### 2/5 — Makes me miss paper billing

*2022-12-04, version 4.1.24*

This app remains clunky to use when entering patient data on a busy L&D floor. There are very few shortcuts to use when putting in similar CPT/ICD codes, throughout the day. Also, it gets even more frustrating that I’ve got to update the app every few weeks, unlike other charge capture apps that allow you to complete your work and update later at my convenience. I can only assume the app creators never truly competed with the better apps out there and had no reason to make itself more user friendly.

### 2/5 — Too many toggles

*2022-06-10, version 4.1.22*

And now they added a new one for when a ticket is rejected. You want me to toggle another switch for yes I fixed it??? We’re up to about 50 toggles per ticket now. It needs more macros

### 1/5 — Awful App

*2018-07-11, version 3.3.3*

Takes way too much time to use for each case, requires use of providers personal phone-also how is this not a violation of the anti kick back law, as the developer works for the organization requiring us to use it? Does not feel HIPPA compliant? On fast turn over cases it adds time? Five star claims on this site are bogus, shame on you? We have EPIC which requires NO EXTRA STEPS? Only reason I see to require this is for the developer to make money?

### 1/5 — MD Cloud

*2018-07-02, version 3.3.3*

If you want a time wasting app that will make your Anesthesia Practice inefficient this is for you! I spend my day hitting toggles on my iPhone and looking up ICD 10 and CPT Codes and taking pictures on my phone. I wouldn’t use it unless my group forced me to.

### 4/5 — Excellent customer service

*2018-05-11, version 3.2.9*

In the current atmosphere of computerized charting and billing, the MD claim team has been above the rest in rapid response and resolution to technical support. Of the 4-5 times I’ve had to contact them for issues I created, I had a solution within minutes. The most recent example was having my password reset and me back to work in less than 1 minute. Thank you Robbie as well as the rest of the MD claim team for your efforts to make this process easier.

### 1/5 — Annoying

*2018-02-24, version 3.2.3*

Very, very time consuming. Toggle options prove tedious rather than beneficial. Takes an extra 15 min to complete, causing delay in turn over times due to anesthesia delay. Also, concern for violation of patient information since pictures are required to be taken on PERSONAL communication device.

### 1/5 — Does not work with iPhone X.

*2017-11-11, version 3.2.0*

Works well most of the time. However, it does not work on iPhone X and still hasn’t been updated to do so. When the service is such an integral part of operations that is disappointing.

### 1/5 — Review

*2017-06-14, version 3.0.6*

The purpose of technology is to make things easier and to make things better. This app fails on both fronts. Kudos to the developers for their total lack of ingenuity and then to have the audacity to write the fake 5/5 star reviews congratulating themselves for this total abortion of an app. Do not use this app.

### 1/5 — Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!

*2017-05-12, version 3.0.3*

Good God this app is slow, half done, and poorly thought out. Clearly anesthesia providers were not used to beta test this product before launch.

### 1/5 — DAF

*2017-04-24, version 3.0.1*

This app should be called "Lets do paper work and ignore patient care". It will literally take you a long long time to fill out this app for each case while ignoring the patient care in the meantime. It is very unrealistic for an anesthesia provider to do.

### 1/5 — Too time consuming

*2016-08-24, version 1.1.2*

This app is good if you only have one or two cases per day...other wise you spend too much of time filling up unnecessary stuff...Getting correct CPT code is really a pain...( that's the job of coders whom I pay , should not b mine )

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Just terrible

*2021-04-16, version 4.1.13*

This is an app that is constantly creating solutions in search of problems that don’t exist, their staff rejects tickets capriciously, and it is ridiculously cumbersome.
Just terrible

### 1/5 — Long time tech user.

*2020-08-19, version 4.1.9*

This program is horrible.
And the support atrocious.

They have promised many upgrades and integrations that they failed to deliver over the last few years.

If you can, stay away..

And for the personnel at this company, I am sorry...

Maybe someone there could read the books “The Design of Everyday Things” and “Don’t make me think” to get some insight into UI design..

