Features:
• Personal calorie and macro goals
• Voice food logging
• Photo food recognition
• AI nutrition assistant
• Custom meals and products
• Weight tracking and progress
• Daily nutrition insights

MealLoop is designed to make calorie tracking simple, fast and personalized.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.9 — 2026-08-21

The target weight is now always calculated from your real weight, and not from an abstract height band — so it will never show a number higher than what is on the scales now, of course, unless the goal is mass/muscle gain and the deficit finally reacts to how much excess weight there is, and not the same percentage for everyone.

For new users, the application now suggests which goal is most suitable — it calculates according to the BMI formula and immediately highlights the recommended option. But this is just a hint, not a limitation: you can choose any other goal if you think differently.

At the same time — a new water tracker.

Many wrote that the water tracker is missing, so I added it. A simple card on the main screen with a guideline for your weight and activity — tapped once, and it recorded the usual portion.

You can set your standard volume or record a one-time atypical amount if you drank more or less than usual. in the "progress" there is also a small water graph next to the calories.

and some smaller changes:

• fixed the calculation of the time to the goal - previously the application could promise a result faster than it was physically possible
• also synchronized the slider with the keyboard, you can continue to record as a keyboard without problems
• a few small fixes in the appearance settings

### 1.0.8 — 2026-08-17

most importantly — I started building my own product database. open food facts quite often pulled false data (calories, BJV did not coincide with reality), so I decided: I will fill it in personally, manually, with verified products — so that the database is one that can be trusted.

so that it does not turn into flour — I added label scanning: you point the camera at the nutritional value label, and the data is pulled up by itself, you do not need to enter everything manually. I also added sugar, saturated fats and salt — for now, all this is stored in the database, in the near future I will neatly display it on the screen. There is a lot of and monotonous work ahead — to convey these values to all the products that are already in the database, and to structure the names properly. It will take time, but I will bring it to my ideal.

a few minor improvements at the same time:

fixed the search in Ukrainian — "snickers", "nutella", "cola" are now found just as well as in English
added a barcode icon right in the search bar — it's immediately clear that the product can be scanned
new way to specify quantity — instead of a keyboard, a smooth slider with grams/milliliters
the keyboard adapts to the application theme (no longer black on a light background)
removed minor jumps and delays in product add cards

### 1.0.7 — 2026-08-10

What's new:
• Apple Health integration — your calorie target now factors in real activity (steps, workouts), not just your questionnaire answers
• Body measurements — track changes in your measurements and body composition over time
• Transparent calorie breakdown — see exactly what makes up your daily target
• Bug fixes and stability improvements

### 1.0.6 — 2026-07-30

— fixed calorie calculation for meals:
calories are now counted from raw ingredients,
  cooked weight is entered manually

— recipe assistant now automatically picks
  raw ingredient variants

— added 50+ drinks: raff, latte, matcha,
  iced coffee, protein shakes, smoothies

### 1.0.4 — 2026-07-25

Smarter meal photo recognition

The "Estimate" mode now shows the full breakdown of a meal, not just the calorie count:

See recognized ingredients and their grams right on the confirmation card, before saving
Remove an ingredient the AI got wrong with a single tap
More accurate macros — where possible, values come from your own food database
Clear labels showing what was recognized precisely vs. estimated
Fixed a mismatch between the number on the confirmation card and the logged entry
Plus a faster onboarding flow and food database cleanup.
