Mckenzies in the City is a restaurant and bar located the picturesque City of Lichfield, Staffordshire. It’s the the perfect spot to enjoy sensational food, wine, cocktails and craft beer that showcases everything the region has to offer in a single, sophisticated setting. We support local farmers, brewery, fish merchant and Walter Smith is our butcher. Whether you’re celebrating a special weekend or a relaxed gathering with friends, our personable attention to detail will make your visit unique and memorable. Come early, or stay late. Relax. Enjoy a classic cocktail or a refreshing lager at The Loft with an excellent selection of wines, and a quality range of spirits. The Loft is the perfect place to kick back with friends and family. We pride ourselves on only serving cattle steak that have been bred purely for eating. A large proportion of meat in the UK is from dairy herds. There is a clear difference in the taste profile between cattle and dairy steak. Dairy steak requires wet ageing to tenderise it, whilst cattle is dry aged, which promotes a finer, and more complex taste profile.
