2024-05-16, version 1.4.286*

So far so good. But I guess I’ll really know when I take the MCAT

### 5/5 — Great app!
