In this case it was a period I knew little about but look forward to reading up on. If you are serious about military history, tactics, and strategy you will love these games. ### 5/5 — Excellent Addition To Hex War Lineup *2015-03-15* I enjoy these hex war games and acquire them as soon as they come out. This game opens up an entirely new realm of scenarios, units and game play. My favorite Hex War/hunted cow games are the 18th and 19th century ones (especially the napoleonic one and Civil War 64) and I look forward to a Thirty Years War game with all the variety that era encompassed. Nevertheless this is an engrossing and fast moving game. It is a bit pricey but I found it to be well worth the price. I have no problem if 9.99 is the cost of admission to keep these games rolling out on a fairly regular basis. ### 5/5 — Game of Thrones *2015-03-15* Another great hex war game. Font can’t be read numbnuts. ### 1/5 — Too easy or a bug. *2019-05-06* Flanders campaign and the Flemish army doesn’t move unless directly engaged. ‘Left flank is advancing’ etc - No it isn’t! Lost interest after a while, so a waste of money (which is a shame as I love these games). ### 1/5 — Recent Updates Cause Incompatibility *2019-03-10* Unfortunately, if you have been running the Hexwar series of games on older versions of iPads such an IOS 10, these updates are not compatible and will cause the update to crash. So, unless you have a recent IOS 11 iPad around to transfer these games, ignore all future updates unless they announce a fix to this problem. ### 3/5 — Good but needs more! *2015-07-05* Needs two player options!
