## What is MealSpec?

You went to that restaurant a year ago. You know you liked something there — you just can't remember what. Was it the shakshuka or the lamb? Wasn't one of the dishes far too spicy? So you order blind again, in a place you'd already figured out once.

MealSpec is the small notebook that fixes this.

RATE IT, THEN JOT IT DOWN
Give the place one to five stars, then write a line or two while it's fresh. Every restaurant has three notes waiting for you:

Private, just for you: "lamb skewers — ask for less spicy next time"
Friends, for the people you trust: "get the shakshuka, skip the dessert"
Public, for everyone on MealSpec: "great brunch, slow service"

Fill in one, two or all three. No forms, no long reviews — just what you'd tell yourself, your friends, or anyone who asked.

ADD A PLACE IN SECONDS
MealSpec finds the restaurants around you, so most of the time you simply tap the one you're sitting in. If it isn't listed, type the details yourself and the app works out where it is.

FIND IT AGAIN LATER
Browse every restaurant as a list sorted by distance, or on a map centred on where you are. Search by name, or filter down to the places you've rated or written about — your stars show at a glance.

YOU DECIDE WHO SEES WHAT
Your private note is visible only to you. Your friends note is visible only to the friends you've connected with in the app. Your public note and your rating are visible to everyone signed in to MealSpec. There's no feed to perform for and no advertising.

COMPARE NOTES WITH PEOPLE YOU TRUST
Open any restaurant to see how others rated it, what your friends wrote about it, and what anyone chose to share publicly.

MealSpec is a notebook first. The private note is for the things you'd never post publicly but always wish you could remember.
