## What is Medication Reminder?

Cadence tracks your medications and shows you how they affect your health. Set up your pills, vitamins or supplements in seconds, get smart reminders that adapt to when you actually take them and discover patterns between what you take and how you feel.

Scan a prescription label to add medications instantly. Swipe to confirm each dose. See how your adherence connects to your sleep, heart rate, blood pressure and 10 other health metrics from Apple Health.

Your data stays on your device and syncs privately via iCloud. No account required, no servers, no ads.

REMINDERS THAT WORK
Smart notifications that learn your timing patterns and adjust automatically. Confirm, skip or snooze from the lock screen without opening the app. Follow-up alerts if a dose is missed. Dose windows that give you flexibility instead of marking you late for being 10 minutes off schedule.

TRACK MORE THAN DOSES
Log mood, energy and symptoms with a quick daily check-in. See which behaviors help and which hurt with behavior impact analysis. Get alerts when your medications may interact with each other. Track your supply and get refill reminders before you run out.

SEE WHAT YOUR MEDICATIONS ARE DOING
Cadence connects your medication adherence to real health data. See correlations between your doses and heart rate, sleep, blood pressure, HRV, blood glucose, weight, respiratory rate and more. View per-medication health timelines showing what changed since you started each one. Generate appointment-ready PDF reports with adherence data, health patterns, skip reasons and timing consistency to share with your doctor.

YOUR JOURNEY
Every dose confirmed carries you further along a visual mountain trail. Watch the seasons shift, hit milestones, earn achievements and share them with friends. See your progress come alive over days, weeks and months.

WORKS WITH YOUR LIFE
Apple Watch app with tap-to-confirm from your wrist. Caregiver sharing so family can check you're on track. Tapering schedule support for medications you're stepping down. Cost tracking per medication. As-needed (PRN) medication logging. Interval dosing for medications taken every few hours.

PRIVACY FIRST
Everything stays on your device. Medications, dose history, health data and journal entries are stored locally and synced via iCloud to your own devices. No third-party servers. No accounts. No tracking. No ads. Drug interaction checks happen on your device using a built-in database. Nothing is sent externally.

### 5/5 — Truly a great app!

*2026-08-10*

Keep track and reminder of your medications in a professional and reliable way. Very recommended!

**Developer response:** Really appreciate the review! Thank you so much :)

### 5/5 — Nice app

*2026-08-05*

I’ve been using it for about a month now and the only thing that I would change is the screen that opens up as you start the app, simply because I don’t know what that number on that screen represents.
I used to use a different app for my medication but this one is so much easier to use, plus you can let the app know how you’re feeling on that particular morning/night.

**Developer response:** Thank you for leaving a review! Glad you are finding Cadence useful.

You can turn off the opening screen in settings > daily welcome screen.

Thanks again!

### 5/5 — The Best Medication Tracker I’ve Ever Used

*2026-07-16*

Cadence is, hands down, the best medication tracker I’ve found. It’s thoughtfully designed, incredibly easy to use, and has become part of my daily routine without ever feeling like another chore.

I love that I can track both my scheduled medications and my as-needed medications with just a tap. It also keeps track of individual dosages and shows me exactly when I last took each medication, which has been incredibly helpful.

One of my favorite features is the daily reflections. They can be as simple as logging your mood and energy level, or you can spend another few seconds adding one good thing, one challenge, and what shaped your day. It takes less than 20 seconds, but over time it creates a much more complete picture alongside your medication history. The calendar view also makes it easy to see at a glance whether you’ve taken your medications, logged symptoms, or completed your reflections.

As someone with AuDHD, my favorite thing is that I was able to set everything up once and then just let the app do its job. It works quietly in the background, and I don’t have to constantly think about managing it.

I also really appreciate that Cadence is a one-time purchase instead of another subscription. For $9.99, you own it for life. Your data stays on your device, and the app doesn’t collect your personal information. Even better, there’s a free trial so you can experience all of the features before deciding whether to buy.

My only suggestion would be a few more widget options. The current widgets work well, but I’d love to see more customization in the future. That said, it’s a very small wish for an app that absolutely earns five stars.

If you’re looking for a medication tracker that’s private, thoughtfully designed, and genuinely helpful, I can’t recommend Cadence enough.

**Developer response:** Wow, so nice to read your review! Very happy that you are finding the app useful. I will explore adding more widgets in a future update. Thanks again! :)

### 5/5 — Merci beaucoup

*2026-07-14*

### 4/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2026-06-03*

Every time I try to scan a label it just sits there like a three year old waiting for you to give it food. When you finally put a new bottle on n front of it, magically it decides to recognize it as the bottle you had been waiting for previously. However, you can’t be certain if it’s going to import all the correct dosage information for the container you just had. The trick here is scanning bottles so you don’t have to enter information manually, otherwise it’s no different than any other app in the field, and at the moment, it’s not better than any of them. If I could get a refund I would.

**Developer response:** Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback.

Improving the scanning feature is something I’m actively working on, and notes like yours help. If you have specific suggestions, the in-app feature request form is the best way to get them to me directly.

For what it’s worth the core app stays free for life, including all logging and tracking, and the Pro trial (7days) is built in so the insights features can be tested before paying. If the app is not the right fit for you despite testing it and then purchasing Pro, Apple can process a refund directly.

All the best.

