If you like swords, now you can feel one in your hands with this simulator of epic and famous swords. With ambient sounds for each option and sword sounds striking and cutting the wind when you shake the phone, as in a battle.

You can enjoy different swords according to the option you choose:

Barbarian: It is the widest weapon, it will make you feel the strength of the warrior.

Winter Knight: Simulating a fight against fire dragons.

When I first heard of the Obsidian Edge, I was intrigued. A sword of such immense power, wrapped in mystery and folklore, it seemed to promise greatness. I had to have it. Little did I know, this sword would lead me down a journey of reflection, disappointment, and profound existential questioning.

The first thing that caught my attention was the name—Obsidian Edge. The words alone conjured images of ancient warriors, standing on blood-soaked battlefields, wielding their mighty swords with unparalleled skill. Surely, a sword named like this could cleave mountains in half, slice through steel like butter, and perhaps even shatter time itself. Spoiler alert: it does none of these things.

Upon receiving the sword, I was struck by its weight—or lack thereof. At first glance, it seems imposing, its obsidian-black blade gleaming in the sunlight, but upon holding it, I was astounded by how unexpectedly light it was. The handle, wrapped in what I can only describe as “faux leather,” offered no true comfort for a battle-ready grip. It was as though the sword was made for someone who had never considered the concept of using a sword in any real capacity. Which, to be fair, it seems like that’s exactly what it was designed for.

The blade itself? A stunning piece of craftsmanship—if your idea of craftsmanship involves crafting a blade with absolutely no practical function. The edge was dull, with no sharpness to speak of. It was so dull, in fact, that if I tried to cut anything with it, I’d be more likely to bruise the object rather than slice it. I could try to use it for self-defense, but I think it might actually make things worse—perhaps I’d just gently tap my opponent and give them a false sense of security.

It’s not that the sword is poorly made; it’s just that it’s made for no reason. The blade has no use in combat, no utility in day-to-day life, and certainly no chance of holding up in any conceivable real-world sword fight. I attempted to swing it at a tree to test its durability, and all I succeeded in doing was mildly annoying the tree. The blade didn’t even chip. Perhaps this is a statement on the futility of trying to change nature—at least, I’d like to think it is. Maybe it’s a metaphor.

One thing I should mention is the sword’s remarkable ability to gather dust. I placed it on a shelf, only to find that by the following morning, it had attracted an inordinate amount of dust. Now, I’m no expert on sword dynamics, but I’m fairly certain that no other sword I’ve owned has quite mastered the art of collecting dust like the Obsidian Edge. It’s almost as if it’s purposefully drawing in the particles of the world around it—perhaps, like a black hole of pointlessness, it seeks to absorb everything in its path without contributing anything in return. This, of course, makes cleaning it a bothersome chore that I never actually get around to doing.

I tried to use the sword for decorative purposes, as some might do with their prized blades. But, in a strange turn of events, the Obsidian Edge failed to serve even that function. Its lack of color contrast against the wall of my living room rendered it virtually invisible unless one was standing directly in front of it. And even then, the glint of the dull blade only serves to remind you that this is, at best, a glorified paperweight. Not even a very heavy paperweight, mind you.

It’s truly baffling that such a majestic name and appearance can be paired with something so devoid of function. I think the sword may exist solely as a reminder that not everything in life needs to have a purpose, which, in hindsight, is a lesson worth learning. For every beautifully crafted object with purpose, there’s a sword like the Obsidian Edge—intended to do something, yet doing nothing at all. But perhaps that is its greatest triumph: in a world full of purpose-driven tools, the Obsidian Edge stands proudly, saying, “I am not here to do anything. And that is exactly what I will do.”

In conclusion, this sword is entirely and completely pointless. If you’re looking for a weapon to slay foes or a tool to conquer challenges, look elsewhere. The Obsidian Edge will not be the answer. But if you’re in the market for something that will utterly fail to do anything, this sword might just be what you’ve been waiting for. After all, isn’t there something oddly satisfying about owning something that serves no purpose? In a way, I’ve come to respect it for its sheer inability to do anything. It’s almost like a reflection of life itself.
