### 1/5 — Useless

*2025-07-04, version 3.3.9*

This is a useless app.
There’s no information on this app that is of any benefit except to MDVIP.
There’s no information about recipes or newsletters. They used to be a patient access portal that had that they had before.
I know they have it on the Doctors app but the patient should have access to that information. I think we can pick out a recipe on our own without having to have a doctor show it to us.
There is no value in having this app. Pay your bills in normal way. And keep this piece of junk off your phone.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2025-06-27, version 3.3.9*

Using the app is useless. You have to have a laptop/tablet to use all the benefits offered. I don’t carry my tablet/laptop with me!
Deleting from my phone

### 1/5 — Payment feature inaccurate

*2025-04-26, version 3.3.8*

I received a bill and it stated that I could pay on the app.
I downloaded the app and it shows I don’t owe any money which is inaccurate. I do owe the money.

### 1/5 — Technical Disaster

*2025-04-07, version 3.3.8*

Absolutely awful from day one… the only functioning part is there persistence in asking for payment. The App is awful, payments are ‘received’ thru the app but then billing isn’t updated and they’ll ask again and again and again. Like everywhere else they take your money/fees instantly but refunds or overages are returned to your account at a snails pace (4-6 weeks). Customer Service is professional but helpless with solving app issues, yet ready to accept another payment even if your account doesn’t reflect that any payment is due OR you’re waiting on a refund check! It’s enough of a headache/problem to advise others to never join or let your membership expire and look for another practice without this catastrophic healthcare plan!

### 1/5 — Completely worthless

*2025-02-17, version 3.3.8*

Once signed in the app just spins and spins, stuck on the message screen.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-01-26, version 3.3.8*

For as much as we pay for this service, you’d think we could get a working app. It doesn’t load, and if it does it says there’s an error. My appointments don’t show up, my messages do not work. It’s pointless to have. Just contact your doctor directly and use the website.

### 1/5 — Can’t open app

*2025-01-14, version 3.3.8*

Can’t even open the app on my iPhone. Open and closes right there. Surprised they don’t fix it. MDVIP service costs good money, one would expect they keep the app updated and running. Not a good sign.

### 1/5 — Time for face ID

*2024-08-18, version 3.3.6*

It’s pretty tiresome that a few years later and I still need to remember my username and password every few days to use this app.

### 1/5 — Zero if possible

*2024-01-27, version 3.3.6*

For as much money as an MDVIP membership costs the app and even just online website services is general is shameful. I would expect with as much money as is dished out in membership fees thst I would be getting fresh, posh services and yet I feel like I’m stuck in the 80s. When I was on the most basic HmO their care was up to date, they had tons of online features, their test results were available and would sync up with Apple health. They had ACTUAL benefits for members, the benefits mdvip claims you get for your membership is like literally nothing

### 1/5 — Does nothing

*2023-09-28, version 3.3.3*

Just spins and says loading

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2023-08-18, version 3.3.1*

The app was pretty useless before but now it won’t even open. The website is a tad better but the entire platform has gone buggy to point of useless.

### 1/5 — Constantly crashes

*2023-06-25, version 3.3.1*

What worked once in awhile doesn’t work at all now. Needs major rewrite

### 2/5 — Need to fix messages

*2023-05-11, version 3.3.1*

I use this app because it is preferable to using texts to talk to my doctor. However, my biggest issue with the app is that when typing messages that are longer than a couple of lines the text goes behind the keypad, and there is no way to view the text. Seems like since this is an app that one sends sensitive medical information that viewing a message to be sent to one’s doctor should be a important feature.

### 1/5 — AWFUL!

*2023-04-16, version 3.3.1*

MDVIP app is USELESS!
My last Records in the app are from 2019.
The Current year is 2023.
I’ve spoken with MDVIP Headquarters; Wasted my Time.

### 1/5 — Not working!

*2023-03-27, version 3.3.0*

Pro: App shows billing info and results of my annual physical examination.
Con: I cannot make messaging work to contact my physician. Locks up on “set subject” and will not let me add message or send it. Seriously detracts from usefulness!!!

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2023-03-25, version 3.3.0*

Initially this app worked fine, but now it is useless. This app is just like being an MDVIP member and the service you get with that.

### 2/5 — Poor app

*2023-03-17, version 3.3.0*

It’s really disappointing to be paying so much for the MDVIP program and then have such a poor app. If I was a doctor in the program I would be ashamed. I have been using the older version and just downloaded the new. - it’s just a bad. They need to hire some people that understand UI - crazy poor app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Canceling

*2026-04-11, version 3.4.1*

They’re canceling the app to save money so they can charge the patients more. Another great move for corporations and a bad move for health care.

### 1/5 — Needs work

*2026-03-26, version 3.4.0*

App stuck. Cannot log in.

