Inutile de dire que cela gâche vraiment la fête... et malheureusement, ce bug n'est pas le seul, notamment pour l'application. Best regards, medici.tv team ### 2/5 — Application allergique au français et qui plante sur Apple TV depuis quelques jours *2025-12-16* Depuis quelques jours et suite à mon réabonnement l’application plante systématiquement au bout de quelques minutes de visionnage sur Apple TV (elle semble fonctionner sur iPhone)… la navigation peu fluide oblige de revenir au début des résultats d’une recherche, l’historique n’est pas idéalement placé … beaucoup de documentaires ne sont pas sous titrés en français ce qui gonfle artificiellement. Le catalogue … autant dire qu’on est encore très loin de la moyenne … et pour l’anecdote le logo Medici et son fond sonore apparaît systématiquement dès que vous quittez une vidéo pour y revenir ce qui devient franchement agaçant au bout de 5 ou 6 fois de suite ! **Developer response:** Bonjour, La traduction en français est prévue dans les prochains mois. The exchange rate and banking charges for conversion to USD makes the price too high. There are other classical music apps offering Canadian subscriptions at lower rates. Best regards ### 1/5 — App still doesn't work *2025-05-25* I last wrote a review over a year ago, but the app still doesn't work. This App Store thinks I have an app installed but I don't! When I tried installing the app, it still didn't load! You are not maintaining the app properly--it also is not part of Apple TV+ or my LG TV. I also cannot use it through Safari. And I understand AirPlay doesn't work. At this rate, you will lose customers left and right! I would subscribe is there was one, otherwise a no thanks. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Still run by elementary school students *2026-05-22, version 9.0* Medici TV has promised for years to incorporate favorites on all of the various apps and websites and to have seamless integration. This has been promised for over 15 years. It still hasn’t happened. The problem with the title of my review is that it is unfair to elementary school children. They could do a better job than the executives who run Medici TV Roku TV doesn’t show any favorites – it doesn’t show any at all. The Roku app continues to be very limited compared to either the Apple app or their website. Again, Medici promised to fix that years ago and has done nothing. The Apple TV app only shows a small handful of my favorites. Once again, medici.tv promised to fix this years ago and they still haven’t done it. The medici.tv website is no better, because when I try to click on the second page or the next page of my favorites, I immediately get an error message. So even on the website, I can’t access all of my favorites. Medici staff, when are you losers going to actually honor and live up to all of the promises that you have made to your customers in these comments? Aren’t you a little embarrassed by this record? Or maybe as long as people are dumb enough to pay you figure it doesn’t matter. ### 1/5 — Dysfunctional App, bad customer support *2026-02-05* I created my account, then needed to change my password. The app would not recognize the new password. I reset again, and the app still would not recognize it. After several days went by with with me locked out and the original purpose I had in mind for the app having passed, I reached out to explain what happened and seek a refund, since I had been totally unable to use the service at any point. The customer service I received was incredibly disappointing and reflected very badly on Medici TV. Needless to say no resolution was reached. Best regards, medici.tv team ### 1/5 — They scam you the second year *2025-12-25, version 8.0* The app doesn't always work. Some concert don't load at all unless you quit the app and come back multiple times. They never fixed their offline download meaning you can't use it while you're traveling. And the worst experience is their renewal policy. They lure you with a good price. By default subscriptions renew automatically and they hike the price in such a nasty way you can't even cancel few seconds after the deadline. This is illegal in some countries. ### 1/5 — Crashes *2025-12-20, version 8.0* Not usable ### 1/5 — TheOldAdventurer *2025-10-12, version 7.3* I've watched Medici over several years. While its over elaborate app is poorly constructed and not intuitive the quality of its library feed has been excellent...until now as we approach 2026. For example the video quality of their recently loaded Franco Zeffirelli Don Carlo with Luciano Pavarotti is no better than the YouTube of the same 1992 recording. There are many other examples where the Medici engineers have apparently made no effort to secure the original video quality or parameters. Still, if you can stand this poor quality control, most of their library and certainly their live feeds are of the highest quality. ### 1/5 — Fails to load *2025-10-11, version 7.3* It tells me that it “failed to load. Please try again later.” After two months of this my remedy was to delete the app and cancel my subscription. Problem solved. There was not enough ballet for my liking anyways. ### 1/5 — Search does not work *2025-10-06, version 7.3* I try to search for one particular piece of music. I get hundreds of results of works by that composer and that performer ### 1/5 — Dishonest *2025-09-30* Charged my card £129 without permission for a “renewal” without sending any communication beforehand. Then it’s almost impossible to contact their customer service. This is dishonest and feels very “scammy”. Be very careful before sharing your card details with these people. ### 1/5 — Alexander Malofeev piano prodigy *2025-07-22* You do not have Alexander’s performances on Medici. Many pianist enthusiasts believe he, at 23 yo, is the greatest living pianist. Please include him. Given his exceptional musical genius, I assumed he would be on Medici. Other members have contacted you about this matter. I will not be renewing if he is not included in your programs. Best regards, medici.tv team ### 1/5 — iOS Apps Don’t Work *2025-07-18* The content itself is good, but be warned that the iOS app may not work at all - I have tested it on both an iPad Mini 5 and an iPhone 13 Mini, in each case running the latest iOS and fresh installs of the app, and the app simply fails to load on either device. As such, the only way I can access the content is in a browser on my PC. All works as expected using a web browser, but of course a browser UI is clunkier.
