MedTunnel provides a HIPAA-compliant solution that allows physicians and patients to exchange private health information (PHI) that can include documents or messages. You can access MedTunnel via a web browser, a desktop app for both Mac or PC, or this iOS app. The MedTunnel iOS app allows you to send/receive both SMS and email style messages with file attachments from a single platform and inbox. No need to toggle between apps. You can even send secure messages to non-MedTunnel users via email. The unique security employed by MedTunnel utilizes two separate keys to encrypt messages. Since one key is known only by MedTunnel and the other key is known only by an independent third party, and MedTunnel and the third party are contractually obligated not to reveal their keys to each other, neither MedTunnel nor the third party can read your messages which makes MedTunnel a secure conduit through the Internet for sending PHI. I can’t understand why they have option “stay logged in” and they never keep you stay in? Every single time i must spend 5 min to log in back. It’s free and they provide a needed service so I don’t complain about the issues over the years but it has not worked on iPhone for months.
