### 1/5 — No Longer Supports Naim

*2018-12-04, version 2.4.8*

I used to play to my Naim products via this app but since last update it can’t find/doesn’t recognise the Nova or Mu-So QB on the same network.

### 1/5 — Useless!

*2018-03-02*

Does not access ANY network devices — sees my NAS, but keeps telling me to attach the device to my network.

Tidal works if I play to my iPad only, but since I can access Tidal directly, who needs mConnect?

### 1/5 — Latest version does not play TIDAL to PS Audio DirectStream

*2017-10-05*

With the latest version of the MConnect Control, I can no longer play TIDAL to PS Audio DirectStream Network Bridge 2 (all latest firmware). Mcontrol simply says “device not supported”. I am using iPAD/iPhone with iOS 11.
What is going on? The older MConnect version was working fine.
Can someone please fix this?
Thanks,
Sam

### 1/5 — Latest version killed TIDAL

*2017-03-30*

I can no longer play TIDAL on my PS Audio DirectStream with Bridge II network card.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Mostly not working

*2025-07-04*

It is the only way to play local files (from SSD drive) on my Nagra streamer and then it does not recognize these file which it did before. It tries to use Airplay but I can use that without mconnect

### 1/5 — GUI needs total overhaul

*2024-03-23, version 2.4.86*

clunky to use, ergonomic mess, way behind the competition.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2023-05-27, version 2.4.64*

Absolute garbage

### 1/5 — Sorry, but it is crap.

*2022-11-27, version 2.4.62*

It’s crap now, hopefully it improves alot.

### 1/5 — Was good but now😧

*2022-03-31, version 2.4.53*

Was very reliable but last few weeks it cannot see my Kef LS50 wireless what have you done???

### 1/5 — Wont see network streamer

*2021-10-04, version 2.4.45*

Disappointed, i wanted to use spotify and apple music on Mconnect HD as well as tidal and qobuz, then i spotted this app however whereas connect HD sees my streamer this does not and is therefore useless.

### 1/5 — Stream to what.

*2020-01-23, version 2.4.18*

Have tried 5 different upnp streamers with this and it works with zero of them....... what’s this app actually for...?

### 1/5 — Really?

*2019-12-29*

This is about the worst software I have been required to use since I retired from the government. Buggy, inconsistent and poorly designed interface, and at times completely nonfunctional. Unfortunately I think it is the only option I have to stream Qobuz and Internet radio to my Directstream DAC.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work for me

*2019-12-04, version 2.4.16*

Can’t find my server on my network. Tried mode 0, 1 & hybrid. Other apps such as Kazoo work fine.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2019-08-19, version 2.4.12*

The app do not open on iPad pro 2018, but work on my old one.

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Simple app to use

*2023-12-07, version 2.4.78*

Although simple UI and not much detailed functionality the app functions without a glitch. Been using it for 3 months now. Does what it’s supposed to do and never glitchy.

### 5/5 — Works well with PS Audio with DLNA server

*2022-02-12*

I use mConnect with my PS Audio DirectStream Junior DAC. I stream from a DLNA server. I don’t want to pay for a Roon subscription and was happy that PS Audio offered mConnect as an alternative. I can understand other users’ frustration with streaming, but with patience, this is a reliable control app. I store flac files in a file system on a hard drive connected via usb to my DLNA capable router. Each album is saved as a separate forked and inside each folder, I name cover art files cover.jpg” and the art appears when I play the album on mConnect. MConnect is the best streaming controller free or paid.

### 5/5 — Ideal for Meridian 210 Streamer

*2019-09-02, version 2.4.12*

This aptly named app is ideal for streaming content from a connected portable hard drive to a Meridian 210 Streamer, and whose features far exceed the competition. It just works. Album artwork is viewable on playback. Meridian 210 volume control works in the app. Multi zone playback. Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, Qobuz connectivity. Ace.

### 5/5 — Fixed Internet Radio issues!

*2018-12-01*

The 2.4.8 update has fixed the “Error in streaming or invalid file format” errors that I used to receive trying to stream WHYY Philadelphia and WMUK Kalamazoo to my PS Audio Bridge II network card. This problem had frustrated me because I didn’t know where the problem originated - in vTuner, mConnect, or the network card. Thank you mConnect!

### 5/5 — Whoa! Great App!

*2018-02-25*

User friendly, Apple Airplay, Wireless HD passport Pro works flawlessly.
Great sounds quality.

Highly Recommended!

### 5/5 — Mconnect control

*2017-07-20*

Very easy to use. I am running the just released firmware for my PS Audio Directstream Bridge II. Released 7/18/17 and it is seamless. Intuitive and easy to use.

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2017-05-12, version 2.3.0*

The best integrated streaming controller app. Congratulation!

### 4/5 — Direct stream

*2020-05-31, version 2.4.21*

Works fine with my PS Audio directstream & streams MQA.
No problems so far but could do with more space for artist/album search view only half of the screen is available the rest taken up with a mconnect square which once you select a track you can then expand to full screen.
Please give us full screen for searching so we can see more album in the search menu

### 3/5 — Good, but needs to support Airport Express devices

*2016-01-18, version 2.1.1*

I like this app for AirPlay multi-room playback but sadly the app fails to detect Apples AirPort Express base stations that have 'audio-out' to connected speakers.

I assume this is an Apple limitation placed upon the developer, rather than it being an oversight.

It's a pity, because I have several speakers connected to two Airport Express devices and it would have been great to have grouped them together for multi-room playback.

Still there are lots of good features within this software and I will keep an eye out for future updates.
