### 5/5 — Very useful

*2018-08-05, version 2.32.4*

I have used this app constantly for the last 5 years and find it a great help.

### 5/5 — Does it all - brilliant!

*2018-06-08, version 2.32.4*

This app really does manage to do everything I want in a medication reminder app. It is easy use and yet contains features that mean it will deal with my complicated regime without a hiccough.
The developer is great at responding to queries and the app is regularly improved with updates, some of which I suggested - so he listens, too.
Beats all the others hands down.

### 5/5 — Very effective app

*2018-05-24, version 2.32.4*

Once setup this app is very helpful. It takes some time to refine the settings to suit my schedule of medicines. I would recommend it to others and I have successfully used it for a while and have rarely missed my pills

### 5/5 — excellent

*2018-05-22, version 2.32.4*

I've tried a lot of the pill-taking programs. All have some missing feature that stops them being so useful for me.

This one is exactly right. It allows me to add all my timed and ad-hoc medicines. It reminds me about taking too many paracetamol in a 24 hour period. etc.

### 5/5 — RN loves it for himself

*2018-05-19*

I’m a registered nurse and have worked with medication management for many years. I have a couple of prescription meds I take now, and I also like to track over the counter Meds I take. It is important to tell your doctor or nurse what you’re taking and when. It helps to have a reminder and this app is an excellent choice for reminding, tracking, and letting you know if you might be taking too much (among many other features). Look into this app, it is the best one I could find and I tried plenty.

### 3/5 — Great app with learning curve

*2018-05-13*

Really like the app once I finally got the hang of it. It really took some patience magnifying glass to read all the help screens, font is way to tiny. Lots of choices in ways to enter your medicine.
After finding out that the person who wrote the app is now retiring. Also it will cost now. Besides all that it took a long time to finally get the app corrected. So now I am saying that I’m frustrated.

### 5/5 — Fantastic App

*2018-05-12, version 2.32.4*

The best app I have ever used for anything. It has been a life saver for me having to remember to take at least 3 medications a day at various times. It really has made my life so much easier from this respect. So sad Bob is retiring and it will no longer get developed but I totally understand why especially after the recent 11.2 issues. Must have been so stressful. Was worth far more than £3.99 let alone £0.99 even unsupported.

If you need to take medication on a regular basis, get this app, even now. It’s fantastic at what it does, easily 5 stars and more.

### 5/5 — Great app for allergy sufferers

*2018-04-21*

I have been using Medi-Prompt for 2-3 years because I take a variety of meds for allergies. It’s easy to use and reassuring
that the right amount of drugs are being used. The latest version has had helpful improvements that has enhanced the app.
The app comes with a section containing answers to FAQ’s. If this FAQ section doesn’t answer and you still need help customer service is always ready to help.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2018-04-10*

Have used this app for at least two years. There is really nothing comparable. Flexible enough for anyone’s med schedule but very easy to use. I highly recommend it!

### 5/5 — APP Fully updated

*2018-03-29, version 2.32.4*

I was waiting for an update to push this to a Five Start APP. It is now THE App for keeping track of meds.
I won't be looking back.

### 5/5 — Medi-Prompt is fantastic

*2018-03-17, version 2.31.1*

I have been using this app since April 2013 and it has never let me down. Always there with the reminders of when to take my medication and also telling me when I’m getting low on any of me medication. When there has been a problem with the app, it is quickly addressed and a solution applied. Well done to the Medi-Prompt team for a well designed app and the most useful on my iPhone.

### 5/5 — Useful. :)

*2018-03-15, version 2.31.1*

Very useful app. Easy to use. Love it :)

### 5/5 — Wouldn't be without it now!

*2018-03-09, version 2.31.1*

I’ve had this since it came out, gets better and better all the time. Tech support answers within 24hrs, great service.
This does everything I could ask of a medication prompt, even down to remind me to re-order.
You won’t regret using this app.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2018-03-04, version 2.30*

I have been using this app now for almost 6 years.
Medi-Prompt removes the worry of remembering times, doses, when to re-order etc. and much more. Whether you take a mixture of medications, or only one, get it now - you won't regret it.
Good support too!