### 1/5 — Needs work

*2020-06-12, version 4.1.8*

Every other day it asks me to sign in new

It forgets the face recognition or even email / username

Terrible

They keep telling me to erase and reinstall

That is not the problem. It is the bugs in your app !!

### 1/5 — Coding

*2020-02-22, version 4.1.4*

There is schooling that teaches coding. It’s not quick and easy. But by switching to this, practitioners are now also expected to b coders, and not all diagnosis/procedure codes are even in the data base. This is an unnecessary burden on my time, particularly when being pushed to produce.

### 1/5 — Forced to use this (cr)APP

*2020-02-15, version 4.1.3*

Part of a large group with no choice but to use this cr(APP).

Buggy, slow, cumbersome.

Need I say/complain more?

### 1/5 — Updates aren’t improving anything

*2019-08-05, version 4.1.2*

100% of the people I work with can’t stand this app. It distracts from patient care and it is incredibly frustrating. The fact that our group uses this horrendous app shows how much the administration values the opinions of their clinical staff.

### 1/5 — A millennial user

*2019-03-12, version 4.0.8*

I am a so called “millennial” and grew up with technology. So computers/apps are second nature to me. I’ve used this app for 1.5 years. I can fill out and submit a ticket in 2 mins or less usually.
So why am I rating this as 1 star?? Because my old paper billing took 10 seconds, not 2 minutes to fill out....which is a huge difference when you have a busy day with short cases and quick turnover. These extra two minutes slow everyone down!
But my biggest issue is with the “rejected” tickets. Half of the time tickets are rejected because the MDclaim people fail to read all the attachments to find the information they need. The IT support is WORTHLESS. They are impossible to get in contact with and put absolutely no effort into helping you find the necessary information for a successful ticket. If you have a choice of billing options, run from this!!

P.s. It’s absurdly obvious which reviews are the company paid users

### 1/5 — Useless app.

*2018-10-09, version 4.0.0*

This app is useless. Now we are told we should update it. After the update it no longer works. Support is absolutely no help at all

### 1/5 — Physician = Data Entry Clerk

*2018-10-09, version 3.3.4*

This app is cumbersome and slow, making the user divert attention from patient care to inputting data into MDClaim. Forcing the user to be the data entry clerk is not conducive to efficiency and quick case turnover. There are too many lines, scrolls and toggles that are required to complete the process. The customer service is also of questionable value. I tried to update the app one evening and was subsequently locked out and lost access. I called the help number and the immediate assistance choice on the voicemail menu forwarded my call to a message in Spanish. The next day it took over 20 minutes and two tech assistants to regain access. Nice job! I do not recommend this app unless you enjoy frustrating experiences.

### 1/5 — Wish I could rate zero

*2018-09-04, version 3.3.4*

Too bad there’s not an option to rate zero stars. this app doesn’t deserve the one star I’m required to give it.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excellent App and Incredible IT Support

*2024-01-02*

Addendum: Top notch company: extremely responsive and helpful. They had to do a revision apparently, and they have listened to feedback and always work hard to make things right. Doctors can be hard to please but really: this tool is excellent and the folks behind it accomplished a lot and will always work to satisfy the users. If only all companies had support and customer relations like them. Top notch team. Total respect. Original Review: This app is the IDEAL tool for its purpose. It is extremely well designed! The user interface is simple and intuitive, and it is fast and easy to use. Moreover, the IT support is exceptional !!! They are helpful, professional, and extremely responsive and quick to respond. If only ALL apps and companies had support this good! No exaggeration. Expert IT is only one part....the clinical components are thoughtful and are way ahead of the curve in terms of knowing what needs to be documented and tracked. Don't underestimate how hard it is to accomplish a quality and clinically correct app like this! Clinicians who are not keyed in to WHY this tool is necessary simply don't know what they don't know. As for time factors, anyone who has used it more than a few times should be able to fill all fields in a couple minutes. Also they have been extremely responsive to suggestions and have shown this by modifications. For the necessary purpose, this app is EXCEPTIONALLY well conceived and designed.

