My computer notified me of this program having high CPU usage. My laptop heated up to the extreme. I recommend REMOTE MOUSE App. It is great for both MAC and PC users. It works amazing! ### 2/5 — Good idea, but problematic *2013-05-13* I won't go into a lot of detail because I didn't use this app very long. The server software, which runs in the background on the PC, caused high CPU usage, which in turn caused the case fan to run fast and very loudly, which is not desirable on a HTPC. I will say that the app itself seems well designed, with a spare look and a few easy to use screens. Connectivity to the server software was a little spotty and had to be relinked occasionally. All in all, I'm not sure how well suited I-devices are as remotes. I have this installed on three Media Center systems, two are Windows7 and the third is a Windows 8. The server install was smooth and painless. I have the app on my iPhone and my wife's iPad all without issue. I spoke with the developer (Greg) to add some features, he was able to accommodate my request quickly and worked very close with me until I was fully satisfied. This is a top notch app and a developer that understood my request and was able to implement quickly. Thank you Greg. I recommend it if you like using the apple remote for your Apple TV. I give the app the new IP address, but it will not connect to the computer. I tried reinstalling the app, and reinstalling the SW on the computer. Made sure the server is allowed in the firewall, restarted computer, it just does not work. First Windows Explorer stopped working, and then Windows Installer when I tried to uninstall this. The installer hung on my new Win8 desktop, and after forcing the installer to close in Task Manager, Windows Explorer crashed. I rebooted and will not be trying again. Hopefully it hasn't screwed anything up longer term. Should probably be skeptical of iPhone apps that require a desktop download, since the desktop component has probably not been subjected to the same rigors of the Apple Store review process that the iPhone app is required to go through. ### 1/5 — Installed but wouldn't launch *2012-11-24, version 1.5* Installed the app. Tried launching but my screen was blank. So I am tryin to bring it up a bit. I downloaded the server that used bonjour, entered in my computers IP address and worked seamlessly. Anyone with a 21st century computer should run it. It didn't slow down anything unlike a previous user said. Thank you so much. Plz keep this app up. ### 5/5 — Works SWEET!!! *2014-06-02* This app does exactly what it says it does. I had zero problems with the install. Remember - YOU HAVE TO REBOOT to get everything to work. Once you do that, complete control. I'm even able to navigate through MediaBrowser with zero issues.
