This game is very fun but there are a couple reasons it really doesn’t deserve 5 or maybe even 4 stars. 1. I am a few levels away from finishing the campaign and haven’t had to replay a level since level 20 or so. There is almost no point to ever buy or upgrade a melee unit. I just unlocked my first one since I have every ranged unit maxed. So no challenge what so ever unless these last few levels are impossible which would anger me. 2. There is no 2x speed button? I am fine with the pace of play but it honestly gets a little frustrated when 4 minutes into a level you can’t buy any more units and have to wait another 4-8 minutes till you win. 3. The endless survival mode is very boring. The game moves so slow and your hero is extremely weak so you just end up not paying any attention to it and wishing you hadn’t wasted 2 hours on one game. This is super annoying in battle. ### 5/5 — Absolute Cinema *2025-01-28, version 2.6* The game’s story is without a doubt one of the most compelling that I have ever had to pleasure of experiencing within a mobile game, the pacing of the exposition is masterfully executed and each character adds something to the dynamic, in addition its full of surprises and the consistent TTS voices is the cherry on top of it all. The later stages of the campaign are definitely challenging and will absolutely take a few attempts so make sure to tweak the difficulty in the settings and watch the ads mid game for the extra coins, and you should be good, also the ballista is your best friend. As for the multiplayer it is just as addictive as the campaign with the added bonus of featuring additional troops not available for use in the campaign, however, the only real criticism overall is that disconnecting from a match will instantly hault the game and not grant the remaining player a win and likewise not count as a loss for the player that disconnected. I would also love to see a means of communicating with opponents added in the form of preset phrases, emotes, or a text chat. In all this is an amazing game made by an amazing developer who deserves all the best. Shop payment coins seem to go back to the max after each game, as if you’d never bought the item. Whole shop system needs work. As in last game, some things keep playing even when sound is off. Voices in this case. Suggestions: Turn off collision for units. Stops units getting blocked by each other annoyingly. Set ranged and healing units to automatically go to the back line. Add option to move to a forward position and hold, rather than just back to base and then attacking. Forward position can move in line with furthest forward current soldier. More interesting gameplay. Current meta is - get hero, back up with archers, buff with healers. Same every game. Faster horses would stop this. ### 5/5 — Good game, few bugs *2024-11-08, version 2.6* Great game, really fun, i love how each unit can be used to win, no “do perfect” or “make strategy” where anything can work, as long as you plan out when you do your spells and soldiers. Here are a few bugs i noticed. 1. The gems, when you buy/upgrade, and go into the mission, every time I’ve done that, all 2500 or so gems I’ve spent, probably more, immediately get put back in my inventory, and the troops are still upgraded. It’s really broken. 2. Can’t finish timed missions with a victory, only standing. With missions where you have to holdout, sometimes I Manage to push them back using my troops, and push them to their spawn, but can’t destroy their hut to finish it early, and have a bit of time to wait. Then I bought 5k and it was fine. Paid 5 for the no ads which didn’t work at first either. Then tried buying 10k gems again and the same exact thing happened, spent some it and the rest disappeared. Tried contacting support that didn’t work. Tried restoring purchases that didn’t work. Tried getting a refund for the 2 items through Apple and I was denied lol. Can you please mention which mission is not working for you. Mission 4 objective is to kill 50 enemy units. If you manage to kill 50 units you will win. There is no timer related mission until mission 8. So, it would help me identify the issue if you could please mention which exact mission number is bugged for you.
