## What is MChess?

MChess is a chess app for players who enjoy familiar rules with new tactical possibilities.

Start with standard chess, then try the expanded mode: build a custom army with a fixed point budget and play with hybrid pieces such as the Maharajah, Archbishop, and Chancellor. The app validates custom setups before a match starts, so unusual positions still begin from clear legal rules.

Play on one device, practice against the built-in engine, or use local network play when two players want separate devices. LAN hidden setup lets each player prepare privately before both armies are revealed and the match begins.

start-position rules to obey. Study a game, build an étude and look for its
solution, then play the same position out against the engine — or share it as a
link and let someone else try.

Eleven languages
The app and maharajah.one now speak English, Ukrainian, Russian, Hindi, Spanish,
Portuguese, Indonesian, French, Bengali, Urdu and Arabic. Pick yours in
Settings → Options; Urdu and Arabic read right to left, and the board keeps its
usual a…h orientation.

Play from Position
Paste a FEN or a whole game into the Play menu and take over from there — no more
rebuilding a position piece by piece in the editor. A pasted game arrives with its
real move history, so you can step back through it and play on from any point.

Stronger engine play
Removed a filter that could override the engine's own choice and replace a correct
move with a weaker one. The engine now plays exactly what it calculated, at every
difficulty level.

Fixes
- A pasted position that was already checkmate or stalemate is now recognised as
  such: the game ends with the right result instead of a generic win, and a
  stalemate is scored as a draw.
