## What is mDL ID Wallet?

This is a voluntary, secure, and digital version of your identification credentials, stored in a mobile app. Since this technology is still emerging, users should continue carrying their physical ID, as not all entities can verify digital credentials yet.  

The wallet allows you to store and present official digital IDs while giving you control over what information you share. Unlike traditional physical IDs, you can selectively disclose data to businesses and organizations

Designed for convenience and privacy, the mDL ID Wallet ensures that no data leaves your device without consent, and no entity can track your usage. It enhances security by providing businesses and verifiers with a high level of assurance that credentials are genuine and unaltered, reducing fraud and identity theft.
