That’s my complaint’s but it’s an alright app ### 3/5 — Needs some work but love the idea! *2024-12-25, version 4.8.11* I just want to say that this app does exactly what I wanted it to do, and thought it would do. The only thing is when I start a video and add music and then end the video, the music blares and sounds terrible. After a few months of use the useful functions are all locked behind paywalls, and a random bug developed forcing all saved videos to rotate. But now, it has a strange subscription involved with it, and it's really a puzzling thing. There's a mic icon *on the main screen* that doesn't do anything but advertise the subscription service. Remove it. I'm not paying for it, but don't rub it in my face. I'd consider maybe paying for it, if I knew what said mic button actually *did* when paid for, but since even that's behind a paywall, I'm not buying it. Also, I don't get the option to use the ultra-wide or telephoto cameras. It's just another app trying to scheme you into a bogus subscription model. Like, I get it, im an ios/fullstack engineer myself. You deserve to be compensated! That plus it seems like Apple is changing their api's every week so I can fully understand the costs and overhead of maintance. I'd be more than willing to pay for this product. But not for the rest of my life... and I dont want cloud storage either! It'd be easily worth a substantial flat payment. Even like $50-100. Lots of integrations and nice features. Just like adobe went this path too. What an annoying trend. So here is my user experience: I cant export my movie without 'subscribing', cant buy the app. I know ill forget im subscribed and pay for nothing for a while. So im going to use my free trial, export the movie, unsubscribe immediately, and delete the app forever. This is the downside of this trend of 'subscription' based software. They push this sub on you and justify it with a little bit of cloud storage, which they definately data mine and turn around and double down by selling your data... so here is the result: another good app, unusable, and in the trash. This is just terrible business practice. Like I said, its an app going in the trash when id be more then willing to pay a fair price to own it forever (and I wouldnt want stupid cloud features I have plenty of storage and even space on icloud). If people are fine with this, then good for you. There are countless other options so ill pick something else. ### 2/5 — “Camera failure. Please restart session” *2021-07-13, version 4.8.11* Imagine prepping for one moment at the gym, pushing as hard as you can, finally hitting a PR. You hit stop recording then you get an error message saying to restart the camera. You check the cache. Nothing. Gone App only works about 20-30% of the time.
