The navigation on the device is impossible along with a separate app which is needed for some reason. I called customer service and the tech nearly fell asleep on me when attempting help. I told him I will call back. Had to have a service tech come out to help. I guess if I opted for the device with a monthly payment, I may not be writing this. I can’t get anyone to help fix the problem either. The app also freezes a lot, and the sound quality to the doorbell camera is not very good. The delay when speaking to someone on the other end is too long .Good thing as a part of my new home they let you try the system for free for a year. However, in the beginning, I couldn’t get a technician that wanted to come out because I was looking only to try out the free applications and devices that were offered. Making a sale to the rep was more important than having me try the product first. Overall, this hasn’t been a no hassle easy system. Has been unreliable since the day we moved in how long we been in the house four years ago. I can literally search through my momma purse and all the junk to find my actual front door key to lock it faster and know that it’s actually locked.Tried getting it fixed and was told we are in a bad area of coverage. When we contacted customer service to end our contract, we were told we owe like $7,000 worth of free equipment that doesn’t work properly and hasn’t ever. There is the one time that they called the fire department when we were changing batteries in the smoke alarms, however have never contacted us when the fire alarms go off with cooking smoke which happens easily from cooking. The amount of disappointment for a service of practically nothing is inexcusable. ### 1/5 — These smart craps etc *2026-06-04, version 6.53.1* It has been more than hour that I have not yet figured out how to sign in on m.con…. App. It gives only an option of entering username and password, incompetent enough to realize that what about those who need to register for the first time. After couple of hours you will find out that oh! It needs the same username and password that you made for Resideo/First Alert app. Now at this point you will think that Bingo I got it but even that won’t let you sign in. Whose software idea is this anyways ? Lets not talk about thermostats not getting connected to your phone Resideo app after creating a separate 2.4Ghz band from home WiFi. What a stubborn thermostat it is that Ai made me walk through every step and it still wouldn’t connect. 4 different techs from resideo support chat in the whole week didn’t figure out what it won’t connect to the app on the phone. Anyone you talk to will have you go through the same steps over and over that you did so many times that you feel like a ‘ Tech’ yourself now. So disappointed of all these smart manufactured devices that none of them are user friendly. And by the way why all these devices have not one single app instead of three different signups. ### 1/5 — Sensors don’t work *2026-05-13, version 6.53.1* Sensors don’t work and camera is not working half the time ### 1/5 — Issues all around, can’t even sign in now *2026-04-15, version 6.53.1* Now it doesn’t even let me sign in with the account I’ve used from the very beginning so I can check on my locks. That aside it’s always been slow and awkward, constant disconnected cameras and thermostat, they make it incredibly difficult to perform a simple reset on said cameras so you have to get a technician that’s never available. About the only consistent function is the alarm system and door locks and that’s all I use it for since replacing the cameras. I plan on scrapping this whole headache of a system and getting new locks and alarm system through Google home. If you have a Honeywell thermostat get the nest too. The front door lock and garage door open/close features have worked well, as does the alarm setting and video doorbell. The main problem I’ve come across is that it doesn’t properly sync with our thermostat, so the current temperature is never accurate and there’s no way to refresh.
