It is easy to use and shows statistics for your Peadiatrician but it regularly logs you out, experienced errors and disconnects from the pump or randomly stops tracking breastfeeding, meaning sessions are not accurately tracked. Medela team has been emailed and acknowledged, but the bugs remain a big downfall for this app. ### 2/5 — Can be so much better *2026-05-12, version 6.8.202* I have been using for 6 months now and it is fine for basic tracking. Would be so much better if you could put the start and end time for naps/feeds rather than having to work out how long they were. It’s easy to cancel just by accidentally pressing the wrong button due to its placement.No options for actual food tracking when you get to weaning age. Would be good if you could personalise the layout of the icons to ones you use more. The tracking of the pump is very frustrating as it doesn’t always connect to the pump first time. The “plus” button is in a very annoying place as I end up opening the option behind it daily or whatever tracking is currently in progress. However, it starts a new pumping timer on its own every time I open the app. I haven’t used my pump for weeks and it still opens a new timer every time I open or use the app. It also sometimes freezes and deletes my breastfeeding timers before I’m able to save them. I have an iPhone 16 and the Medela freestyle pump. ### 2/5 — Could be great *2026-05-11, version 6.8.202* Update: I’m using an iPhone 17 and the Medela Swing Maxi. I love that this app connects to my pump, especially because my pump doesn’t show how long a session lasts. However, this is the glitchiest app I’ve ever used. After a pumping session and after closing the app, it will still show an active session/timer on my phone. Even when pump is turned off. I don’t know why or how it’s running in the background like that, especially because that feature doesn’t work when I am actually pumping. I think the app is trying to do too much. Simplify the content and fix the basic features and it would be great. ### 3/5 — Good app for basics, still progress to be made *2026-04-26, version 6.8.202* Some recommendations to get this app the most functional for the user and be 5* would be: - allow a manual pump to be saved and recorded, even if your Bluetooth is connected to the pump. Sadly even if you have pumped 6 hours ago, if the Bluetooth is connected you cannot do it. - add a manual notes section for the day. Some people like myself use this app every day to record all of my babies activities. I would love for there to be a small notes section for myself to record things such as temperature, medication etc. - it defaults to PST rather than the country you are in. Useful ones too. Especially love the pumping and breastfeeding tracker… super simple and easy to log amounts and see stats at a glance. Also love the built in time feature that works with live activities and Dynamic Island. The only thing I haven’t loved about it is that it tends to sometimes take a long time to load… or crashes… and after using it consistently for several days, it locked me out. I uninstalled and reinstalled, tried creating a new account, tried signing in with Apple, etc, and it would say it was loading them would default back to the login/start screen without fail. Finally uninstalled and started using a different tracking system. It constantly freezes, the timer randomly stops running and returns to zero, and it’s not intuitive at all. The first time I opened the app, it loaded a bunch of pump sessions that aren’t mine and seemingly can’t be removed no matter how many times I delete them. When you want to write down an observation that is unrelated to any of the options you can select to track (pumping, feeding, diaper, etc..), there is no way to write it down into the diary. For example if you measured the baby’s temperature and you want to write it down, or if the baby had some symptoms, like for example it was screaming from colic. Of course you want to write this information down in the diary, so later on you remember what happened exactly when on the day. You should also add the option to add temperature readings into the diary tracker. Please pass this on to the product development team, so they can work on this. It should be a very small change for them to make, but will really improve the usefulness of the App very much, as it will become a more comprehensive tracker of the baby’s day.
