Patients cannot setup an account on this app! **Developer response:** I'm sorry for the misunderstanding about the purpose of this app. The Medical Alert Connect app is meant to be used by Connect America's Medical Alert device customers for the purpose of monitoring their medical safety devices and administering account settings. ### 1/5 — Terrible waste of time *2023-10-18* DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS APP! This app is utterly useless! I spent 2 days trying to get it to work being on hold with the tech support etc. thinking I could manage my mothers alert equipment and account because she is moving and I needed to change addresses etc. This app will not allow me to do anything. So I am still going to have to call and wait on hold for hours just to make a simple address change. Also apparently I am now being charged on my account $5 per month just to have the privilege of having this useless app on my device? They don’t even tell you this! Robbery. ### 1/5 — Disappointing right out of the gate! *2023-09-19* I just got this app and tried to create a new account. It wouldn’t let me do it from the app. Instead, I was offered the choice of calling them or emailing them. All just to try to do what I expected the app to do itself. I have no clue as to why it won’t allow me to create an account. Also, it doesn’t say anywhere if I need to connect it to another device or if my iPhone will be sufficient for detecting any problems and notifying my emergency contacts. So what do I do now? I only looked it up as a park after seeing someone on Facebook asking about medical alert device advice. I guess this will go into the dustbin of dead apps not to worry about. Still gets ‘device not found’. Called Tec services 4x and was told A. Not trained on app problems only know system. B. Will have to open repair order to send to technical help! This from tec help after I pushed number 4 for technical help. C. Spoke to supervisor Ms Nicole @ extension 0022 and was assured problem is a known issue with new 4G system. Would be repaired within 2 weeks. Did not happen. D. Last call was we are working on issue. This happened over the last 2 months and STILL NOT WORKING.
