### 4/5 — Feedback

*2026-08-27, version 5.1.0*

Feedback for possible app feature: One challenge is tracking which block is which and which probe goes with what block during a multi-probe cook. Something that might help - particularly now that only connected blocks display in unknown order - is to allow the user to name each block and display the name in the interface display. That way you know which displayed block is which. Also, the prior numbered clips for the old probes were helpful, but are not available for the thinner, newer probes. This would be helpful as well. Thanks.

### 2/5 — Recent update broke it

*2026-08-26, version 5.0.0*

The most recent update unpaired my device and now I can’t re-pair it

### 2/5 — MEATER 2 Poor charging info

*2026-08-23, version 5.0.0*

Great product when it works. But app doesn’t provide charging data. Should be an easy fix and would make this a good product

### 2/5 — They don’t listen to suggestions

*2026-08-21, version 5.0.0*

The temperature probes are great. The app not so much. I’m cooking three of the same thing, why do I have to put it in three times and get the warning for grilling three times! Come on update the app!!!

### 3/5 — App’s alright. Product performance is not

*2026-08-19, version 5.0.0*

Yes. It’s a good app. The link,“connection”, between app and probe is intermittent. That means it works about half the time. Troubleshooting points to operator error. Spend more on the connection than on the app development.

### 4/5 — JUST ONE CHANGE PLEASE

*2026-08-16, version 5.0.0*

I love this thing, use it all the time. But I HATE the constant beeping. I turned off notifications for the app but somehow it still beeps. I’ll be cooking and listening to a podcast or music and every 5-10 seconds I hear a beep indicating a change of temp. I DONT NEED TO BE NOTIFIED EVERYTIME MY MEAT GOES UP A DEGREE. It’s so incredibly annoying

### 2/5 — Keeps disconnecting

*2026-08-11, version 5.0.0*

When the thermometer connects, it’s a great product. Had for less than a year however and the thermometer connects to the app maybe 50% of the time. No rhyme or reason to why it gets disconnected or how it reconnects

### 2/5 — Battery

*2026-08-10, version 5.0.0*

The battery in this thing never last and the charge is always gone when I go to use it.

### 1/5 — waste of money

*2026-08-09, version 5.0.0*

thing doesnt work after a few uses. save your money.

### 3/5 — Latest app has no settings

*2026-08-09, version 5.0.0*

It was great but I don’t have options for setting on the latest upgrade.. hmm

### 1/5 — Meater 2 - dreadful

*2026-08-09, version 5.0.0*

Connecting and pairing are virtually impossible. Constantly disconnecting, and probe wont pair. Multiple calls to the help line suggest it is most likely a ‘cleaning issue with the probe.’

Don’t waste your money, and avoid.

### 1/5 — Not good

*2026-08-08, version 5.0.0*

Never stays connected

### 1/5 — Bad App

*2026-08-08, version 5.0.0*

Stupid app is warning Ilover temperature. But there is no way to turn the warning off. Even closing the app doesn’t help. Weak application. Very bad

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Don’t Buy

*2026-08-27, version 5.1.0*

This probe never holds a charge, even with new batteries. I would not buy it again.

### 1/5 — Constantly loses connection

*2026-08-25, version 5.0.0*

This thermometer constantly loses connection in the middle of cooks. Cooking a brisket now and have to close app and reconnect to see current temperature. I have resorted to just checking with thermopen.

### 1/5 — App update broke it

*2026-08-23, version 5.0.0*

Last update cleared my devices and won’t show up, yet an older app version is fine.

### 1/5 — Poor connection

*2026-08-22, version 5.0.0*

The probes constantly lose connection even if within 2 feet of the block. We have the 4 blocks and number 2 hardly ever connects and, if it does, it drops the connection so often it’s not even worth using.

### 1/5 — Unreliable

*2026-08-21, version 5.0.0*

Only works occasionally!

### 1/5 — Constant disconnection despite new quality battery

*2026-08-18, version 5.0.0*

Title essentially. Designed to fail via enshtfcation like anything else.

### 1/5 — Unreliable

*2026-08-16, version 5.0.0*

This has been the most expensive probes I have ever used and they never work correctly or consistently. The app always disconnects, the probes don’t hold charge, even charging them over night before a cook. I would not recommend these at all.

### 1/5 — Frustrated

*2026-08-15, version 5.0.0*

I just wish it would work!

### 1/5 — New app is horrible

*2026-08-15, version 5.0.0*

This new app is horrible. Prove has lost its connect which was fine and now it won’t pair to app and is virtually useless

### 1/5 — Trash

*2026-08-13, version 5.0.0*

Haven’t had it a year and it doesn’t connect anymore

### 5/5 — Best I have used

*2026-08-16, version 5.0.0*

This is an excellent way to obtain a perfect cooking of your meat and, at the same time, put food safety first. As a bonus, it it extremely easy to use. I highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Meter Block

*2026-08-07, version 5.0.0*

Great product!!!!! When it works had a old version worked great my fault forgot it rain. Purchased new meter block for Christmas battery doesn’t last but maybe….. one cook

### 5/5 — Always Perfect

*2026-08-05, version 4.6.5*

I’ve been using the Meater thermometer for several years now, with various meats and cuts, and each time the food is grilled to our desired temperature.

### 5/5 — Wonderful part of my cooking arsenal!

*2026-08-04, version 4.6.5*

Taking the guesswork out of the cook is such a nice feature! I will buy more of these for my cooking toolkit and as gifts!

### 5/5 — The Best Product on the Market

*2026-08-02, version 4.6.5*

The meater is the perfect tool for smoking. I have been smoking meat for 7 years and never got a brisket or pork butt up to 203 degrees until I got the Meater, which monitors the temperature at the grate, not at the top of the WSM smoker. I give it my highest recommendation.
