It offered me 10% to download the app and the app doesn’t work. I am using valid cards with the correct information and enough funds. Frustrating. Do not recommend - just go to the restaurant instead. There isn’t any way to contact support or ask for help, and DoorDash won’t do anything because it’s third party. It was asking for my email address on the checkout page, but ai received an error message that my email was being used for another account. I literally made up an email address in order for it to work. They also don’t show a map of where the delivery vehicle is. I really like that feature. I am not in a place that is easy to find, and I meet delivery drivers on the sidewalk. That is going to be extremely difficult to do now. I doubt their delivery times in the app are at all accurate. I didn't have a menusifu account, and although the login page says you can sign up for one, you actually can't. There's no option to create an account, so I created one through their website, verified my email, and then tried to sign into the app but got an error about an incorrect email or password for the account I just created (and I know they were typed correctly). I thought I'd try to reset my password with the "forgot password" link, but no email was ever sent. I finally gave up and just called the restaurant. Please test every bit of functionality before releasing your app to the public. ### 1/5 — How do I create an account? *2024-01-29, version 1.9.10* The app only supports a login flow, not a signup flow. I even created an account on my web browser at menusifu.com but email verification fails with an error and I can’t login. 🤦🏻‍♂️ ### 1/5 — Worst app ever *2024-01-04, version 1.9.9* Tried to download it to order from my favorite restaurant and every time I was trying to pay the bill it kept denying my credit card. I used three different credit cards and it was giving me the same issue. Then when I went to reset my password, it wouldn’t send me a reset link. This is garbage. I know I never will again! ### 1/5 — Ripoff *2025-07-10, version 1.9.170* In addition to the scam convenience fee they force a 20% tip on every purchase you make. This is despite the fact that you have to go pick it up yourself. The new business model “steal what you can when you can“. On top of that, when I got to the restaurant to pick up the food I learned at the restaurant provided weekly specials, which were not identified on meal key in any way shape or form. As a result between the convenience fee, the force tip, and the failure to apply the offered discount. My bill was $20 more expensive than had. I just called the restaurant directly. In my opinion, that is no small amount. Interestingly when I mention this to the restaurant, they said I should call and not use mealkey. take that for what it’s worth. ### 1/5 — Watch out the tips! *2025-06-25, version 1.9.170* Watch out where tips are! The default choice is 15%. And the tips choice is at the very very end, after the total 🤣. It worked fine; the discount was auto-applied, I was able to pay with Apple Pay, and the points from that purchase are still in my account. Points are only valid for 6 months and then they expire, but you took over 6 months and still haven't deposited my points. Points system feels like a scam. Other than that I only ever order from the same restaurant a couple times a year (5-7 times). Have not even had a chance to use my points to see what benefit it does for me. ### 4/5 — Great Ordering App *2021-09-28* Does not accept Apple Pay, nor does it allow dark mode. Otherwise works fine. Edit: Two days after I wrote this review, the developer came out with an update adding Apple Pay as a payment method. That’s either crazy coincidence, or amazing attention to customer feedback. To add some more detail, this app is easy to navigate and seamless to use. ### 3/5 — Works but is frustrating *2025-02-22, version 1.9.170* The app is alright once you can get the restaurant into it. Signed up from local Chinese food restaurant, via their web. Downloaded the app thinking that I would be able to add the restaurant to a favorite or see my order status and nothing showed up in the app other than order history.
