Medpharma is a mobile and web application which digitizes healthcare through an aggregation of Providers (Hospitals, Pharmacies and Laboratories), drugs (Over the Counter drugs, prescriptions and medical devices), Specialists (Doctors and Pharmacists) and the patient. Medpharma delivers your product and service at your convenience, allows patients to rate Medical practitioners and the service provider based on how well they perform and digitizes an encrypted version of your medical records for easier and convenient use when needed. Medpharma’s key objectives are: - To gradually close the patient-doctor ratio. - Provide patients with relatively competitive pricing of drugs. - Deploy telemedicine as a way of serving the patient. - Deliver drugs and healthcare at the point of need of the patient. PATIENT - DOCTOR RATIO The World Health Organization recommend that, the Doctor-Patient Ratio should be at 1: 600. However, in Africa is believed to have as high as 1:50,000 patients. Due to this, hospitals and clinics get unusually clogged on a daily basis, limiting emergency patient’s quality access to medical practitioners. Medpharma seeks to bridge that gap.
