Can’t fast forward through the longggg “benefits of mediation” speech. I know the benefits, that’s why I downloaded the app. Assuming other do too? Frustrating trying to bypass it. Best to just say a few words and get to it, in my opinion. Sorry there are so many mindfulness apps out there (and podcasts) and I know in just a few secs if it’s gonna work for me. ### 3/5 — This app needs to be fixed *2019-04-15, version 2.5.7* The best guided meditations but it’s been so glitchy lately! Any meditation I click says it’s automatically completed, I never actually get to listen anymore. I wish there was a way to rewind/fast forward during the meditation. And tonight when trying to do my meditation for bed everyone I chose brought me to the end screen as if I had completed it even though I had just opened it. I have the latest update, seems to be more issues after this update. That being said. When it works I love it and the endless options to meet whatever need you may have to just stop and center yourself. I’m really bummed it’s not working. Looking forward to this daily to see the changes in my life it provides. ### 5/5 — Awesome but loses a star due to ad at end of sleep meditation *2017-02-14, version 1.2.6* The meditations are wonderful and I really enjoy the app. I would give the app 5 stars but for the ad at the end of the Deep Sleep meditation. At the beginning of the meditation, the speaker says it's OK and normal to drift off to sleep at the end of this, which when listening on my iPhone, I usually do. However, on the iPad version, after a soothing 10 minute meditation to a man's voice, a woman's voice comes on asking me to rate the app if I am enjoying it. She shocks me every time and I wake back up again slightly. My heart beats a bit faster for a few seconds. As I've paid for this app, I do not appreciate that it is asking me to rate the app after I've used a meditation to help me fall asleep. Not very smart placement on their part. After the app updated on 14 October 2016, the app would no longer work. The paid features were relocked. Despite my trying to contact developers nothing has restored this function. DO NOT buy this app. They just take your money. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Ripped off on a hidden subscription *2019-05-26, version 2.5.8* I was unknowingly charged $29.99 for a 6-month subscription - they managed to charge me three times before I realized the charges were even going through. Nowhere in the app did it state I was agreeing to a 6-month subscription. More fool me for being conned. You live and learn. Hope others are not losing money as well and hope they get shut down. ### 1/5 — Stole my money *2019-01-11, version 2.5.6* I used the free trial in this, because my wifi doesnt work often I only use apps that let me download for offline use, hard to meditate with wifi stressing me out every 5min. When I saw this didnt have that option i canceled the automatic renewing and deleted the app, 3 weeks later out of nowere it charged me $31 for membership and apple wont refund it. I didnt even have the app installed. Ive never had an app do that after canceling the subscription and wouldnt trust one that does. Its stealing and i want my money back. I’ve paid for the pro version of this app to meditate first thing in the morning, The app usually is buggy and crashes. Also when I downloaded it they said that I can use it in the family plan but now when I try use the Family Sharing on my Apple ID it says I have to purchase on the other devices too. Thank you ### 1/5 — Causes Stress & Anxiety!!! *2017-09-24, version 2.1.9* I paid for this Zen Mixer app on my Apple TV4 and it does not work properly. The ambient sounds do not play in a loop, so they just stop after a few seconds of playing. The voice sessions do not have a working status bar (at the top), so I can't fast forward or rewind a session. Super annoying, because if I'm in the middle of one and something happens, I can't get back to my place without restarting the entire session. This app is, ironically, causing me stress. Since I have complied with the requests to send videos showing the issue and have not received any response, I will be needing a refund for my purchase. I paid $40 for lifetime access on the old zen mixer and now I don't have access to anything. I'm not even able to finish out the year that I would have technically paid for, for this new version of the app. The app is fine but their business practice is a scam. Do not pay them anything. Response to developer: Your practice is still a scam. I paid $40 for unlimited access on the old app that you stopped supporting and then you replaced it with this one. I got maybe a month out of the old app and guess what I am not allowed to download any of the meditations from the old app. I paid $40 for about a months access. In your new app that would have gotten me a year. So no you didn't fix the problem with your now account based program because it wasn't account based in the old one. Maybe your business practice has gotten better but that does not fix anything for the people beforehand who got screwed. You are still a one star business to me. ### 1/5 — Buyer beware *2016-12-01, version 1.2.5* Previous version no longer recognized and started acting buggy. When you try to reinstall the app it is no longer available in your purchased items. You have to search for it and if you download it again it doesn't recognize that you already paid for it and wants you to subscribe to a monthly charge or an even more expensive charge that's totally not worth the cost. The choice of music and also music/volume adjustment slider control is a big plus. There are a few improvements I would like to see: 1) The app is not fully functional on the iPad, as I am not able to change the music selection or move the volume/voice slider control. 2) For the Breath Tool, I suggest adding the option for music and/or nature sounds as well as a timer and breath count options for inhale, hold, and exhale. Most of the breathing apps have this functionality, so it would be great to enahnce the breath tool to include all these features. 3) Add some music/nature sound selections or moving pictures as an enhancement. All in all, this app truly helps me unwind and I like the regular updates the developer is making. ### 5/5 — My Fav App *2017-03-21, version 1.3.3* I've been using ZenMixer for a year now. It is my favorite app. There are many meditations and sounds to choose from and the design is sleek and super user-friendly. I've tried many meditation apps and ZenMixer is by far the best!
