## What is mccPILOTLOG?

mccPILOTLOG is a mobile companion for the main PC software program. The app allows you to log flights while away from home. Flight records are synched to the main PC database when you are back at home.

The app is developed for any kind of pilot, whether you drive the Boeing 787, you enjoy flying a Piper 28 Cherokee or gliders, or you serve oil rigs as a helicopter pilot...

Display local time, DST rules, sunrise/sunset, globe view for all 40,000 airfields that come with the app database. Get actual METAR/TAF weather reports, look-up any airfield on a map or calculate rhumb line and great-circle distance between 2 airfields.

mccPILOTLOG for iOS works off-line and does not require continuous internet connection. After logging a series of flights, all records are transferred to the main PC database via home or hotel wifi or 3G network. No hassle with cables, no special drivers to be installed.

The mobile app is not intended to be, and should not be used as, an independent logbook application, but only as a complementary mobile tool to the main PC program.

mccPILOTLOG logbook software is comprehensive PC program for MS Windows computers. The software runs also on Mac OS through Parallels Desktop or Bootcamp.

The PC software connects to your airline crew web portal (such as AIMS eCrews, Sabre FLiCA, Sabre CrewTrac, Sabre CWP Rocade, CatCrew, CrewDock) and transfers your planned flight roster to the iOS app. The software prints over 80 different reports and some 30 different EASA/FAA logbook formats.

You can free download the PC application from www.mccPILOTLOG.net

### 1/5 — Do not use this application.

*2022-09-29, version 4.5.3*

I've paid the lifetime for Mcc. Now they are focusing on the crew lounge application. They said they do not shut down the server BUT THEY DO NO LONGER UPDATE. I FEEL RIPPED OFF. Also, I never use a crew lounge application. Who knows if they will change to another one? I'm willing to share this situation with the airline pilots. Look luck to your business.

**Developer response:** Dear Ndkskwndndj, mccPILOTLOG is the legacy app that started in 2009. We have indeed stopped updating as of 2019, but the app continues to run. Depending on the time of purchase, you have paid around 0,5 USD per month. We believe this is not a rip off but a fair pricing. Furthermore, you can take advantage of our grandfathering offer to migrate your license from the legacy app to the new CrewLounge platform, and join 85K crew members.

### 1/5 — Absolute Crap

*2021-07-29, version 4.5.3*

I’m a mellow guy and it really takes a bit to get me upset but this app is garbage. Honestly the support team is in Vietnam and once they do get back to you days later, they do not answer the question or provide any solution. I once spent over 10 days emailing them just to get a sync going. Not ONCE have I even had a seamless sync with my airline, always error message after error message. Then the software was not compatible with Mac OS, then crew lounge came out but the process of switching over was a nightmare. Now, nothing syncs, getting in touch with support is a absolute nightmare, and I broke down this week and forked out the money for Log Ten Pro. LTP support emailed me back 10 minutes later, they offered to take all of my CSV files and import them for me. Just Grade A awesomeness. Honestly, as a career pilot, using this program for my logbook was easily one of the top 10 worst decisions I’ve made in my life. It is just an absolute horror of a company and for what, to save some money. The money savings is absolutely not worth the headache and stress from MCC. I literally cannot recommend enough that you etch your hours in stone with a chisel before using this logbook.

**Developer response:** Dear 999Capt, the Vietnam office is responsible for cloud development, not for support. Customer support is our top priority and we regret that you had a bad experience with us. We were unable to meet your expectations. We are drawing lessons from this to improve our services. Fly safe! #mccpilotlog

### 1/5 — Sham company

*2021-04-26, version 4.5.3*

After paying for a lifetime subscription on the old software, they turn around and switch to a new logbook called crew lounge. They informed me that I’d have to pay another 113 euro to continue on the new supported software. They then they quit supporting the old software and basically torpedoed being able to continue using it.
Don’t give these guys a dime. It’s not like the old software was very good to start with. It’s buggy and rarely functions properly. I’m sure crew lounge is garbage also

### 1/5 — Mcc not focused on the core product.

*2020-08-01, version 4.5.3*

After ten days of emails regarding an input of total time from old logs, I am still at the starting point. Mcc removed the link for uploading ExCell files (.csv). This created an issue for this user and it seems they have decided to forever about it. I learned that some of the operations are in Vietnam and some in the Philippines. Boasting 24/7 service this is problematic because right away for the US they are already a day ahead. They always take at least 2 days to answer. So with English being the Official aviation language, it would follow that communication is the issue. The software is not intuitively easy to use. And while it offers features for almost any commercial pilot, making this work to provide simple log totals is overall very complicated. No platform can do everything for everybody. Now they call their suite “Crew Lounge”. That is one place where virtually nothing gets done. And it seems their software fits that narrative.