### 5/5 — Excellent for tracking "as-needed" meds!!

*2017-11-29*

I love my Medical-Prompt app and have used it for several years. It is the best app I have found to help me keep track of the medicines I take on an "as-needed" (PRN) basis. I recommend it for anyone and set it up for my mother and aunt to use as well as my teenage children. As they gain independence it has helped them track items as simple as Tylenol or as complex as narcotics after surgery. I appreciate is as I don't have to remember when I took my last dose or if it is too soon to take the next. My pain Doctor always asks when my last dose of several meds was and all I have to do is open the app and show them the log. I LOVE IT and highly recommend it to anyone looking to track their medications.

### 5/5 — Simple and does its job well.

*2017-09-21*

This app really keeps me on track and compliant with treatments. The bigger impact has been with the exportable logs - it has made all the difference in my patient-physician relationships. It has allowed me to describe usage patterns clearly and demonstrate responsibility and accountability in this age of overuse and abuse.

Establishing effective communication and trust is critical when advocating for your own healthcare and no one else will do it for you. Medi-Prompt puts that information in my control and, most importantly, the information stays ON MY DEVICE.

Although there are times that it would be useful to sync this across multiple devices, we *need* to have the option to protect our privacy and I’m thankful I have the choice.

### 5/5 — Perfect For My Needs!!

*2017-07-22, version 2.21*

I'm one of those men who forgets taking his meds. This App works great! Plus, I don't have to hear the wife, did you take your meds? 😊

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Full of bugs

*2018-08-07, version 2.32.4*

This app constantly crashes and shows data on top of data, meaning you have to quit the app and then reload every time you want to see when you can take something again.

Was a great app and then with a recent update has made it slow and impossible to use.

### 1/5 — Glitchy and NOT user friendly

*2018-08-03*

Can’t believe I actually purchased this app. Tried to input data and in their message section to users, each time there would be two messages (from a previous med I tried to add)overlaid on top of each other so it’s illegible. So frustrating not being able to read anything, I refuse to keep exiting and re-opening the app only to find that it had the same problem. SAVE YOUR MONEY; this app is a waste of time. Medisafe worked like a dream in comparison to this mess.

### 1/5 — Massive disappointment

*2017-06-24, version 2.21*

Having just been discharged from hospital with a lot of new medicines I was looking forward to having an app to remind me when meds were due and to make sure I'd left enough of a gap between doses. It did none of this. I had antibiotics that needed taking 3 times a day but you can't put that as an option (only the hours between doses) and because I woke up late it just scheduled 2 doses in the day meaning I'd have missed a dose.

Likewise I'm on as required painkillers, I went through all the gaps on the form to set it up and told it I'd taken them but then when I accidentally told it I'd taken a second dose after only an hour it didn't flag up a warning or say it was a problem, so I tested it and told it I'd taken some every 10 minutes it only alarmed when I reached the 4 doses I can have in a day.

This isn't safe

### 1/5 — Worthless as an overnight alarm - only uses system sound not alarms

*2017-01-29*

The app is not bad albeit a bit cumbersome to set up - fair enough I finally got it working but the only notifications I get are the faint system sound a banner makes . Impossible to use overnight as it's too easy to sleep through it. Without being able to use actual IOS alarm ring tones this app is useless.

**Developer response:** There are many notification sounds built in to Medi-Prompt, many of which are loud. Scroll down to 'PROMPTS', 'Alerts' on the medication record to hear and experiment with the wide range of tones available. Otherwise feel free to contact me and I will help.

### 1/5 — unsuitable for people with adrenal insufficiency

*2016-12-20, version 2.21*

unfortunately this app is unsuitable because it cannot cope if you split a tablet in half.

As an adrenal insufficiency patient I take a 10mg tablet on waking, then half a 10mg tablet at noon and again at 18:00.

The only way to register this was to add each different dose as a new medication.

Not suitable for my condition.

