## What is Meal Planner AI?

What’s for dinner? Every night, the same question. You open the fridge, stare at it, close it… and order pizza again.
What to Eat ends that loop. Tell it what’s in your fridge and pantry, and it tells you what to cook with what you already have — before it goes bad.
All features are available with a Premium Monthly or Yearly subscription. Both include a 3-day free trial.

What you get with What to Eat Premium:

→ Dinner, already decided.
Open the app and your first question is answered. What to Eat analyzes your pantry, leftovers, and week ahead to suggest the smartest meal — no endless scrolling.

→ A weekly plan that fits real life.
Plan breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for 1, 3, or 7 days. Choose cuisines, mix them, or let AI rotate your favorites. Add sides and desserts for full meals. Filter by cooking style (quick, one-pot, slow cooker, air fryer, batch, no-cook). Drag & drop meals, swap recipes, or reuse leftovers. Your grocery list updates automatically.

→ Stop wasting food (and money).
Households waste over $1,500/year. Track your pantry across multiple categories. Your grocery list fills the gap between your plan and what you already own.

→ AI that knows your kitchen.
Set dietary needs, allergies, budgets, spice levels, and preferences for each person. The app plans with what you actually have. Use “cook-on-hand” mode or reduce ingredient repetition across the week.

→ Your leftovers, reused.
Leftover chicken from Tuesday? It becomes Wednesday’s meal idea. Set expiry reminders to avoid forgotten food.

→ Built for households.
Create up to 10 profiles with dietary rules, preferences, and dislikes. The AI plans for everyone at once.

→ Batch cooking made simple.
Get meals designed to prep once and eat across multiple days.

→ Smarter eating over time.
See your most-used ingredients, spot patterns, and get seasonal alternatives — without effort.

→ Build the habit.
Log meals in one tap. Track planned vs. actual. Stay motivated with streaks, challenges, and badges.

• AI meal planner (1, 3, or 7 days.) AI usable 35 times/month

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.2 — 2026-07-19

This update makes your meal plans smarter about your household's needs, and puts you in even more direct control.

What's new:
- Meal plans now personalize using every household member's allergies, foods to avoid, and favourite ingredients, including custom ones you type in yourself, not just presets. Add custom allergies right from the profile editor.
- See what a plan will cost: an estimated weekly and per-meal grocery range on the Generate screen, plus an "Estimate cost" button on any meal for a rough per-serving figure.
- Build a plan by hand: the "Fill in manually" option now also asks whether you want a full menu or just the main meals.
- Add any saved recipe or leftover to any day of any plan, not just the current week.
- Remove a meal or course from a day completely, or add back a starter, side, dessert, or a whole breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snack that wasn't in your plan.
- Generate a single starter, side, or dessert with AI on its own, instead of a whole extra meal.
- Moving a meal or course to another day with the Move button is smoother and more reliable, and moved dishes keep their correct label.
- A tidier grocery list and smarter pantry: repeated ingredients combine into one line, more items sort into the right section, and the pantry checkbox works both ways.

We've also updated our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use: more of your household's dietary information, including custom entries you type, can now be sent to our AI provider to personalize your plans. Free text sent to our AI is now scanned for obvious personal information first, as a best effort. Please review the updated documents in Settings.

Thanks for using What to Eat!

### 1.3.1 — 2026-07-14

->More reliable meal plan generation: Fixed issues that could cause plan generation to time out or come back incomplete, generating a week should now succeed consistently.
->Fixed a plan-visibility bug: Generating two weeks back-to-back could make one of them disappear from Home or the Plan tab. Every saved plan now stays visible and selectable on both.
->See every plan at a glance: New toggle at the top of the Plan tab, switch to "All Plans" to browse, open, and reorder every saved week, not just the current one.
->Bug fixes, UI and UX optimizations
->We've updated our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
