## What is Medical Weight Loss?

Roper St. Francis Bariatric Surgery and Medical Weight Loss is one of Bon Secours St. Francis Hospitals’ signature services.

The comprehensive program offers three primary surgical options: Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass, Sleeve Gastrectomy, and Adjustable Gastric Banding. Revisions for patients are also offered. The program offers a non-surgical option with the Orbera balloon.

The program also includes a medical weight loss program, individual or group focused, designed for each patient based on overall health and wellness.

Roper St. Francis Bariatric Surgery and Medical Weight Loss is one of Bon Secours St. Francis Hospitals’ signature services. Each new patient begins with an analysis on our mBCA Seca scale, a metabolic analysis on our ReeVue metabolic analyzer, and a one-on-one consultation. Based on the patient’s body composition and metabolic analysis, specific patient care plans are developed for diet, exercise, and behavioral modification.