**Developer response:** Dear Pilot! We have offices in Asia and Europe and work 24/7. We work as hard as we can to support our customers as soon as possible. We reply to most tickets within 48 hours. #Crewlounge

### 1/5 — Dissatisfied

*2020-07-16, version 4.5.3*

So I pay the money, only for them to say they’re changing it and not supporting my version.

They kindly offered me the chance to pay again however, and continue paying via subscription. Please F%*!off MccPilotLog.

MccPilotLog is clunky and had me searching through their manual a few times for stuff that should have been presented a little better.

Syncing wasn’t reliable too, though, that may have been due to company server. I never could get my planned schedule to sync with my iPad or iPhone.

Every time the program started on my PC, it would list various run-time errors.

Can’t recommend.

I do hope they leave a nice response below. A cheery little note offering me another “ticket number” would make my day.

### 1/5 — Terrible.

*2020-01-04, version 4.5.2*

Don’t waste your time. It used to be ‘decent’ a few years ago, now it’s super glitchy. And definitely don’t waste money on the new version that they have out.

**Developer response:** Hi Pilot! Do send us an email straight from the app for any issues you have encountered, we will be happy to investigate and help you out! #MCC

### 1/5 — Don’t even waste your time

*2019-12-30, version 4.5.2*

After more than 6 years using the app on both Windows, Mac and iOS with lots of bugs and compatibility issues I kept using it because of the lifetime signature of the Enterprise version. Now Mcc BVBA decided to kill the app and the lifetime users by releasing a new version of the same software with an yearly membership. Congratulations for loosing lots of users by being greedy.

**Developer response:** Hi, your lifetime license for mccPILOTLOG can be transferred to the new app, the new subscription does not apply to existing users. At your service. MCC

### 1/5 — Pay for twice

*2019-12-21, version 4.5.2*

Bought this app 3 years ago for around $80 for lifetime. Now app not working and the fix is to switch to CrewLounge app but the want you to pay another $107. The new CrewLounge looks the same as mccPILOTLOG. I feel ripped off after already paying once and they want you to pay again. What’s to keep them from discontinuing support for the new app and charge you again.

**Developer response:** Hi Dan! I understand your concern. I would love to further explain this change in subscription made by the company. If you had sent us an email before, you can return here with your ticket ID# or contact us and refer ticket ID#122636 on your email. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. #crewlounge

### 1/5 — Worst logbook app on the market

*2019-09-18, version 4.5*

Let me start by saying I never write reviews but this app deserves one. If I could give 0 stars I would.

This app is the most confusing, convoluted thing I’ve ever used. No customer support and auto generated responses that say they’ll get back to you in weeks. It’s a joke.

Save your time and money and go with ANY other option.

**Developer response:** Hi Pilot! We kindly ask for your ticket ID# so we could trace what happened to your ticket. We continue to support this software so we will investigate what happened. Looking forward to hear from you soon. #Crewlounge

### 1/5 — Go with anything else!

*2019-09-01, version 4.5*

I was told by numerous pilot buddies that MCC was a great and fairly inexpensive digital logbook. At first, it worked well but ever since their new update, everything has been beyond awful. I have emailed and emailed and emailed (because there is no number to call) to ask about converting old hours and it has now been 4 months with absolutely no response other than “thanks for the message we will get back to you, blah blah blah.” There are plenty of good options. Go with literally anything else and you’ll be happier than using MCC.

**Developer response:** Hi Brady! We regret the inconveniences this has caused you. Kindly send us your ticket IDs so I can check this conversion request. We look forward to hearing from you soon. #crewlounge
