The McLEAR Ring is the most convenient, secure way to make payments anywhere in the world you see the contactless logo - simply tap your ring against the point-of-sale terminal and walk away. THE APP This app helps you manage your McLEAR Ring, from its initial activation through to checking your balance, viewing transactions you've made and adding top-up funds. We have many features in development, so additions and updates will be coming in fast, increasing the functionality even further. RING DESIGN The ring is available in 20 sizes (US sizes 4.5-16) and is designed for style, comfort and performance. It is made from a specially engineered ceramic - which is extremely light, yet remains strong. The ring is water-resistant, scratch-resistant and hypoallergenic. Perhaps most importantly, it does not contain a battery of any kind and never needs charging - meaning you'll always have it on your finger to use whether you're jogging, swimming or have otherwise busy hands at the coffee shop. RING FEATURES A large majority of popular retail stores across the world accept contactless payments. Since the ring is already on your finger, the checkout experience avoids fumbling for a phone in your pocket or purse - or clicking a button before you can tap the terminal. With the McLEAR Ring you just "knock" your fist and you're done. In addition to retail payments the ring also supports contactless transit gates. Many cities around the world allow you to use your ring to "knock" on the entry gate to gain access and pay for your journey. SECURITY Your security is our priority. If you think you've lost your ring, a single tap in the app will disable the ring so that no one can use it. If you then find it, another tap will reactivate it immediately for use. But each time they update the App you need to reenter your password. FaceID doesn't work. I use the strong password feature from Apple given it's a financial service, so no idea what it is. Then the icing on the cake, it won’t work with a VPN enabled! £&/:£ing stupid! If you are stuck with public WiFi, you can’t use a VPN to check the balance. And the authors state it’s for security! Can’t speak highly enough of it basically!! ### 2/5 — Brilliant idea *2021-07-15, version 1.91* I bought the ring a few years ago used it loads then I stopped for a while no matter how many time I reset the password I could not access the app, now I’m told that the ring has a 2 year lifespan and I have to buy another at full price, Why does it cease to work after 2 years I would like an answer please, also why not a replacement at a lower cost for customers already signed up. Also it wasn’t made clear when purchasing the ring there is a time limit of 2 years, and you will have to purchase and new ring at £89. Which is outrages! Saying to keep up with latest technology. Well if that is the case why is my bank card not updated as frequently as this??
