### 2/5 — This is very sensitive and temperamental and for what?

It’s good and it’s readily available, but I was trying to do data collection for one of my methods in my Geography NEA Coursework on urban microclimates, but it’s very difficult because it just chooses not to cooperate with me - sometimes I won’t even move it and it comes up with “Device must be stationary to measure wind” even if it’s on a flat surface. If you move it even a fraction of a centimetre, it comes up with that - I think high wind affects it also. Something I’ve also found with this app is that wind gusts are certainly very difficult to measure using this, especially when going by the minute, since it takes more than 5-10 seconds to measure the wind properly, and during that time, there were wind gusts.

**Developer response:** So…you know how Apple’s ECG app takes a while to measure and report a reading? This app is no different - it’s literally like taking an ECG of the wind, and it takes a few seconds as the app’s countdown bar indicates. And yes, like the ECG app, your device has to be stationary to get an accurate reading. Older iPhones will report that they are moving even when they’re not, and there’s nothing I can do about that (except to suggest upgrading). I’m happy to help further at info@bogbridges.com

The app is easy to use.  I have to figure out if there is a history feature.

**Developer response:** Thank you! There is indeed a wind history feature...just tap on the clipboard icon at the bottom of the screen. It will take you to a wind history screen that displays wind history recorded over the past 48 hours. Having an anemometer on your iPhone is next level. Simply easy to use and accurate plus add free what more do you need! Thanks for such a great app! I am confident the developer will only continue to support the apps and even come up with special ones like Alti-Baro that is simply the best app for weather nerd on the App Store.

Another excellent app from Bog Bridges!  Hear the wind howling outside and I can easily get an accurate measure of average and max wind speeds. I am very impressed.  Good support as well. Well worth checking out this app as well as the others.

No other app works like this one, measuring wind gust estimates and keeping the user updated on the iPhone or the watch. You don’t even need an internet connection. Uncannily accurate