### 5/5 — The Cadence App Creates a Healthy Daily Rhythm

*2026-05-25*

Cadence is easily one of the best-designed medication reminder apps I’ve ever used. The interface is clean, modern, intuitive, and genuinely enjoyable to interact with. You can tell a huge amount of thought and care went into both the UI and the overall user experience.

What really impressed me is how feature-rich the app is without ever feeling cluttered or overwhelming. Medication scheduling is flexible, reminders are reliable, and the Apple Health integration is fantastic. I also love the privacy-first approach with no unnecessary accounts or subscriptions pushed on you.

The prescription label scanning, lock screen actions, Apple Watch support, and insightful health tracking make this app feel incredibly polished and premium. It solves a real problem in a smart and elegant way.

Highly recommended for anyone who wants a medication reminder app that is both powerful and beautifully designed. Absolutely deserving of five stars!

I just bought an Apple Watch 10. I can't wait to integrate this fantastic app Cadence with my new (first one) Apple Watch.

**Developer response:** Thank you very much for a lovely review. Glad to hear you find the app useful :)

### 5/5 — Fantastic developer support, now an absolute 5-star app!

*2026-05-08*

I originally left a critical review because of several issues, but I’m honestly impressed by how quickly everything was fixed. The developer responded incredibly fast and resolved all the problems I mentioned.

The app is now much cleaner, more organized, and far easier to navigate. The widgets work perfectly now on both the home screen and lock screen, which makes a huge difference in daily use. I also absolutely love the “arriving home” reminder feature.

One small feature request I’d still love to see: in the calendar view, it would be great to have a small red dot or marker on days where I logged medications taken as needed, like Aspirin. That way you could quickly see how often you took certain medications during the month.

Overall though, this app has become an absolute recommendation from me. Great app, fantastic support, and a developer who truly listens to feedback.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review, this is really good feedback. I've started working on some of the bugs you've shared and the UI improvements. Look out for an update soon, and if you have any other improvement suggestions please let me know by submitting a form on the website and I'll review them. :)

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.7.0 — 2026-08-16

Settings is easier to get around

Settings used to be one long scroll. Everything is now grouped into a handful of screens — reminders, home screen, health and tracking, reports, data and privacy — and each one tells you what's inside before you open it. Your reminder status still sits right on the first screen, so you can see at a glance whether iOS is letting your reminders through.

Nothing was removed. Every setting is still there, just easier to find.

Tap Period in Log Cycle and the calendar opens for picking days. Tap all the days of your period, including ones still to come, and save them together. Days you mark ahead show as expected rather than logged, so they don't change your next-period estimate until they actually arrive.

Thank you for the suggestion.

### 1.6.8 — 2026-08-14

What's New

• Take a medicine every day but sometimes need an extra one? You can now log the extra dose, and it won't count against your daily plan. If you want, set a minimum gap or a daily limit and Cadence will tell you when it's too soon, the same way it does for as-needed medicines.

• Logged the wrong symptom, or the wrong time? You can now go back and fix any symptom you've logged, or delete it.

Thanks for your feedback and suggestions.

### 1.6.7 — 2026-08-13

Sort your medications your way

Got a long list? Your medication list now has a Sort by button at the top. Order it alphabetically by name, or keep it in the order you added things. Cadence remembers your choice, so the list looks the way you left it every time you open it.

Thank you for the suggestion

### 1.6.6 — 2026-08-10

You can now edit a symptom you typed yourself

Touch and hold any symptom you added to rename it or remove it.
Renaming corrects it everywhere you have already logged it, so a
typo doesn't sit in your history or get counted as two separate
symptoms.

Insights opens straight away

The Insights tab used to pause for a moment the first time you
opened it each session. It now appears immediately, however much
history you have built up.

Your appointments say how far off they are

Every appointment and scan now reads "in 3 weeks" or "in 6 months"
next to its date, so you can see what is coming without working it
out.

Name an appointment in your own words

Call it "annual checkup" and that is what shows in your list, your
reminder and your calendar. Specialties are in everyday language
now too, so it is "Skin check" rather than "Dermatology", with the
clinical term still shown if you need it for a referral. There is
also a tick to save and close.

Repeat an appointment on any schedule

As well as the usual options you can set any interval you like:
every 6 weeks, every 18 months, every 2 years.

Fixed

A symptom you had just typed could vanish if you tapped it again,
with no way back except typing it out once more.

Reminders for medications set to times like 8:30 could drift later
in the day when smart reminder timing was switched on.

### 1.6.5 — 2026-08-05

Thanks for your feedback and helping improve the app! Here's what's new in this version:

Appointments, scans and tests
Keep your next appointment, scan or check-up in one place, along with the questions you want to ask when you get there. Group them by date or by specialist, get a reminder the evening before and again on the day, add them to your calendar, and take your medication report along.

See where you are in a medication cycle
Medications on a cycle, like 21 days on and 7 days off, now show which day you're on, when the next break starts, and the date the cycle counts from — so you can tell at a glance if it's lined up with your real pack.

More ways to tell your medications apart
Twenty medication icons, up from twelve, including scans, drops, inhalers and supplements. Plus any colour you like, not just the nine presets.

A simpler home screen
New "Simple home" setting strips Today back to the doses you still have to take.

Turn off celebrations
Milestone cards can now be switched off. You'll still earn them, they just won't interrupt you.

Fixes
"Ask my doctor" now appears only when you have an appointment coming up. Medication form names now show in your language. Medications added through the quick-add flow keep the icon you picked.
