Do not purchase this product and expect a smooth app upload/connection. Can not connect to any videos on the cloud unless you are sitting in the vehicle with it turned on and connected to WIFI (WORTHLESS). Developers are non existent, when you go to the website it’s in Korean and when you translate there is no drivecam support available. I’ve made multiple trips to the dealership and had several people try to get this thing working, and it still doesn’t. The only way to see video is by pulling the SD card and plugging it into a computer. The app is useless — it won’t connect to the cloud or show recordings. For the ridiculous price, this is absolute junk. On the rare occasion it does connect it gives an invalid token error when you try to do anything. Cannot get registered for the MDRIVE app cloud access. It will not accept the information from the back of the unit and nobody knows what to do with it. I’m so frustrated I ordered this preinstalled on a new Pathfinder. I’m a software engineer and have spent hours trying to get it configured and signed up for the cloud service and still can’t get it to accept registration. If you’re reading this review then it is probably already too late for you and you have purchased this and are suffering with it. If you are the app developer then you need to make the setup process MUCH easier and provide some support and documentation somewhere! Also, eff you for intermixing 0 and O in the middle of the serial number. I can tell the difference but most people probably can’t and is proof how clueless you are. ### 1/5 — Dual Recorder Membership *2024-07-26* I purchased the dual camera drive recorder (T99Q6-5VG0B) and had it installed at the same Infiniti dealership where I purchased my 2024 Infiniti QX60 on June 14, 2024. I downloaded the app and have attempted to initiate service using the device ID and security key located on the camera, but I keep getting an error message stating “incorrect device ID or security key” every time I enter the information. I took a picture of the device ID and security key to ensure I wrote down the correct information. There was no information on how to contact customer service located on any of the instructions and after searching through the service agreement, I found an email address to reach out regarding the issue I’m having only to get a response “sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address”. After spending $1,192.18 to purchase and have the camera installed, I’m not at all impressed with support in being able to actually use the camera. I thought using an authorized Infiniti/Nissan device would be the best decision, but I’ve been proven wrong. ### 1/5 — Support? *2024-07-18, version 1.3.8* Is anyone supporting this app? Never worked, can’t use any other features of my car while the camera is connected to wifi. Infiniti didn’t even know how it operated, waiting to see if I can get my money back. Horrible product ### 1/5 — Do Not Waste Your $ *2024-05-25, version 1.3.8* Rather than connecting to your phone via Bluetooth, you have to connect via WiFi, BUT… you have to turn your cellular data off to do that. Who wants to drive with their cellular data off. You CANNOT connect to the Cloud via your vehicles hotspot. This app is base and Nissan doesn’t care it’s reputation is being affected by this lame application. This is no exaggeration. The app seems like it was coded by someone with absolutely zero experience. It’s incredibly buggy, nothing is intuitive, and over half of the application doesn’t even work properly. Do not purchase this product! Very disappointing. Applications shouldn’t be allowed to accept money until they are tested and verified “ready to use” first. ### 1/5 — I wish i never bought my altima with this *2026-08-03, version 2.0.0* The app recently received a new update for the 2.0 and the new update caused the wifi connection to no longer function on the iphone. Unfortunately, i cannot adjust the camera and no longer access it via phone, the only way to see any footage now is by removing the sd card and plugging it into the computer. Please fix this! The app is terrible. The quality of the recording is inferior. Between the cost of the equipment and installation I’m out over $1000. I’ve just received a message from the app saying that if I don’t accept their new terms, the Apple will no longer function. Logging in is ridiculously difficult. I’m thoroughly disgusted. My advice is to use an aftermarket product. I’m also angry that there is no website for this company where one can get Assistance. I needed to reset the drive camera a few times, for my iPhone to discover the WiFi network. Once connected, change the password right a way. I had to turn my home WiFi router to 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz for the camera to connect the first time, but after that it connects fine. I can also manually take out the micro SD card and view the files on my computer/iPad/iPhone with a card reader. Really handy. So far, So good. I guess it helps to be a little bit of a tech head, but isn’t that part of owning technology? ### 3/5 — Anyone having login issues?! *2025-10-05, version 1.3.8* Hey there! If you’re having trouble finding the “Device ID and Security Key,” it’s actually on the device itself before you attach it. Plus, there are two clips on the side that slide down to reveal those details.