### 1/5 — Sorely lacking. Cannot see landscape view or what I have paid

*2026-03-05, version 3.4.0*

There are just so many web designers out there who can do a much, much, much better job with this MDVIP app. When a person pays for a service the app should Always have the account info right there in the app.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work at all

*2026-02-27, version 3.4.0*

That says it all. Sign up. Log in. It just spins. Believe it or not, not every activity needs an app. If you can’t make an app work, just use a website.

### 1/5 — Be wary. Bad app, worse system.

*2026-02-06, version 3.4.0*

If you are being sold this MDVIP system, be aware: this app, it doesn’t function. It’s used as a selling point, but in practice doesn’t work. Moreover, this whole idea of MDVIP is nothing more than doctors slimming their work load (which is understandable, I’ll concede) but… when you read MDVIP’s “pitch,” there’s plenty about new panels and more comprehensive care, etc. But enrolling and agreeing to use this service, or if your doctor is switching over? First, you might be booted from the practice if you don’t pay (real, and in most cases, the outcome). So, pay to keep your doctor, keep continuity of care. Or don’t, and find another doctor on your own. The worst is how the sales pitch about new screening and testing panels and preventative care… that’s all standard of care, and should not require *additional** out of pocket premium *on top* of what you already pay. Eg deductibles and co-pays. Which brings up the second part: being part of MDVIP doesn’t mean your insurance will magically cover new panels, tests, or preventative care. They are still, very much, the gatekeepers. Your insurance will still have to approve or reject any extra care, panels, tests, MDVIP or not. So, what is this, really? It’s pay to play. It means only a slice of the public is allowed to keep their primary care doctor. The slice who can pay. Period.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t load

*2026-02-05, version 3.4.0*

I’m seeing reviews as old as 7 years showing the app having long term problems and they still are not resolved

### 1/5 — Useless app

*2025-11-11, version 3.3.9*

After installing the app, it never worked over the span of a week. Every time I opened it, it said “loading” with a spinning wheel and never actually loaded, even after I just let it run for over an hour. Ridiculous

### 1/5 — Not great

*2025-11-11, version 3.3.9*

App is worthless. Never seen an app with less information

### 1/5 — App does not work

*2025-10-04, version 3.3.9*

Just a spinning loading indicator

### 1/5 — Fax machine is better

*2025-07-09, version 3.3.9*

Don’t bother with this app. A fax machine may be better. They’ve put minimal effort into it. The docs in the group themselves are great - you’re better off calling or emailing your dr directly

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — App works very well for me

*2026-04-09, version 3.4.1*

I’ve not had one problem with app 2001. Does exactly like it supposed…contacting my physician when needed.

### 5/5 — MDVIP review

*2023-03-31, version 3.3.0*

Site is highly reflected by the actual your choice Doctor. We have a great Primary Care doctor. He demands excellent quality and service. So I rate his work accordingly.

### 5/5 — A great App

*2019-07-03, version 2.9.5*

This App provides the required functionality to be able to communicate with our physician. Also, I loved the fact that I can now view my panel results right from the App.

### 5/5 — Coordinating Family Care

*2019-06-18*

This app is extremely useful for coordinating care of several family members (kids, parents, spouse)! To have all the medical data available at your fingertips during a specialist appointment or during an emergency situation is priceless. Also, you can link to all kinds of doctors, not just MDVIP doctors.

### 5/5 — No complaints

*2019-05-21, version 2.8.8*

Makes managing me & my family’s healthcare & records so much easier. Everything at my fingertips. Can also message my doctor directly which is a plus.

### 5/5 — Finally, all my tests in one place

*2018-08-16*

I can finally see the results of my tests without having to log into five different doctor portals. Makes it easier to communicate when a specialist hasn’t updated his chart or I need to see someone new.

### 5/5 — Very useful

*2018-08-16, version 2.8.8*

I love having visibility into multiple EHRs in one place. Managing my family’s medical care this way is also a huge bonus
Ease of use and the ability to speak with MDVIP without calling is great

### 4/5 — Keeping in touch

*2019-05-21, version 2.8.8*

I love that the app lets me communicate securely with my doctor and track my appointments. I also schedule my payments so I can do everything in one place. Sure beats having to call the office all the time.

### 3/5 — Login issues

*2022-10-25, version 3.2.8*

Haven’t need able to log in on the mobile app for months. Login Works on the desktop but repeatedly reloads the log in screen on my iPhone with no explanation. Otherwise app is a little date

### 2/5 — Only messaging

*2024-07-25, version 3.3.6*

Here close to end of July 2024 and the last update was 7 months ago. The messaging app works but feels a bit dated. If the dev team is looking for enhancements, check Kaiser Permanente’s app or perhaps try to be proactive