### 5/5 — Believing the Naysayers will be YOUR loss!

*2021-01-14, version 4.1.10*

This is an outstanding app to accurately transmit billing and quality data in a HIPAA compliant manner at the time of service! Completing the information takes almost no time at all, especially after a few uses. The app steps you through process, minimizing the required input, and double checking for conflicts and for completeness. ALL of this information is required for clean claims and quality and MIPS reporting. The disgruntled users complain about issues unrelated to the app. Schedulers pre-enter patient demographics. All that is left to enter is information that the only the provider can truly know and validate. “Rejected tickets” are based on the criteria set by you or your organization, NOT MD Claim. These are typically due to blurry, illegible image captures by the provider that are required for billing and/or validation. The other common reason for rejection is lack of documentation, such as a missing or incomplete note for an arterial line or TAP block that I have performed, and I want to get paid for. In the unlikely event they are needed, the support department is excellent and timely. Issues reported in other reviews were resolved long ago. The negative reviews are from two years ago! Those involved in practice management recognize the tremendous ROI via this digital solution. It truly is an outstanding product that has made a tremendous difference in our organization!

### 5/5 — Learn it- then you love it

*2018-11-09, version 4.0.3*

Once you learn it, it is easy and becomes second nature. So much easier than the old paper method. No lost tix, no lost charges, no lost income.

### 5/5 — Great Product!

*2018-05-02, version 3.2.9*

Using this app day to day has helped to eliminate our need for paper and improved the speed of our billing process. My patients are happy they receive bills quickly after their procedure. The MD Cloud team are wonderful trainers and responsive when I have an issue. If you are looking for innovation in healthcare billing MD Cloud is the way to go!

### 5/5 — whoever complaint is because they don’t understand

*2018-03-21, version 3.2.5*

MDcclaim is a product to help us to comply with government requirements, is not only the best and more complete product in the market for anesthesia practices, but the best serviced.

MDCloud Customer service rocks!

### 5/5 — Excellent App and Incredible IT Support

*2017-04-22, version 3.0.1*

### 5/5 — revenue optimizer

*2017-04-21, version 3.0.1*

Once our group started using this program we had an 13% increase in salary. We realized very quickly that the "professional" billing companies, had 10% percent lost claim rate. They also forgot to bill for a large portion of our lines and blocks. Of course, this was acceptable to them because it is not their money. Thank goodness for this app considering today's medical climate.

### 5/5 — MDClaim

*2017-04-21, version 3.0.1*

MDClaim is a great software program. Our large group has implemented it smoothly and successfully. It is user friendly, understood and operated easily by even the least computer savvy physicians in our practice. Ability to pre-populate patient data and the quick case options cut down tremendously on time needed to complete the tickets. Overall huge decrease in time for tickets to enter the billing cycle. Support team prompt and very helpful in dealing with questions or problems.

### 5/5 — Best app

*2016-05-01, version 1.0.1*

I commend the developers of this app. It is practical, concise and easy to use. It enhances our practice in many different ways; billing, collecting various important metrics for reporting, reconciliation, no more paper!! Can't say enough about it. Strong work.

### 4/5 — Be real

*2019-04-24, version 4.1.0*

I have been reading many of the reviews and having a good laugh! Most of the knocks on the app are that it takes away from patient care? Really? Are you honestly spending every second looking at the monitor or the patient? I think not.
Another said it took them 15 minutes to input the data in MD Claim! You need to get away from patients!
I have used MD Claim for 2 years and it certainly is not perfect. It takes about 30 seconds to fill out a normal ticket and about a minute to do a new one.
Customer service isn’t the best, but they have always gotten back to me.
I think the strengths of MD Claim are in the ability to track tickets and make sure everyone is submitting their tickets.
You don’t have to carry paper tickets, facesheets and charge tickets anymore. This helps with compliance and breach issues.
Helps tremendously with government requirements that change yearly.
Finally, the ability to data mine your practice is invaluable.
The main thing that frustrates me are the rejected tickets for wrong or picky reasons.
It’s not perfect, but it’s being improved all the time.