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2016-11-16, version 2.21*

This app is rubbish.. it want too much info and does not work properly may works in U.S but definitely not U.K.  Wasted 2:99 on this app and very disappointed..;

### 1/5 — Ripoff

*2016-03-10, version 2.21*

You need a degree to work this thing , waste of money because it doesn't remind you when to take your pills

### 1/5 — Really Complicated

*2014-12-05, version 2.11*

I should have paid more attention to the one negative review complaining about how complicated this is. This is so convoluted, I suspect the positive reviews were written by the developers. I not only would like a refund, but I would like compensated for the time I wasted on this.

### 1/5 — Amazingly confusing

*2014-10-20, version 2.11*

Given the good reviews I expected ease of use and simplicity, but didn't get either. Just trying to set up a single prescription pill to be taken at 7am daily seemed way over-complicated. User interface glitchy on my iPhone 6 - lots of bad animations and occasionally overlapping text. Deleted within 10 minutes in favor of a couple other (free) apps with more intuitive design. This was money wasted unfortunately.

### 2/5 — Great app and very useful BUT....

*2020-02-28, version 2.32.5*

It is spoiled by the reminder repeat alarm prompt. Can’t find a way to turn off this feature as the repeat alarm keeps going off after the medication dispensation time has been reached/passed and medications given to patient.
I have been unable to turn off the alarm and attempts to do so are met with a message the 0 (zero) seconds is not applicable. I wish to have the alarm alert me just once at the time meds are due and do not wish to have a repeat alarm “nag” me to (re-)administer the meds after the patient has been given their timed dosage.
Because of this “nag” I [sadly and reluctantly] have had to uninstall an otherwise excellent app. 😥😪

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Extremely functional ...

*2025-04-12, version 2.32.5*

I came on today for a new pain app as this one keeps crashing and won’t allow me to add more medications.
I am so relieved to see this app will continue. Please when upgrading the app keep the safety function but allow me more medications.

I’ve been on pain medication for years and for as long as I can remember I’ve used an app to log my entries, I’m super careful because one of my medications can cause overdose extremely easily. However, I had an error where I took the wrong tablets because of having the same shape as the ones I intended to take (when you’re in as much pain as I am you just take them) and I went into potential OD danger. At the A&E they asked me a series of questions that made me realise I’ve often taken too many of this medication because of how I count my timings (I simply go from one day to the next and have even, very naively because I’m not stupid, waited for midnight to take some). We worked out that on some days I take up to four tablets more than I should (that’s 2000mg more than I should and for some people just 500mgs too much can be a problem). No wonder that, of late, my liver had become damaged. Hence, my search for an app that will monitor my 24 hour usage began. And the only one that I could find was this one. I have to say, I hate the interface and overall look, and I’d rather have PDF to email to my doctor. Plus I really don’t need to see the entries that I've deleted on this email record neither. But because it’s the only app I found that monitored my 24 hour usage I had to work with it, and because of lack of choice it has to be the best available. Oh and and another really excellent plus is that I emailed for assistance and customer service is excellent. The author responded really fast and gave a good detail of how to fix what I was struggling with. Thank you. The only reason I’ve dropped a star is because there’s no try out app, so it was a financial risk to try the app, and the interface and overall look isn’t stylish or to my liking. In fact, I think it’s pretty ugly but I do like how I can choose colours (I just don’t like the ones available). I will change my rating to 5 * once then option to email a pdf record, face login, and personal colours, are all available. And when it just looks cleaner maybe with a calendar option. These are just simple gripes because the app really does do what I need it to do and the owner is very responsive in helping out too.

### 5/5 — ‘Simply The Best’

*2023-07-30, version 2.32.5*

I have used this app for many many years, I was so afraid I wouldn’t be able to calculate my meds, times since Bob said he was retiring, I’ve looked at so many so called ‘Medication Apps’, but none have done what Medi-Prompt has done for me. I take 14 different meds a day, it takes care of me, 99° of the time. But quirky problem guys, the alarm doesn’t always sound when it should?? But I even use Clock alarm to give me two minutes ’Heads up’ to take tablets?? Bob wasn’t able to hear theproblems, he deserved his retirement, But something you can possibly look at? Like the song, Simply the best’ Medication App going. One thing, don’t change what ain’t broken guys! Thank you for saving Bob’s creation and I look forward to using it forever. Well, I’m now unable to launch - Medi Prompt , Every time I try to launch the app, it just crashes. You could have left us participating with the App, then make us switch over to the (I presume) a paid app if we wanted too! Give us some slack here guys, we rely on this app, to make sure we’re doing the right thing, when we should?????????? Thank you in anticipation. Fishing 1391

