I have tried and tried till I’m blue in the face, using both the restore under the settings and the iTunes restore. NEITHER WORKS. Don’t waste your time and money on this app. ZERO STARS. I’m canceling my subscription. Won’t ever buy this magazine again! ### 1/5 — Lost *2018-10-05* Lost all my back copies. I don’t have access to what I’ve already purchased. Even when app was working, McCall’s link to download pdf of the paper pattern inserts never worked! Catalogue page just freezes every time (for three months now) McCall's says to contact Apple for a refund. Apple says it a McCall's problem. Horrible. I get the magazine all right, in newsstand on my ipad. However, I can print only the pattern template section at the end - I cannot print the patterns that appear throughout the body of the magazine. I used to be able to email a link from within the app and download a pdf via the link, but now when I email a link it takes me to a page requiring me to sign in to publisher's website (which one cannot do with only Apple ID) So you buy the mag for patterns and then get only a very few of the patterns. Theft of my money, if you ask me. Blah. ### 1/5 — Crashes!! *2014-11-12* I have had this app along with quick quilts for 2 years, always crashes. It takes a long time to load also. I wish you got the magazine too with the digital version, then at least I would have the digital to fall back on. Since they do not, I am stuck trying to get pattern and snapping a pic of it on my iPad and fall back to the photos! ### 1/5 — Frustrated Reader *2013-10-03* I've gotten the print version of the magazine for years, but this app -- unlike all the other magazines I subscribe to -- doesn't let me download an issue (which I paid for in my print subscription) to my iPad. ### 1/5 — Can't get the new publication *2013-09-20* The magazine itself is great. However, the recent edition asks me for my email and password before I can download. When I input that information I'm told my email hasn't been authenticated and gives me a link to contact. I have sent two emails to that link over a two day period and have received no response. All it wants is my email and a password. All I want to do is read my new issue and I can't. I had many other magazines and it is easy to get new issues, but not this one. I am steaming mad to once again need to write this. Another update, another impossibility to gain access to my purchases. Horrible, awful and disgraceful support for this magazine and two others. All interconnected I am sure, after all I cannot see three different app developers all being miserable at sending out updates that work. I cannot think that I will ever trust you guys, especially after a similar thing happened a few years ago where we lost older magazines with an “update”. Someone needs to get their act into gear and get this sorted. It is awful customer service! ### 1/5 — Horrible *2020-02-16* I’ve been trying to access this app since September. The company has done noting but give me the run around. It will tell you to restore your issues and nothing happens. No response from support, if you really want this order from the website directly. NOT HAPPY AT ALL. I remember when the Mc Calls’ Name meant something good. Now it just reminds me of thieves, ready to take my yearly subscriptions but not delivering the product. On all 3, I and several others cannot access paid subscriptions or back issues. Clicking on restore purchases does not give a login screen mentioned in the instructions and no error message. Nothing works so you are out your $$ and your quilting ideas for the holidays! ### 1/5 — Magazines disappeared with last update! *2018-10-18* I had a digital subscription for a couple of years. This is one of the best and the cost is extremely reasonable. When I changed iPads, I lost all my back issues, the support I received to get everything back was incredibly fast. All of my purchases came back. Have emailed twice to find out what is going on and get help but no one has replied.
