The measurements were off anywhere from 0.5” to 2” even though I followed directions and tried multiple techniques. I would not count on this even for rough measurements. ### 2/5 — Frustrating *2018-01-29* Settings won't change correctly. Horizontal measurements unavailable. Vertical measurements read as "distance".... It’s tell me that two points on my carpet are 5” apart. They are 3 feet apart! **Developer response:** Thanks Perspicacious for downloading and using our app. We are sorry to hear your first experience was not what you expected. For the best results we suggest you position your phone 1-2 feet away from where you set your points. What’s more surprising is how many people thought this app would actually work… How the heck are you supposed to measure some thing based off of an image? Since every camera makes things look a different size, it’s shocking that so many people expected this to be in point accurate. Of course it’s going to be off a little bit LOL. Only critical remark is when you go into settings there's no way or that I'm aware of. I needed to measure how wide a piece of furniture was while shopping in a store and this app was perfect for the job. It was fast and extremely simple to use. I pointed it at one side of the couch then the other and bam I had what I needed to make a decision and make my purchase. I saw a few other apps in the store too and downloaded some others thinking I may need more and was surprised how so many of the other apps were just plain junk. The ones that were good rather were too costly for my simple measuring needs or had so many features I didn’t even know where to start. For those who say this app isn’t accurate (none of them are precise 😁) they all had the same challenges. You have to place your starting and ending points by actually getting as close to the spot you want to start and finish your measurement. You can’t just stand in one spot and point at something off in the distance and expect it to work. Great job Lowe’s I love your stores and your shopping app. Thanks for the new tool on my 📱. ### 5/5 — Fun app for measuring! *2017-09-25* It’s not 100% accurate but this a really fun app to get rough dimensions or measure between two items. ### 5/5 — Simple. If you can adjust it just by the smallest amount it will be perfect. Not going to replace a tape measure for professionals (yet), but for things like furniture shopping etc. where being within a couple of inches is good enough, this is great. Just be sure to read the tips in the settings so you know how to get the best results. A couple of suggestions for the devs: add a “flashlight” feature to the measure screen so the app can be used in dimmer areas.