### 5/5 — Flexible and accurate

*2022-10-31, version 2.32.5*

I tried many medication apps before medi prompt. Medi prompt was the first I found that was flexible enough to allow scheduling based on the last time the medication was taken instead of putting in a scheduled time. I rely on it heavily for a complex series of medications, it is great.

### 5/5 — Extremely functional ...

### 5/5 — Medi-prompt

*2020-07-14, version 2.32.5*

Fantastic app ! Such a big help with managing medications. Sad to hear that there won’t be any further updates, but wish you a happy retirement. I wish I could program so it could continue.

### 5/5 — My search is over

*2020-01-12*

There are many apps out there that look fancier but none of them are as flexible in options as this app. It may not look like much but it’s definitely functional. It covers just about every scenario of dosage you can think of. I’ve stuck by it for years. Thanks for sticking around.

### 5/5 — Mandy

*2019-12-08, version 2.32.5*

I’ve been using this app for years now and it is by far the best one available. Fully customisable drug entries and scheduling, comprehensive logs, and invaluable when asked “what medication are you taking?” By other health professionals.
To paraphrase, “does exactly what you want it to do”

### 5/5 — Outstanding!

*2019-03-06*

I’ve been using Medi-Prompt for several years now and I love it! I tried several others before discovering this one and none offered the capabilities of this one. I have a couple chronic conditions necessitating quite a number of medications on a regular basis as well as frequent rounds of short terms meds. This handles them all and reminds me when it’s time to take them. There’s a lot of flexibility built in and customer service is great. Definitely the app for medication tracking.

### 5/5 — Brilliant App 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 if used correctly

*2018-08-21, version 2.32.5*

I have been using this app now for almost a year. I had a brain injury many years ago and find it difficult to remember when I’ve taken tablets or when I next need to take them.
I’ve personally found this app invaluable. It’s become part of my life and I couldn’t be without it. It is quite in depth to set up initially, and took me a while to figure out, but of all the apps I’ve tried over the years this is the one that does the job.
It is a daily / hourly reminder when I must take meds, with alarms, as long as my phone is not on silent, and will warn me if I’m about to take a dose too soon, and even, if I set it that way, remind me when I need to order more. (Stock levels).
I can add in new meds or delete them. If I make a mistake and say I’ve taken something at the wrong time or the wrong med, logs can be deleted.
It’s been really useful also, as I record I can show the doctor, when attending as to how often I’ve needed pain meds.
My only reservation when recommending this app to any user, is it’s very comprehensive, and it will take a while to get the hang of, if you’re possibly older, or not as tech savvy as the young are these days. However, some might argue that that is a plus point - it being so comprehensive!
I most definitely recommend this app if you have a need to keep track of medication, and keep logs of what you take, when, and for what.
Definite 5 Star 🌟

To the developer - Please don’t stop supporting this app, despite wanting to retire... this is the best app in the App Store of its kind. You most definitely achieved what you set out to do. It’s a life saver for me! Thank you for deciding to design this yourself!

### 5/5 — Fantastic App

*2018-08-20, version 2.32.5*

I have been a member of this app for many years now.
I needed to be reminded to take my medication and have a lot of different medication to take at various times of the day.
This app is perfect for doing just that; it has various options available, it allows you to either set regular timed dose reminders, scheduled intervals or even ad hock (p.r.n) options.
You can also set warnings to ensure medication is spaced out safely.
The app allows for other people to have reminders set.
A stock control option is one of the great parts to this app, as it keeps control of stock levels, and can have reminders set up to ensure you are notified in advance when stock is running low.
All in all, this app is like I said before, a fantastic app and I give it 5 stars without any hesitation.
