## What is meat°it?

"You no longer want to choose between spending time with your guests or in the kitchen? Choose meat°it!

Easy to use and self-explanatory, you can launch your favorite cooking mode with just a couple of clicks and simultaneously monitor the core temperature as well as the cooking speed (slow, fast, extinction of the coals, contact with flames, etc.) for your meat, fish and poultry dishes. The remaining cooking time is automatically calculated so that you can spend the most time possible with your guests. 

You can also select from pre-programmed cooking options or define your own.

Is your dish perfectly cooked? Then share it! Thanks to the meat°it app, you can share the picture of your dish live and indicate the cooking mode and time as well as the core temperature.

Moreover, you can: 
- Connect up to 4 probes simultaneously: is one piece of meat being cooked in the oven and another on the barbecue? No problem! Monitor how the cooking of each is progressing using your smartphone up to a range of 65 feet (20 m) — and make use of many more features via the WiFi relay
- Set a timer to remind you when it is time to turn the meat, for example

### 1/5 — Immediately loses connection

Don’t waste your money on this. It doesn’t stay connected. It was even telling me that the probe was too far out of range when the probe was in the same hand as my phone. Restarted everything, and it seem to connect, but even before I got a chance to put the probe in the meat, it disconnected and would not reconnect. Waste of money, waste of time.

Can’t even rate the probe, you can’t create an account. Easy mode says firmware update for the probe and it fails every time. Login with Facebook, google, and Apple don’t go further into the app and creating a login or trying to login buttons don’t work. Never got to use product. Returning probe that I can’t use.

App simply does not work unless you use the “easy sign in” thermometer also wont stay connected if it’s in a grill. Awful product. Horrible experience

One of those devices that just won’t work with my iPhone.  I spent 30 minutes running through opening my settings, turning on and off Bluetooth.  This app and device are horrible.

### 2/5 — No Updates is the Real Issue

Unlike most of the reviewers, mine actually works and connects fine and I’ve had it for a few years. The real issue is that there are no updates to fix issues users report.

So for me, there is no time estimate for when the cook will be done. I see it in pics, but mine never shows that.

I’d also really like to be able to re-establish a connection with the probe mid-cook. But instead you need to start the cook over.

Notifications on iOS don’t seem to be like any other app notifications. I want them on my watch even with my phone locked in my pocket. I have yet to get this working correctly.

Supporting portrait mode shouldn’t be too hard so I can stand my device up. But nothing yet.

So, the only updates that seem to happen are the ones that enable the app to remain in the App Store as iOS and iPadOS crank along.

The thermometer may be great, but this app hasn’t been updated for over a year now and has nothing but bugs. 

Keeps saying needs a firmware update (which fails, but you can bypass anyway)

Can’t set manual temps higher than 189 (need 205 for brisket)

Unfortunately I can’t support what could be a great a produce with a less than useful app. 

If you are just looking to measure some basic steaks, roasts, or fish you might be okay though.

This probe seems legit. However it constantly looses its connection. And then when you try to reconnect it, ir won’t work. Because it needs to re-dock with the base. But it’s in the grill or oven. So you can take it out, flaming hot and try to reconnect it.  Way way way to complicated and not easy to use! Stay away.
